But yea reading the comments I agree, the lady in the phone is very RUDE NO MATTER HOW YOU SOEAK TO HER, very UNPROFESSIONAL SPECIALLY THE ONE IN THE MORNING , it's like something is up her ass, and honestly makes the place look really bad. UPDATE: 2nd time I speak to the owner of this salon and explain why it is unacceptable to constantly give her clients issues about their appointments. Her response in Spanish was to tell me not to go back to the salon. DO NOT GO HERE. Getting a manicure and pedicure is a luxury. One that should be convenient for a client. Spatacular makes it anything but easy or convenient. There is always an issue with appointments. They either cancel your appointment last minute with an excuse & don't bother rescheduling or they push your appointment back to later which creates a problem for your personal schedule. It seems this salon wants to make their problems, the clients problems. So if a manicurist is out or someone is running late, GOOD LUCK. That's now your problem because you too will be late. A manicure is a manicure anywhere you go. I'd rather take my business somewhere that knows how to run a professional salon without creating a scheduling problem for me. Horrible! Just bad :(( so disappointed, the technician did not how to do her job, she cut my toes, left me injured. , I think she literally didn't know how to do it. Ended up not doing mani, just pedi, look at the picture. The nails on my hands were filed upwards, so it's bended in wrong direction and super sensitive and painful, I have to put bend-aids to keep them together. Usual complains about nails that the polish is bad or nails chipped too fast, I did not expected to not be able to use my hands. Can't even push a button on seatbelt it hurts!!! The manager was supposed to call back but she didn't. They didn't charge me, but what a waste of time, I need not only to redo nails ( no big deal!) but wait for my hands to heal!! I used to go to this salon and had forgotten why I stopped, but my visit this weekend reminded me. I went in for a pedicure and the massage chair was the only good thing about it. The technician went in super deep with the cleaning - it was painful at the time but I trusted her when she said it was necessary. (I get monthly pedicures, though, so it's not like I walked in looking like Bigfoot.) Today (pedi was yesterday), I woke up with pain in two toes thanks to her handiwork. To top it off, the polish application looks like I did it myself, and I suck at it, hence the regular pedicures. read more

I just called to make an appointment and the receptionist was just so rude. This seems to always be a problem ( looking at all the 1 star reviews). The conversation i just had went as follows: Me: can I please book an appt. with _____ R: she's booked until Saturday M: okay I'll do Saturday R: what time do you want? M: morning please R: she only has 2 pm Me: Okay... I'll take that ( but truly why ask me what time I want?) I said thank you for booking it and she hung up on me. I would think the owners would want someone with better customer service/ phone skills as their first point of contact with clients. My sister recommended her nail tech that she really likes so this is the only reason I'm keeping this appointment. But in any other circumstance, I would cancel or not ever go because of the RUDENESS. i wish the owners took what people are saying into consideration. Cintia and Jessica did an AMAZING job with my nails! I wanted to do subtle nail art and they absolutely nailed it (pun intended). I showed them a photo of nude nails with a small red heart and you can see that the finished outcome was spot on. My mom also sees Helen every week and swears by her manicure pedicures. I have been going to Spatacular for about 6 years. I am loyal to a technician once I find one I like and NEVER cancel last minute. I have found 1-2 technicians that are GREAT - Daisy is AMAZING! But the owner/manager Martha lost me as a customer today. I had an appointment and when I tested positive for Covid I gave the appointment to my mom rather than cancel last minute. I got a call that I owed the salon $20 because my appointment was for a gel mani/reg pedi and my mom did not do the gel mani. Therefore I owed them the money since I didn't warn them of the change. I CALLED THREE TIMES to let them know about the change and got no answer, yet somehow it's all my fault. I was trying to have a civil, adult conversation with Martha but she kept cutting me off, not letting me speak and telling me how I cheated the technician out of the money. I offered to pay the girl $20 directly for the loss, but was informed "that's not how it works". Martha then proceeded to rudely tell me I will be marked as a customer who is problematic and then proceeded to hang up on me. I hate to leave Daisy and not give her my business because she is not at fault, but I refuse to support any business that treats their customers with such disdain and disrespect. The main reason I come to this nail salon is it's convenient and I like that they close later. I see a lot of reviews complaining about appts and the front desk. The person at the front during the day is a bit more dry than the nighttime girl so I get it. One time, I made an appointment and it was completely "deleted" and saw the person given my appt walk right by me. That was a bummer since I had an event the next day but it wasn't the end of the world. Still, I learned from that experience and always make sure to double check that my appointment is on the calendar and I make the next appointment when im paying for current one. I'm also consistent with my nail tech and I always go in the evenings. If you want to skip all the banter between the nail techs, I find that the evenings are nice and quiet. My nail tech always does a good job, I've never had an issue, she's very detailed. My natural nails have grown a lot under her care. I don't even do gel nails anymore. I keep coming back because the quality of the service, price, and convenience make sense for me. I try to plan ahead as much as possible to avoid scheduling issues. read more

My experience last week: The place is too narrow to serve so many clients at the same time they do not respect the COVID19 protocols, the employees talk all the time to each other in another language, they ignore the client, the products are low quality, the tools are worn, several of the pedicure chairs had the mechanism broken, the water did not circulate, the employee did not even apologize, they found it funny. The only one's to respect the sign of silence, are the clients, Diana did not make any kind of effort to make personal contact, to make me her client, she addressed me in a very familiar way as if she knew me or I was her child, giving me orders, in Instead of asking me to move or act in any direction, and when I made an observation about the work I needed on my feet, she said that she had done enough and I ignore myself, when she finished she got up and left without any comment, quite rude, I do not recommend this place in any way and I did not have an experience relaxed and enjoyable. read more

I've actually been here several times in the past and just didn't love the experience. It had been over two years and I received a gift card to come here for a mani and a pedi. I was very pleased with the service this time. The place is very clean, the lady doing my nails was very sweet and attentive. She got deep in there and took out all the hangnails with NO PAIN, and really had me relaxed. She yelled at me and my niece and told us she wasn't going to finish her manicure. She was doing a terrible job and my niece was unhappy. I had been going to Spatacular since the day they opened. The technicians were always amazing but as stated, the receptionists are incredibly rude and unprofessional. I was encouraged to try their new "acrylic type" nails. I stepped out of my comfort zone after the owner spent five minutes pushing me to try and assuring me that my nails would not be ruined. When I returned to remove these God awful nails, the technicians had not been trained to properly remove them. They spoke amongst themselves about how they had struggled to take them off clients but were doing the best they could. They left my nails in pure acetone for ONE HOUR. That did not seem to do the job, so they manually scrapped my nail beds. Still, the glue from these fake nails was going nowhere and they proceeded to use an automatic nail filer to complete the removal. My nails were shaved down to was was essentially the skin under my nail beds. I have never complained about a service. In fact, this is my first Yelp review. The owner knows me by name and when I approached her to advise her of what had just taken place, she did not have the decency to look at me. This ordeal took place two months ago. For the past two months, I have had to file my nails every day due to them breaking after something so simple as washing my hands. Two of my nails have sliced down the middle. I have pictures but will save whoever is reading this from the gruesome sight. I feel embarrassed to have spent years recommending this salon to others. I have such mixed feelings about this salon. I love that their tools are sterilized with a machine and opened in front of each client - which I have yet to find in any of the other manicure/pedicure salons I've been to. They have a great selection of Essie and OPI colors, and have a lot of shades from newer collections. The customer service, however, is atrocious. The nail technicians are constantly answer their phones and texting DURING their appointments. During one of my experiences, I was seated directly under a "Silence please - no cell phones" sign yet the nail tech talked loudly on her phone the entire time she was painting my nails. Marley is hands down the only person worth going to, she's so sweet and does the best job. Other than that, they need to seriously step up their customer service. read more

They're always in the worst moods and no matter how nicely you speak to them, they'll make sure to take back with attitude and distaste for your presence. I have tried making appointments 3 times and no luck. I don't understand how they have no availability, ever. they told me sundays are slow, apparently not. I called one weekend, I was put on hold - after 10 minutes I hung up and tried calling again, several times. voicemail every time. so I decided to just drive over and try my luck with walk in. the girl was super rude and was like do you have an appointment, I said no, ive been calling for the last 30 minutes with no answer so I just showed up. she said well sorry we are fully booked. she didn't even try to get me to wait around. it was 2 pm and they are open till 6. they have at least 15 girls on staff and only 1 lady waiting for an appt. (im so glad I never posted it bc they do not deserve the 3 stars bc their customer service and staff is pathetic) great hours -- 7 days a week with very long hours!! great location -- right on us and 112 street. great hygiene -- very clean, organized, and all the girl are dressed in hot pink scrubs with coordinating tote bags for their supplies. so everyone looks neat and uniform, plus no messy supplies all over the place. great selection of colors - Essie, opi, and a few brands of shellac polishes. the girls were NOT super friendly, which is ok, I usually like to be quiet and relax during my mani/pedi, but that was kinda hard bc they were talking and gossiping amongst each other the whole time. the girl doing my mani took 3 phone calls and talked on and on while slacking off on my hands and feet. Booked an appointment for mani/pedi. Upon arrival I told the nail tech, if we could start with the pedicure since I had shellac on my hands. She then informed me there was a $10 fee to remove the shellac. In my 2 years of wearing shellac, I've never heard, nor walked into a salon where they charge you to remove it, when you're getting a manicure and pedicure. It'd be a different story if I walked in saying I just wanted to remove the shellac, without any other services, then I could understand the charge. I walked out, and went over to Pinkies in sunset Place. There was no charge to remove the shellac, and I got an awesome mani/pedi there. They were much nicer, efficient, and fast. Very sloppy manicure. The tech painted the sides of fingers then wiped it off. That just shows the tech doesn't know how to do her job or doesn't care about her work.
