I will sum it up to its food. Nothing fancy spectacular or anything to rave about. The elote corn is flavorless needs pepper, salt and tastes like canned corn. The cashier raved about nothing comes out of bags and is heated like other local places but the Mac and Cheese was like boiled noodles with velveeta cheese and some crispy onions on top. The Brisket was tough, dry sliced too thick and over cooked. The redeeming factor was of all things was the Tri Tip was tender at least. read more

I really wanted to like this place. Truly, I did. I had called Badlands BBQ the Wednesday before Father's Day to place a catering order for that coming Saturday night, and they told me they weren't taking any more orders for that night. I was upset, because the people I had coming over really liked that place. I decided to turn to Google to find an alternative, and came up with Speakeasy. The plan was to like Speakeasy better, and give Badlands the boot for not taking my order. Nope. I had scheduled to pick up my Speakeasy order at 5pm on Saturday, and when I got there at 5:02, it wasn't ready. I waited, and waited, and waited... Watched the employees roam around drinking drinks and joking around with each other for 30 minutes. Finally, the owner/manager (?) came over and asked me if I was still waiting, and I said, "yes." She went to see what was going on, and at 5:40 it seemed I was finally ready to leave with my food. I checked the bag, and noticed the pudding dessert that was supposed to come with my order wasn't there, so I asked the young girl who was bagging it about that. The owner/manager (?) heard me, and asked if she could check my order for me, to which I agreed. Thank goodness she did, because as it had turned out, they had run out of pulled pork, and rather than let me know that, they were going to send me on my way with extra brisket, and never tell me about the pork, and I wouldn't have known until I got home. That was a bummer, because I only eat lean meats, and can't eat anything spicy (eliminates the brisket and hot links), so that pork was supposed to be my dinner, along with one of my guests, who has the same preference for lean meat. The owner apologized several times about waiting so long, and not being told about the pork, and she was very, very nice about it. She asked me to write down my address so she could send me a gift card for my trouble, which I never received (it's been a month). I paid almost $200 for a meal that nobody really ate. The brisket was super duper fatty and disgusting - we threw most of it away. It was a complete waste of money. The fact that I wasn't refunded for the pulled pork is bothering me, so I'll file a chargeback, since I never received the gift card. I'll also chargeback the 20% tip I gave them on the order for the horrible service. Badlands made me upset, but I will definitely go there before I ever come to this place again. read more

Staff was nice. Food was nothing spectacular. Had the 1/4 lb brisket. Lots of fat left on the meat and when you pay by the lb. kinda bummed out for paying for fat. Also, potato salad was really bland. Had to add BBQ sauce to make it taste better. Speaking of BBQ sauce , it was really good but i think it was sweet baby rays since they had a bunch of there bottles on the wall. May or may not come back. read more

This place is AMAZING. I always like to get the pulled pork sandwich but all of the meat is incredible. I LOVE how they leave the BBQ sauce up to you. Had been wanting to try here for a long time and finally got a day off work. My family and I got dinner there and it was an overall 10/10 experience. Staff was nice and friendly, food was absolutely great, and the atmosphere was perfect. In the background they had great music playing. This place is great for all ages, whether you're young, old, with your family and kids or not. Everyone is friendly and the food is great. My family and I have found a new favorite in town and we will definitely be coming back in the future. read more

I was ordering from here when they were just able to do pre-order 3 days a week, then pickup on site. Finally this last Friday my daughter and I stopped by while doing errands and ate in the restaurant. I have never been disappointed and once again the food, service, and people were excellent. I was looking to get their Dino bone beef rib but their supplier was not able to fill the order so I went with the brisket sandwich. It was all I could ask for as it was juicy and flavorful with that melt in your mouth goodness. My daughter had the chicken with Mac and cheese and we shared a peach cobbler. Planning on another visit next weekend and I'm bringing guests to sample the great food. read more

Came here for the first time with a party of 4, was greeted warmly by a man whom I assumed was owner/manager (wearing cowboy hat). A newer employee in training explained the menu to us and since we were open to trying a variety, we ordered the Holy Trinity family platter ($75): ribs, brisket, hot links and added chicken ($15). I don't think the quantity of meat is matched the price on the menu. Expensive for what you get with this platter so you might be better off ordering something else instead. The ribs and brisket were tender and had good taste (I like that it's not overly smoky), but the temperature of the meat and the sides were all warm at best. Would like to see more variety of sides options. Went with the coleslaw (good) and Mac n cheese (so-so)...it was strange they had combined 2 different kinds of Mac in the container- put the fancy spiral noodle Mac on the top with breadcrumbs but when you got halfway down in the container all of a sudden it was different elbow Mac and it was cold temp. The banana pudding dessert tasted artificial- not good. Atmosphere was ok- good music on the jukebox and live music on Thursday. Great customer service, had a little mix up with our order..but they definitely made up for it ( without us complaining) we ordered the holy trinity (?) with potato salad, mac n cheese, and mexican street corn. They threw in peach cobbler. The food was excellent..peach cobbler was the best I ever had.. not too sweet..and the banana pudding was top notch. Thank you guys! Bbq pork ribs full rack for $32 a person would expect greatness right? How is this place still in business. Half the rack was not even edible. Seriously salty and dried out, and not like beef Jerry which is dried out, but you could still eat it. I'm talking dried out, but like hatsh tree bark with no meat flavor at all! Literally, I had to cut a quarter off of the slab, off and throw it away. The other half was super dry and salty from being over cooked. It was a $95 carry out order, so I guess they thought it was OK to dump this $32 over cooked piece of meat on me, so they don't have a loss. I was too far away to bring it back. It should have gone in the garbage, and not in my carry out order. I don't care if this is a small run family business. I gottah feed my family too with my hard earned money. Mac and cheese was the same as Velveeta style shells and cheese. Clearly not baked. Way over priced Mac and cheese for that garbage. Everything is pretty overpriced for how underwhelming this place is. I can't figure out why it has such high ratings. Also I heard a lady grumbling about buying a $30 localflavor or groupon voucher, and even though she spent $35, the kid at the counter told her she had to buy an additional $5 side order for her to use it. He argued with her, until she bought the $5 side, but stormed out saying never again. I don't use these coupons from localflavor or Groupon, so be careful if you do, and go to this place. I recently noticed this little BBQ place in Norco. Decided to try the Quatro dinner since it gives a taste of all meats and sides, including banana pudding! First of all, like many other reviews have mentioned, the warm and personable owners are very attentive, friendly, and helpful. Very good vibes! As for the food, it was delicious! The ribs, pulled pork, and spicy sausage were my favorites. The brisket was really good but some inconsistency between the slices - some a little tough/dry and others delicious, juicy, and a little fatty! The chicken was pretty overcooked, sadly.... Oh, and the sides! Coleslaw - yum! Beans, mac and cheese, STREET (not sweet) corn all really really good. I loved the street corn actually. Potato salad was good. My husband said the banana pudding was tasty. I will definitely be back to support this family-owned business with owners who deserve our support! read more
