In my opinion, as a pretty tough pizza critic, Anthony's is not only the best pizza in the area, but add the very good Italian and sandwich menu, plus a bar with TVs if you enjoy that option, makes it a top spot. Only non 5 star comment, bar drink service can be a little too casual at times, but very nice staff. read more

10/3/2025 I love Anthony's meatballs so much that I wanted to come back! Luckily my friend agreed to go and she's not an Italian food fan. I opted to get a meatball grinder. It was 15.50- and the restaurant added a 75 cent fee to bake it as a grinder which I thought was ridiculous. ****UPDATE-owner specified that is for cold sandwiches-i did not pay the check and the charge was not applied****Given the price of the sandwich I was disappointed in the size too. There were only two meatballs on the sandwich cut up. ****UPDATE**** owner thanked me for the picture and noticed the cook shorted me a whole meatball. He will address with the kitchen staff. Maybe I'm spoiled but where I live now you would've received a large sand which with at least 4-5 whole meatballs for several dollars cheaper. The value is not there for sandwiches in my opinion. I didn't have an issue with the flavor, rather the value. I got a side of pasta eith vodka sauce that I enjoyed a lot. The service started out very slow and we were wondering if we had been forgotten. Once our server approached we were well taken care of. We went for a late lunch and had a very good experience. It was our first time there and we had heard a lot of good things about the place. It has a nice big bar and quite a few tables. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. The menu was quite extensive. My wife had the eggplant rollatini and I had the veal parmigiana sandwich, oven baked. Delicious and well prepared. The wine was nice as well. The only short coming was the wedding soup which was just ok. Other than that it was a great experience and we will definitely go back for dinner read more

I have had dinner here twice since my last review and I continue to like coming here even with the service slip-ups or issues they continue to have. I enjoyed their veal parmigiana with a side of spaghetti and I almost wish I got more pasta than veal because the pasta is clearly homemade and cooked al dente. My dining partners enjoyed their lasagna and their Alfredo. These are things I don't typically make at home and enjoy on a night out and they do a good job with these items. My most recent visit was on a Monday. I made a reservation for about 5pm even though I figured it would be a slower night. When we got there, a good number of tables were full. By the time we left the place was packed. I left specific instructions regarding my reservation and it was obvious the hostess didn't read them. She did accommodate our request even though she admitted she had some egg on her face, so to speak. Generally, she had a RBF when dealing with other diners so my guess is this is a fill-in job for her. read more

This is a local family spot! They have recently renovated and the place is nice! We started off with the clams, bruschetta and the arancini. The arancini was definitely the best appetizer we got!!! The clams were good, nothing special. The bruschetta was a little Unser toasted/baked but the diced tomatoes were good, nothing crazy flavorful For the main we shared the red top pizza which was a thin crust square pizza that was so delicious!!! Just recently went here again for their winter menu and it's absolutely fantastic! I got the pomegranate spritz which was tart and sweet. We got the crab mushrooms and calamari which are always a crowd pleaser! From the winter menu we got the pork poutine and omg it was sooo good. I would have eaten that for my meal for sure! I got the seven fishes risotto. Huge portion with chunks of lobster, clams, mussels, calamari and shrimp. Risotto was cooked perfectly in a tomato based broth and it was so so good! We have lived in the area for 15 years so this is our go to for eat in and take out. We order several times each month and it never disappoints. The chicken cheesesteak is my favorite and the red top pie is beyond excellent. My sons love the chicken piccata and chicken parm. The salads are great too. Service is always perfect and friendly. They remodeled fairly recently and it looks beautiful. My only wish is that they'd bring back my favorite lunch, the turkey club. Five of us went to dinner since this is our friends' favorite restaurant. The food was excellent; chicken marsala, risotto, veggie pasta, etc. The service is another matter. We were very understanding but it damaged the atmosphere. After a glass of water spilled, we basically had to clean it up and had to ask for new napkins/silverware. Given that the portions are large we asked for containers they just left a stack of hot containers, no bags to carry 4-5 containers. We literally brought in bags from our car( unheard of!) When finished eating no offer of coffee or dessert... It was not enjoyable experience. read more

We love Anthony's! I have been going there since I was a kid. The homemade pasta is delicious, but if you get it for takeout be warned that it may not be al dente when you get it home (it continues to cook in their to-go containers). I think their pasta is best enjoyed at the restaurant. Pizza is also awesome. I don't think they get enough shout outs for their sandwiches - Italian hoagies and cheesesteaks are some of the best in Malvern. The house Italian dressing is a favorite - it's so good on their salads with their fresh Italian bread. Steamed clams are also a must - and get the extra dozen and save some bread to dip in the white wine garlic sauce! Last but not least and an absolutely favorite is the chicken pastina soup - get a quart to go, it's the best comfort soup around. read more

We love Anthony's as a local and convenient dinner option - for dining in or takeout. We dined at the restaurant last night with our adult kids, and had a great meal. The food is always delicious, and as a "foodie", I appreciate the fact that all of their pastas are made fresh in house. I also want to give a shoutout to our server, Amy, who was excellent and very attentive! There was a guitarist playing essentially at the front door, and because we were seated at a table immediately adjacent to the host stand, the volume of the amplifier made conversation a challenge. If the musician could be located on the far end of the bar near the television, it would be an improvement to the volume issues I'm raising. I do love the touch of acoustic music, but location in otherwise tight quarters makes a difference. The only oddity of the evening was the fact that the bottle of wine we ordered came to the table already opened and just set on the table. It's not a big deal, but if trying to up the game, waitstaff should know how to open and pour a bottle. Again, we love Anthony's and consider it a favorite - and the addition of the bar (with excellent cocktails) really makes this an entirely different experience from the Anthony's that was here when we moved to Malvern in 2008. read more

Tucked into the quaint borough of Malvern, this Italian spot is perfect for a night out or if you are picking up a few pies. This was the first time I have been since the recent renovations. The dining room is very clean and spacious with a dark moody Italian vibe. For a long time, Anthony's had been a BYOB joint. With the recent renovation, they have put in a high end bar, serving a wide variety of wines, beers, and specialty cocktails. We were celebrating a birthday, so I did not get many pictures of the food. I ordered a wedge salad which was delicious, followed up by a small pepperoni and cheese Stromboli. This thing was huge! Can't imagine what the large looks like. It was packed with flavor and oozing with cheese. Exactly what I was in the mood for. They also have a seasonal spring menu and a wide variety of delicious Italian plates that the rest of my table chose from The service was great and the food was delicious. To celebrate my grandmother's birthday, our extended family of 18 made a reservation for Anthony's. My grandfather set it up, so I'm not sure how far in advance he had to do this, but the space very easily accommodated our large party size. We are an Italian family, so we are tough critics for Italian Restaurants. I can confidently say that Anthony's delivered. The service was very attentive, which is a challenge with such a large party size. We constantly had water and drinks on the table. To eat, we started with a bunch of appetizers. Everything I tried was delicious! We got the Eggplant Rollatini, Caprese, Bruschetta, Stuffed Mushrooms, Calamari, and the Fig & Proscuitto Crostini. Everything was shared and no one had any complaints. My favorites were the Eggplant Rollatini and the Fig & Proscuitto Crostini. For dinner, I tried the Risotto Special with Chicken, Spinach, and Tomatoes. I'm not sure if it was the giant portion or all of the appetizers I had just eaten, but despite how delicious it was, I could not finish this dish. The chicken was well seasoned, there was lots of cheese, and the olive oil and white wine sauce was perfectly light (which helps with a heavy dish like Risotto). I brought some home and had it for lunch the next day! We had been to Anthony's a few times in the past, but it has clearly been a while because the interior space is entirely different from what I remember. Had an excellent experience here last night. The antipasto salad was a great start and my wife and I loved our lasagna, spaghetti , meatballs and sausage. I know not adventurous and I usually don't order lasagna out because my wife's is so good, but both that and the meatballs were some of the best I've had. Our server Lacey was absolutely terrific with a great personality. Afterwards we had the pleasure of meeting the owner while we grabbed an after dinner lemoncello at the bar. Best pizza in the area! When getting takeout however it is not always hot. The restaurant is fantastic. The food cannot be beat. Service can be slow at times, but getting there early helps. Dinner can be fairly expensive, but compared to other nearby restaurants by far the food is better. The eggplant parm is amazing. The cheese ravioli is to die for. Parking fills up early. There is parking out back but it's a bit of a walk from there to the restaurant if you have mobility issues. Staff is very attentive to patrons with disabilities which is truly a breath of fresh air. Friend liked Scallops Risotto very much. Chicken Cacciatore sauce was too sweet, also contained a flavor I did not like. So I exchanged Chicken Cacciatore for Scallops Risotto, which was very good. I love having the margherita pizza with some olive oil drizzled on top along with some Parmesan cheese, DELISH!!! The yummy earthiness of the olive oil compliments their margherita pizza really well. I work a few minutes away from Anthony's and I am so happy I do. We have ordered pizza from there a few times at work and it is great. The cheese has a nice cheesy, semi sharp flavor that you can tell is authentic. I ordered take out from here last week and decided to try one of their pasta dishes. They make their own pasta in house which is surprisingly hard to find around here! It was perfect. The angel hair was a little wider than most people are probably used to (which is normal with homemades), but it is so delicate and light. I went with the create your own pasta option. I got angel hair in garlic and oil with grilled chicken. First of all the portion they give you is SO generous. I feel like some places I've ordered from lately they cut back on portions due to supply issues, but when you make your own pasta I guess you don't have to worry about that! I had to work a 14 hour shift that day and was able to have a ton for lunch AND dinner. In my opinion some of the most delicious meals are those of simplicity, and this was a perfect example. There were actual pieces of roasted caramelized garlic in the pasta and the chicken was so tender and not the least bit chewy or overcooked. I'm angry I didn't take a more flattering picture of this dish, but the second I smelled it I had to dive in. Service was super friendly upon ordering and pick up.
