Long version: I ordered a French Press coffee and it was the best coffee I've had since leaving Texas four days ago. Bold yet smooth, the house blend was impressive. Crispy pork belly tacos for me and biscuits & gravy for the Hubs. We were both very happy to have passed up the free breakfast at the hotel. Pork belly tacos. Fluffy eggs, scallions, and shredded pork belly topped with a salsa rojo and creme-fresh. I've gotta figure this one out at home. I ordered the breakfast tacos for my mom and a bowl of oatmeal for myself. One of the tacos was only partially filled. I saw a few people who ordered tacos before me, so I know what I expected to receive. It appeared that they ran out of chorizo and eggs, but I doubt that's what happened. This taco had a bit of egg with a scoop of chorizo. I took the order back to the counter and was told that they all have the same amount and that she could "spread it around" if I wanted her to. This is the "normal" amount. I simply said, No, that's ok. I walked back to the table. By the way, I never got my oatmeal. I had reminded/requested them when they brought the tacos to the table. She said I hadn't been charged for the oatmeal, so I needed to come to the counter and pay. No problem. So, as they are preparing the oatmeal, she yells across the restaurant (I'm at the table) and asks if I still wanted the oatmeal!? I said, no that's ok. So, she told them to cancel the oatmeal. Maybe if it was only a few people in the restaurant, it wouldn't seem so unprofessional? Yelling across the room just didn't seem appropriate. I didn't even eat the taco because I was so offended that I wanted to leave. I literally drove in because I wanted my mom to try this restaurant. I had previously made videos and posted to my IG and Snapchat about this being a nice place to eat. Sadly, I didn't receive the same quality service and won't be back. Disappointing visit for a place with such potential. Staff was extremely rude after we inquired about our to go coffee order after we had been there almost 30 minutes. They take call in orders and don't prioritize the in person customers. it shouldn't take 30 minutes for two lattes even on a busy Saturday. Won't be going there again, mainly because of how badly the staff treated us more so than the excessively long wait. read more

I met some friends at Speakeasy this morning. I had the Carmel Latte. It was very good. I also got a bowl of oatmeal that was topped with brown sugar & fruit. It was a huge bowl and was tasty. The decor was nice. It wasn't very busy while we were there so it was quiet. I saw the hours are only til 3 pm which is a shame b/c I would think they would do well if they were open a little later. There aren't many local establishments in this area to grab a good coffee other than that big chain that's everywhere. First of all....Kyoto cold brew is just insanely good! Wow! I never expected to come across a coffee brewing technique i'd never heard of driving through a small town in Arkansas. We also tried the salmon club sandwich and it was delicious! The only thing I recommend is getting the mayo on the side. It was a little too much for my liking. Get the cold brew and get it black!
