Was in the area about 90 minutes away from home and decided to stop by this spot! Come to find out it was their 4 year anniversary and had a band outside with food! It was so much fun. The beer is great and the workers are all very friendly too. This is definitely a locals spot where everyone knows each other. I still felt welcome. My only complaint would be that there's only one bathroom available! So when it's busy and you're drinking, you will be waiting to use it. read more

Visited Grey Wolf Brewing Co on a whim after work. I found it through Yelp as it is located close to my hotel. I came in early on a Wednesday afternoon so there was only one patron. It was nice to have quiet while I drank. Chad, owner and head brewmaster, was extremely helpful and friendly. I informed him that I wasn't a huge beer drinker so he allowed me to sample a bunch of different beers so I can find one that I liked. After sampling three beers, I ended up with # 8 Sandi Blonde which is a Blonde / Golden Ale. It was easy to drink; nice and smooth. After drinking half, I had a good buzz going. I was able to sample two additional selections. I found another one that I really liked. It was the Bloody Hammer, an off the menu mix of two beers - # 12 Tartarus Warhammer and # 16 Bloodberry Berliner. I had already ordered the Sandi Blonde so I stuck with that. However, after I finished the first one, I ended up getting the Bloody Hammer. Ask for the Bloody Hammer with a tianjin rim. I was happy with both. After almost two hours, I ordered a pizza from the pizza guy stationed out front of the tasting room because if I didn't eat something, I would be lit beyond belief. They had a Touch Tunes jukebox so I was able to play all of the music I wanted to hear in peace without another person's music interrupting my selections. After 6:30 pm, the people really started coming in so my earbuds went into my ears as I couldn't hear over the chatter of people chit chatting. The interior of the tasting room is small with three tables of six, six tables of four and a small "bar" area with three stools inside the tasting room. It is very clean and full of light with high ceilings to allow the sunlight to stream in from the outside. On Wednesdays, there is "pour house" trivia night at 7 pm. I stuck around to see how it went. The questions are hard. I had a good time. One thing I wish they had is a pool table. They do have a handful of board games if you want to play with your friends. I had a great experience and could see returning on a regular basis to Great Wolf if I lived in the area. read more

Stopped in last night to take advantage of a Yelp Elite Perk celebrating Oktoberfest 2020 with participating local breweries. GreyWolf Brewing (@greywolfbrewing) was kind enough to open their doors for a pick up perk. The gentleman working was super friendly and provided a lot of info about the various beers they sold. Not only did I pick up my Yelp Perk goodie bag and a free can of Das Festbier (similar to what's sold at Oktoberfest in Munich), but I bought four more cans: a Norco Lager, a German Hefeweizen, a Sandy Blonde, and a Red Ale, to try out at home with my wife. Located in a small business park, the brewery was easy to find and offered plenty of parking. They have a pretty large selection of beers...you should definitely give them a try. I went to the Yelp event here and got to try a few of the IPAs which were delicious. I loved the "make IPA rye again" which was very smooth, after enjoying the Hop Wolf for a more hoppy adventure. The Loki hazy ipa was delicious as well. Seriously hard to decide which ipa I liked best! Getting there: This brewery is located right off the 15 fwy. The lot has limited parking for a crowded day but I believe there is parking around back. Experience: You can tell that Chad's passion is brewing great beer. He's always coming up with different things to infuse in the beers and they come out fantastic. I need some more of the coffee and raspberry infused beers. He cans his beers as well so you could enjoy a four pack of your favorites at home, or anywhere. Kudos to CM of IE, @Myelsha D for organizing this YEP together for us Elites in the area. Even though Norco, CA. was a tad of a drive, who doesn't wanna get onto the Spirit of Oktoberfest?! A bit of the Pandemic doesn't stop me from driving to this Brewery checking the venue out. All you need to do is inserting venue address onto your GPS and it'll take you there. When I arrived, there weren't any other Elites I witnessed so it was just me and the Owner whose name I sadly didn't catch. I was asking some questions and learned that GreyWolf will host a Maine Lobster Food Truck on Halloween Day/2020. Now this got my attention because I'm a sucker for delish lobster! Also, fabulous job at making a Yelp swag bag for all of us Elites attending this event: it was mighty creative of @CM of IE, Mylesha D. Looking forward to the next YEP! read more

I cannot tell you how great my experience was at GreyWolf Brewing! I have been very hesitant to go anywhere recently, and I've been really wanting to support local brewers and local businesses. I heard about GreyWolf from Yelp, and it is a business that opened only 5 weeks before the stay at home orders--I'm so glad I decided to check it out and that it has made it through this tough season! When you walked in, they were prepared with hand sanitizer for all guests, and they had prepared their front of house to accommodate people in an orderly manner. They had 4 packs and single cans already prepared for most of their beers (and even one no longer on tap!), so it was easy to find what you wanted to buy and get it to-go if that was your idea. But, my favorite aspect of the trip has to be Chad--the owner. He was at the front and was willing to spend time with me, helping me choose the variety of beers that I ended up taking with me. He explained what a couple of the different beers were, including Das Festbier, Schwarzbier, and Oatmeal Pale Ale--all of which I had never heard of! So, of course I picked up all of those...JUST FYI, Oatmeal Pale Ale has nothing to do with an Oatmeal Stout. Chad let me in the know that actually the oatmeal makes this Pale Ale smoother, without imparting the taste and heaviness like people think of in that other Oatmeal beer!--don't be deterred when you see Oatmeal in the title of a beer, people! I also picked up his Belgian Tripel (the award-winning Tartarus Warhammer), the Hazy 1.1 (IPA), the Red Ale 1.0, and the Hop Wolf West Coast IPA. I'm super excited to try all of these when I can find the time--I have already tried the Das Festbier (super drinkable and just a tiny bit of that delicious Oktoberfest bitterness!) and the Hazy 1.1 (super unique and Chad told me I may never try another hazy like this!), and both of them knocked it out of the park (and I may have tried them on the night that the Dodgers won the World Series in 2020...so forgive my baseball lingo). Overall, I am so happy that I happened upon this brewery, and I plan to go back very soon. While the website does not have ordering capabilities, Chad said he takes phone orders or take out from the showroom. His website is equipped with a subscription to Untappd (great beer resource and app) that updates everything that he has on tap--so be sure to check that out to see what he's got going whatever day you want to visit!
