MAJOR FAIL! I called for a custom build, talked with Kowan,…read moreexplained I wanted to shop local and keep business in the community. Went in to see him to confirm, he said they could clone my existing drive to the one they're building. Offered a cloned drive I made for backup. Said to preserve drive D partition above all else as it had necessary work files. He accepted it. Heard nothing. Then heard they waited for parts. Said I'd be gone for a week+, gave them a date I'd be back. Wasn't ready. Told they were having trouble with drivers and updates. Again explained to preserve drive D partition above all else. I could install software, but D had all my work files. Called again. Still issues. Two weeks+ go by. Finally am told they have the machine ready but Oops! They reformatted the my entire drive. You mean the drive you were going to clone from? The one I called several times and repeatedly said to preserve drive D above all else? Yes, that one. Got to the store and, oh, my gosh, nobody knows nothing. Kowan claims he just took the order, didn't do any work on it, yet every time I called somebody else was working on it, including Bill, their top tech guy, who admitted yeah, they made a mistake. A MISTAKE? Nobody kept notes? You didn't call to confirm what I wanted when you didn't have notes from the last person to work on it? You didn't have the customer's original work order to build from? You just passed the machine around and slapped things in but nobody kept notes on what was suppose to be done? Final tech to touch it knows nothing. Said "I was just given a drive. I didn't know I wasn't suppose to use it." Worse, they said I could bring in my working system and they'd clone it to the new build. WHAT? I'm going to trust the cabbage patch crew with a working machine with necessary files on it? Worst, they didn't make any attempt at making things better other than the above offer (which I couldn't trust them to do at this point). Just refunded my money, and I had to ask for my now worthless disk back. I'm sitting here shaking my head as I write this. I rarely find this level of incompetence in a business. STAY AWAY! FOLLOW UP TO BRIAN G'S RESPONSE: Sorry, no, I never gave verbal approval to wipe and reload. I gave approval to put in a new drive and copy over what could be copied over. If apps could be copied, great, and preserving the data on D was paramount. Nice rebuttal on your part, but also inaccurate on your part: I contacted Showtime several times for updates, Showtime never reached out to me with questions or concerns. At one point I was informed there was a problem with the drivers, but I never gave verbal approval to wipe and reload the drive I brought in. This is another example of a communications failure on the techs' part. Combine that with the techs passing the buck attitude when I went in to find out what happened and this remains a MAJOR FAIL!

I explained how frustrating it has been sitting around waiting for a call that clearly wasn't coming and he apologized & told me he'd be in tomorrow , & he would make sure I get a call and update as soon as they have an update & know if the phone is able to be fixed. Initial experience with this place was 1 but this guy just redeemed it to get to 3 . Hopefully it will be 4 in the end x I won't be giving 5 unless the first guy I spoke to calls an apologies

Panic set…read morein, I reached out to family college student (UNH) whose peers had success with CPR Portsmouth. I went to the Nashua store, concerned not about the 30 dollar connector but CPR cracking the screen during the very invasive screen removal process to get at the connector, plus I didn't want to share my passcode. They accommodated both, guaranteeing if they broke screen, they make me whole. After the repair and in-store, I entered my passcode for them to check and they determined the far right side icon movement was intermittent. They replaced the screen entirely and I was a happy camper when I finally picked it up. They honored their commitment and I'd definitely return.

Granted it was a quick check and I asked them specifically to look at one component but it still says a lot about the type of operation they run at Microtime Computers. Most recently I screwed up the installation of a graphics card and I thought I fried my PSU in the process so I brought my system in and they tested it for me. Sure enough, I killed the PSU. I asked what my options were/if they thought I killed other components and the guy told me it was possible that I did but it would be $90 to take a close look. He recommended I buy a new PSU, plug everything up and hope for the best considering I would need a new PSU regardless. If I was having troubles he told me to bring it in first thing Monday and they'd evaluate the whole situation for me. I got lucky and everything survived, system started right up with a new PSU. They could've charged me the $90 and then told me all I needed was the PSU but they didn't do that. I'll be back whenever I have an issue I can't deal with by myself.

They have always been incredibly responsive, extremely professional and wonderfully customer-oriented. And they are really nice guys! Steve and Max are great at explaining things in a way and language that a non-techy person like me can understand, while guiding me in making good long-term choices for my business. They find answers to problems and needs while keeping my budget in mind. Over the years I've referred at least 6 other business clients to them, all of whom are happy with their services. My employees also use them for home computer and network issues. Microtime works with me as a true partnership and I can't imagine my company without them.

Our printer stopped working after 1 month-after several messages to him, he told us it was a piece of junk-so why did he sell it to us? Constantly calling, and when I do get him, he gets very defensive and belligerent, acting as if issues are my fault. He hasn't returned my last two calls so we've given up calling him. He is insistent that icons are on my computer that just aren't there, and gets upset with me when I try to explain they're not. We've wasted well over $1200 on a computer, printer, and repairs. When I mention his name at Staples, I was told he was a quack. Really regret dealing with him. Do NOT recommend.

There was no discussion of charges for the discussion. Neither did he ask me for contact information such as an address. A couple of days later, the mail brought a bill from him for his time. He added no value and did not pretend to. The transaction fails the basic business principles of being forthcoming and above board.
