I came on line to get the number to make an appt. for next week because my cell was out of juice. I couldn't help but glance at the other reviews. Only the last two resonate with my experiences. So far I've only been 4-5 times because I drive all the way from very North Dade. I discovered the place when getting glasses from an up-scale optometry shop in the same shopping plaza. I return because it is the only place I've been to in many years where the polish lasts and they do a decent, better than most, though not perfect, job with cuticles and calluses. Some comments about the other reviews. My Spanish is spotty but I get along fine primarily because my Spanish is better than my Vietnamese or Thai. Razors are history everywhere, primarily due to the liability and the fact the grater is equally effective. I know, I get pedicures for the calluses, not the toe paint. Personally, I've had only the very best experiences with the front desk, either on the phone or in person, very professional. My wish list for this place would include actually operating the super early hours that are posted as I'm disappointed I can't get in at the crack of dawn on a Sunday. Also, I have yet to receive a massage. I don't ask for one because that's not my way. The point is that I still go back because this is "better than MOST places in Miami. read more

DO NOT GO HERE! My mother and I frequented this nail salon on numerous occasions. It started off quite lovely in the beginning, with clean and sterile equipment which they would open in front of each client whether it be for a manicure or a pedicure. My mother held weekly appointments with one technician in particular who was very kind and did do a good job. Weeks went by and the front desk did not honor her appointments scheduled with the specific technician and pawned her off to whoever was available. The front desk employees are indeed extremely rude and unaccommodating. I digress. My most recent experience at this salon deals with the fact that I was forced to uncomfortably side saddle a pedicure chair while receiving a very poorly done manicure due to the lack of manicure tables available. Not okay. As I've been away at school in the Boston, Massachusetts area, I was looking forward to coming home to a mani pedi appointment only to hear that my mother has not only acquired toe-nail fungus, but also a finger-nail fungus from this salon. Dis-grossting!! We will never be returning to SpaTacular nails as they have completely misrepresented themselves with this name. read more

HORRIBLE - RIP OFF -- BEWARE The workers (I can't even call them "technicians") are rude, untrained and sloppy. I walked in for a pedicure, the front desk person was inattentive and thought it was ok to take several phone calls while i stood waiting. I was finally given a woman who did not understand English. I could not find the color I wanted, and got no help from her to find it. The foot bath was the WORST.. i asked for use of razor, and got a blank stare. She then used a wide scraping utentsil which was ineffective, mostly due to her lack of use. She did not want to work too hard exfoliating and proceeded to finish the bath, when I asked her to remove the dead skin from under and around the nails. She gave another exasperted sigh, and in spanish called over another person, who finished the job with an attitude which seemd as if this was all too much work for her and I am a demanding client. She then asked me how often i got pedicures. I responded 1x month, to which she says in scolding tone that i must come in every 2 weeks because this is "too much work!" She kept repeating "every 2 weeks," I should have said this is the typical procedure for PROFESSIONAL pedicurist, but did not think she would understand English well enough to get it. She slapped on some polish, which upon close inspection covered the nail AND the toes. I paid and even tipped her 20% thinking she would then be apologetic at the poor service! Ha NOT! I guess you get what you pay for...except they charged me $25 for the lousy, rude service and pedicure. These folks don't know what a professional pedicure is.... they provide a short foot bathe, a light scraping with exfoliating cream, and then a lousy nail polishing. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! read more

I went to this place at a friend's recommendation. The work is good and consistent and the staff is very pleasant. It is not clean. I find nail clippings on the chairs and floors and the area where hair is blown looks like there is a carpet of hair. Worse, in the back the staff is forced to huddle on inadequate seating during breaks, no break room. It's like a sweat shop. Can't return. read more

The only reason i even went was because it was right by my house, when i got there the lady in the front desk ignored me for like 10 minutes while she answered phones, finally when someone helped me i had picked out "wicked" by Essie ( my favorite) and the lady i guess didn't think i spoke Spanish and started talking to her coworker saying that what a pain i was for picking such a hard color to do. than she proceeded in telling me - in Spanish-English- since i bite the skin around my nails no guy is going to want to hold my hand because its ugly. i looked at her like she was on crack. She was extremely rude and did a horrible job. i paid her and tipped her just out of courtesy and i will never go back. read more

I've been going to this place for about three years, and today I've hit my limit with it. The only two people worth the visit are Marly and Adys, as they're both nice, professional and talented nail technicians. The customer service, or lack thereof, is TERRIBLE. I have been trying since 9am to contact them for an appointment, and I'm either placed on hold so long that I need to hang up and call back, or they just don't pick up the phone. I used their text message appointment maker and have gotten no response. The receptionist is rude, and doesn't even wait to acknowledge if you're ok with holding the line. Every time she screws up, which is FREQUENTLY, the answers are "well there's nothing I can do". UNACCEPTABLE. I've been very patient, despite the numerous times that this same receptionist has screwed up my appointments (gave me an evening instead of morning appointment, leaving me with no one available for my nails, not booking my eyebrow appt, etc.), because I feel bad not going to Marly anymore after all this time, but I've had it. I've tried to tell the owner a couple of times that I'm unhappy with the receptionist, but to no avail. I have a wedding next week, and there's no way to schedule an appointment at this place!!! I'm taking my business elsewhere because there's only so much garbage one can take. I've been a loyal customer for all this time, and it's been a completely thankless endeavor. I can't even begin to explain how upset I am that over 10 phone calls have been ignored by that girl. It's ridiculous. I'm done with them. I'd advise everyone to find another nail place, because while it's unfortunate that I won't have my same nail tech anymore, the fact is that there are talented nail techs in other places who actually give a **** about their customers. This is not one of those places, and it's a damn shame. read more

Amazing service. Nail technicians are courteous prompt and professional. No matter the time of day they always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcomed. They go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and that you can relax. If for some reason you mess up your nails or have a mishap they gladly fit you in and fix the affected nail even if the technician fixing your nail was not the one that did the original work. The salon is clean, the tools are sterilized and individually wrapped and customer satisfaction is their goal which they easily achieved. They use quality materials and the technicians take their time to provide a perfect manicure/pedicure. My regular manicure often last in excess of 8 days. Couldn't think of going any place else. I have standing appointments with Noemi but have used other techs and all are excellent. I would use any of them without hesitation. Do make appointments as they are consistently busy and for good reason. Congratulations Spatacular for consistently exceeding expectations and setting yourself apart from other nail salons. read more

I've been coming here for years now. While I agree that the customer service offered by the front desk is anything but service, and that it's not the snazziest place in Miami, the majority of the girls do a very good job. I'm probably about as picky as they come & Dyana never lets me down. Edge to edge even polish (nothing makes me more bananas than when a nail tech avoids getting to the edge in an effort to avoid having to clean the extra polish that gets around ur finger) & super clean cuticles! They're instruments are sanitized & they wear cloves. It can definitely be a challenge to get an appointment last minute so if you're someone who's trying to run in b/c last minute Friday night plans came up, this is not the spot for you. It can get chattery sometimes but nothing crazy. I've most certainly experienced worse (& it's a Spanish nail salon let's be realistic, besides, when was the last time you worked in silence all day). All in all, if you can schedule an appointment in advance & can handle the front desk for the solid 2 min you have to deal with her, mani/pedi is totally worth it. read more

I've been coming here regularly since they opened several years ago. Yes, it's loud and the receptionists are pretty rude. I've learned to just kill them with kindness over the years, because it's worth it. The nail techs are just that good. I've tried other places and always come back here. It's surprisingly difficult to find a good nail tech in this city, who will cut your cuticles without cutting your fingers and will actually file/paint your nails the way you want. You can literally go with any nail tech that works here and have a great manicure/pedicure. The place is very clean; all the tools are sterilized. The hours are fantastic, especially for working women who can only come late in the evenings, and you really can't beat the price. I know that not everyone has a great experience here, but you really need to pick your battles. I'll happily deal with a little noise and a rude receptionist to get an amazing manicure and pedicure at a great price at a time that accommodates my schedule. I've also never had a problem making an appointment here or walking in last minute. Maybe I've been just been lucky for the past serval years. read more

This place has gone down hill. The front desk receptionists are extremely rude. It's almost impossible to actually get through bc they leave you on hold for 10 minutes at a time and when you call back it either goes to voicemail or they pick up with major attitude, just had this experience with Moni. I know the owner Marta BC I was one of the first clients when the salon opened. When she was around more the girls were friendlier and not constantly on the phone. I used to live in Pinecrest, but continued to come here after I moved to the beach. My first bad experience was when a nail technician was too busy on the phone to notice she cut me twice. I kept giving it more tries BC I really liked the place, but not going back specifically because of the receptionists. Horrible customer service. read more

The absolute worst customer service I have ever experienced. After asking to change the color after only one coat, the manicurist gave me attitude and said she only had an hour and a half with me ( yet she still finished with 20 minutes to spare). She then proceeded to give me attitude throughout the rest of my appointment. After I left I recieved a call from Spatacular saying that another customer said I was rude and if I want to change the color after having all my nails done (which was untrue) that I will be charged an additional fee. Never have I heard of a company calling a PAYING customer to COMPLAIN. I am livid and will absolutley NEVER patronize this salon again. read more

I am a regular customer there, and I never had a problem. In fact on 6/9/2010 I was a pedestrian struck by a car, and they helped me take all the grable and dirt from my toe nails. Any problems speak with Marta the owner, she will make it right. The hours are also terrific..... read more

I don't know what some of these people are talking about. Everytime I go there they are extremely professional!!! I have no trouble communicating with their staff then at all the Asian salons where they barely speak English. It is very sanitary and pleasant to have your nails done there! read more

This place has very low ratings and yet everytime I go I'm amazed. They have lots of colors, a regular manicure lasts 6 days! The girls are real detailed, I always go to Dania. I was sitting down for an hour and did not mind one bit. I got my cuticles cut to perfection and she painted my whole nail (unlike other salons who leave the sides slightly unpainted!) The downside is that it is a very busy and packed place. I say make appointments a week in advance at least. Also, one time I went I had to sit in a pedicure chair for like 10-15 minutes which didn't bother me but could see how others would find it not worth their money. First time I went there I was short changed but good manicure. They had to have me wait recount the register and apologize second time, made appointments waited over half an hour and the manager had attitude when I asked her why should we be waiting when we have an appointment. I can understand five or ten minutes. Thirty five minutes is too long. If it was a great pedicure I would overlook it but is an average pedicure. read more

Horrible customer service over the phone and by the front desk person. You can't understand the business name when they answer and most times, they put you on hold for many minutes. The nail technician made me wait in the pedi chair for 10 minutes (with no water in the foot bath and no towel under my feet) while she did something in the back. I almost walked out but I was desperate. The pedi itself was not very enjoyable. The lady kept addressing me in Spanish and was annoyed when I asked her to speak English. This location is so convenient for me but they disappoint every time from start to finish. Yes, they have many color choices for polish as stated in other reviews but that doesn't cut it. This place does a great job on mani/pedi. Always on schedule, quick and professional. I've been going there for a few months now and all the technicians provide a good service. Haven't had any of the other services, so I can't comment on those. The tech I had on 11/22 (name starts with an A... Can't remember)--she took extra time to attend to a problem area while doing my pedi. You seldom see that type of care and attention nowadays. Great place to get away to take care of your nails....and you won't spend all day doing it!! I have been doing my nails at Spatacular Nails every week for over a year and tried several technicians there. I'm very picky about services and I never had a problem with them (the technicians). Now, the service at the front desk is very hectic and the girl in charge have done several mistakes with my scheduled app and she never apologizes, she doesn't smile. Sorry, but if I could give this place a 0 I would. There is nothing good to say about my experience at this nail spa. I went there w/a group from my firm, as we were heading out to celebrate a major win on a case. So we decided to get dolled up. One of the partners was able to get an appointment here (no wonder) to accommodate all of us....to start, the place is TOO small and cramped. It is really small and the ventilation is poor. I would be willing to overlook that IF they did a good job, but no. I have never had such a terrible French manicure before. The nail tech had to remove the polish 3x and redo my nails over and over. Eventually I told her to just leave it as is.... The cherry on top? She didn't speak English. Never going back here and sorry Perfect Nails....going to this place wasn't my idea. read more
