I have to start by saying the only reason they get 4 stars is because their pizza is that amazing. The Supreme is bargain considering that they use huge hunks of portobello and the sheer amount of toppings makes each slice extremely heavy and satisfying Their special with goat cheese, pesto and roasted garlic may be my favorite. Everyone finds it extremely difficult to limit themselves to the polite and socially acceptable 2 slices when they try it. Their biggest downfall is their delivery time. They truly need to have more drivers available, especially on Thursday and Friday nights. One evening, when we were given a time frame of 45 minutes to an hour for delivery, we didn't receive our pizza until an HOUR AND 45 minutes later. When we called to check in on the status after and hour and half, assuming that we were either forgotten or something horribly tragic happened, we were told it would be there shortly and no attempt to apologize or discount our pizza or future order was made. For cold pizza arriving nearly 2 hours after the order time, I found this fairly irritating (okay, mind-numbingly incomprehensible), but alas it was my extremely polite boyfriend who handled the situation. After the hangry subsided, I didn't call back to complain in order to uphold the implicit trust in our relationship. I chose love over customer satisfaction. On two other occasions, the delivery was 20 minutes after the given time range. The last time we ordered, the very nice person taking our order gave us the heads up that it would be at least an hour giving us the opportunity to go for the pick up instead. They either need to be extremely up front about the limitations of their one, possibly two, delivery guys at the time of ordering or politely suggest that picking up would be faster. Again, if it weren't for the absolutely incredible pizza, their delivery woes would possibly cripple this place. read more

I have this four stars because this place is a great no-nonsense pizza place. I work nearby and it's always nice to run and get a piece of pizza from a place that knows how to keep the crust thin and crispy, makes a good sauce, and has variety. Their cannoli'a are actually really great despite being in the soda case... Good place, good price. read more

Recently ordered a small Hawaiian pie to go. It was thin, crisp and loaded with toppings for only $10. Easily enough pizza for two or maybe one with a very big appetite! It was ready in 15 minutes and truly delicious - I have also had their spinach and ricotta pie - easily the best pizza in the area! Trenton style pizza is some of the best pizza I've ever had. Get it with pepperoni and mushroom. They use big fresh mushroom slices. Gone in for pickup a few times and got delivery once. Great experience every time. read more

Eh. The pizza is ok. They use really big toppings, if that's your thing. They have a hard time with listening and tend to get your order wrong. Asked for half mushroom and half pepperoni. Got half mushroom and pepperoni and half plain. read more

Wow. Thay place was the best find in my recent food ventures. I had a pepperoni stromboli and it was lights freaking out. The pepperoni was high in quality. Not the cheap typical kind. The cheeses and sauce spoke to me from a higher power...sweet but very rich.. It was only three dollars..by looking at it, id say most places would charge double that. Updated review (still 5-star), after 2 years of ordering from them occasionally: Very small place (seats maybe 6, all at a counter) -- but great pizza! Not a large menu, but they make a great pizza. The crust is really good, and they use really good-quality toppings - portabella mushrooms, large slices of sausage (not crumbled bits of round sausage), roasted red peppers, carmelized onions). Delicious! And the Trenton pie (a rectangular pie with the sauce on top, though I wouldn't call it a Sicilian - different dough, etc) is really tasty. They deliver for several miles around (including at least some of Valley Forge Mountain) - but note, they get very busy delivery-wise at dinnertime, so order early. The do use caller-id to remember your address, which is a nice touch. read more

Consistently excellent, love their Brooklyn pie, worth the drive past closer places. Plenty of choices when ordering by the slice. They recently moved within the same strip mall to a larger location. I really like the food at Spatola's. My favorites are cheese pizza and manicotti (just like southern Italy - near Bari). My favorite is the arugula and strawberry salad. The Pizza shop is small and an asset to the small business. The staff is growing in their customer relationship. The food is very good! read more

I work in Berwyn and we order a lot of pizza at work. We have tried a couple places (phils, Berwyn pizza), but they are sub par. We just tried spatolas and it was great. Various pizzas and salads and it was excellent! I can't believe I've lived in Paoli for five years and haven't tried Spatola's. I ordered for the first time tonight and omg the cheesesteak was frigging delicious. Decided to give another try despite the very long wait for delivery. I'm not going back. Ordered a Trenton style pizza. The menu description said fresh plum tomatoes. What you get is plum tomato sauce and a lot of it and very greasy. Not what I was expecting. The delivery guy was very nice which is the reason for the 2 stars. It also took over an hour for delivery when I live around the corner, but it was 6:30 on a Saturday. read more

Spatola's Pizza is (IMHO) the best pizza place on the mainline. The ratios are usually perfect (cheese - sauce - crust). However, order your pie well-done and it will be 1000x better. They have become our go-to place for quality pie in what has become a wasteland for pizza since Mario's was take over by new owners. They are usually pretty busy and the wait-time for pickup can be up to 45 minutes. Just call in your order a little ahead of time. Enjoy! I don't think you'll be disappointed. read more

Order is taking at this point almost an hour and a half to be delivered and they are located about 4 minutes from my house - and thats only if you get stopped at every light. We called when it hit an hour and 10 minutes and they said the order JUST went out... still waiting.
