Stopped by for a soft serve ice cream. The clerk was nice and helpful. She informed me that the waffle cones were homemade. For me, that was a new and an added bonus. I paid a little over $7.00 for a soft serve and a waffle cone. The ice cream was pretty good and the waffle cone was tasty. They have outdoor seating and play pop music indoors. You can also hear it as you drive into the parking lot. Surely, a great spot for a frozen treat. read more

I've been here twice now so I feel Like I can finally confidently post a review. The ice cream is good. But is it worth the price? I have to say I'm not sure I can return because the prices are outrageous. I order a milkshake and a small vanilla soft serve with hot fudge. $18! Am I the only one that thinks that's crazy? Once I tipped the girl (who had no business coming in the door) it was $22 but I know that part is on me. But still $18 for a milk shake and small cup with barely enough hot fudge on it. Brand new ice cream spot in Sparta. This building is on our way to the vet and it had been decrepit and sad for a while, they did a great job on renovating it to its former glory. The ice cream was great! We tried the chocolate peanut butter and coconut choco almond The chocolate peanut butter was not as sweet as I expected and more to the dark chocolate side, which I loved!!!! Coconut choco almond - is a creamy vanilla ice with shredded coconut, chocolate chips and almond slivers. Think high quality almond joy! Definitely brought joy to the gloomy rainy day. Great ice cream and excellent service! They did s great job with picnic tables on concrete slabs, umbrellas and music that you can enjoy. What should have been a fun roadside ice cream stop ended up being a melty mess from hell. The first strike, though, was that they had no normal/regular cones. Our daughter wanted her chocolate soft serve on one, and they had zero EXCEPT for these massive chocolate-dipped sprinkle ones that are five times the price and a completely ridiculous portion for a child. One of us was smart to order the funky monkey in a bowl, which was a fine enough experience. But then the other one of us ordered a scoop of cherry-van-choc-chips and a scoop of birthday cake--also on their (fascist) massive cone. The cherry flavor was already melting down the sides of the cone as it was coming through the window. The ice cream was obviously not cold enough, and the worker didn't have the foresight to ask the customer if she still wanted it or not. Great training of the generation of kids who are already can't function unless they're watching TikTok! Sprinkles were flying around, and the ice cream ended up getting EVERYWHERE. It was such a disgusting, unpleasant mess. Train your staff! Don't serve melted ice cream! Have the "workers" go and clean the tables instead of stare at their phones. The ice cream here is good enough, but what a terribly-run establishment. They've lost our business, which could have been substantial since we frequently drive by en route to and from the Poconos. Ice cream is super delicious but not as good as the other homemade places in the nearby area - Dairy Swirl, Denville Dairy, Alpine Creamery. The service is quick and friendly. But then there's the price. I'm not cheap by any means and willing to pay for quality but it's so hard to justify $10pp when there are other good places around for half the price. Any time I go with other people, it ends up being about $10 per person. Then there's tipping which I do but it's even more! The other weird thing is the music. The music reminds me of the odd tracks recorded only for TLC shows. And it's super loud. read more

This place has a lot going for it: convenient location (as long as you're traveling south on 15 coming and going), fun decor, great looking table area, and tasty ice cream. But it's short comings make it not worth the trip: As one other poster mentioned, it's pricy, like 14.25 for two small cups with sprinkles kind of pricy. I'm all for small businesses making a buck, but please don't charge me more for an ice cream along a highway in Sparta than what I pay down the shore. And don't charge a lot for sprinkles - just don't. The ordering process is ok, but the posted prices don't include tax, so paying gets slowed down. It might seem petty, but include the taxes in your price. It speeds the whole thing up a lot. And if you're listing flavors, list all the flavors; having to ask what the sugar free and vegan choices are seems unnecessary. Last thing about ordering, the really cool menu items you have bring the line to a halt. I recently saw a party of three get three "fancy" items and the order took almost ten minutes to fill. Those customers didn't care, but the 15 behind them did. The last issue has been at this location since it was Zingas (RIP), and it's gross. The table areas smell. I think there's an issue with the septic. Depending on which way the wind blows, or if it's humid out you can smell it, and it's such a downer. If you're coming down 15 from the Poconos and want some good ice cream with an easy parking lot to get in and out of, this is your place. I'm not ripping you apart here, SS. I'm hoping you make some tweaks because you could be so much better. read more

Stopped in for Ice cream tonight. Wife had a sundae and I , being diabetic asked for the sugar free ice cream. They had none. Needless to say I didn't get any ice cream. We have been watching this place being transformed for the past year (or more?) as we drove to work or Shoprite. The owners really worked hard and did a great transformation! We took our 4 kids and each got something different so we could sample each others items. There were a lot of different varieties of hard ice cream and the employees let us sample some. All of the ones we tried were very good. The employees were very nice and seemed happy to be there. I would reccomend lowering the music a little (good music!) just was hard to communicate with the employees. The picnic tables were nicely finished and I appreciated the concrete slab they were on so the bugs weren't on us. Everything was great! i think the chocolate shake was my favorite! It was a little pricey for us to come back frequently but I guess everything is going up these days ‍. We will definitely be back to try different flavors. Best of luck!! read more
