If you're here for the short read, yes I recommend! It's perfect for a date night, special occasion, or get together with friends and/or family. If you want to know more, keep reading! Speakeasy Candle Co. offers a variety of scented plant-based, wood-wick candles inspired by cocktails. A few sizes are available for purchase, or you can pour your own candle with a selection of scents. They are located at the UnCommons in Southwest Las Vegas across from the Durango Casino. There is a workshop with cocktails included and a workshop with no cocktails included. They also recently posted on their Instagram that they are or have opened a walk-in and pour option. I believe we paid $85/person for the cocktail workshop, but there is also a $65/person option with no cocktail included. Parking garages are available and if you park for 2 hours or less, parking is free. There is modern/trendy decor inside and the workshop room opens through a hidden door, on theme! The room is dimly lit and beautifully decorated. You'll be provided with safety goggles and an apron. Make sure to plan ahead so you and your group or partner can sit together. Seating is reserved. Staff is friendly and helpful. Instructions are easy to follow and you get to test your sense of smell along the way. You leave your candle to cool and then pick it up on the date discussed in class. They will send you a reminder text just in case you forget. Overall, it was a fun experience! We did this as part of our Alphabet Date plan for letter C. I recommend, and hope others enjoy the experience as much as we did. It's a wonderful memory to have.

My wife and I went to this experience today, for our anniversary and we loved it. The presentation and facility were beautiful. We loved the hidden door, the theme, and the experience. All staff were amazing and made the experience that much better. We even got a great recommendation on a gin drink :) We will definitely be going back to make more candles. Thank you for making this experience so much fun.

Unique, fun experience and idea! So cute for dates, group gatherings and or corporate events! Smooth, calming music plays as you experience the step by step instructions on candle making! You choose your favorite candle jar, and embark upon a fun "scent fil" experience choosing and rating your favorite s ents, revealing what your TRUE senses reveal. Very cute instructor guided experience! Pricing varies however is a great price for this unique and amazing experience! I've gone on two occasions and will return! Ask for Mykala!! She's super helpful, cute and a wonderful instructor!!

Speakeasy Candle Co exceeded all expectations for a memorable end-of-the-year date night with my girlfriend. The vibes and ambiance were nothing short of fantastic - a perfect blend of charm and uniqueness. The dim lighting and carefully curated atmosphere set the stage for an intimate and enjoyable evening. The service at Speakeasy Candle Co was impeccable. Our host was not only welcoming but also incredibly fun and interactive. Their attention to detail and commitment to creating a positive experience added an extra layer of enjoyment to our visit. Despite being in the minority as a guy in a mainly women-centric setting, the experience was still thoroughly enjoyable. The inclusive and lively atmosphere made it clear that everyone was there to have a good time, regardless of gender. It was a refreshing and unique experience, something I hadn't encountered before. I highly recommend Speakeasy Candle Co for anyone looking to spice up their date night with a touch of novelty and excitement. The combination of great vibes, attentive service, and an overall enjoyable experience makes it an ideal spot for a fun date with your significant other. We had a blast and will undoubtedly be returning for more memorable evenings in the future. Great value for the money since you also get an amazing smelling candle!

We did a double date and it was so cute! They explain every step of the way with detail, the scents smelled good and you get to quiz your smell. They were very attentive in service and offered 6 scents to choose from. You get a ticket to pick up your candle at a later date, I recommend checking out!

First time making candles and we all had blast. This was our first time at this location and let me tell you it's absolutely beautiful. We received amazing service from the owner she was extremely sweet and friendly. Service was great. Amazing scents pricing was fair for the experience we will definitely attend other candle making class very soon.

Candles + booze = Sweet scents! This is such a cute, unique, and FUN concept! The front is a sleek, chic candle shop and behind the hidden door, you are taken to the speakeasy where the candle making magic happens! It is complete with a wax bar (for all your candle pouring needs) and everything you need for candle making. The Bright Notes: 1. Be a chandler for a day! It is a no fuss, no mess type of project! They provide everything you need down to hand sanitizer wipes! There is a fun activity too where you kind of play a scent game! Does the nose know?No spoilers here. ;) 2. Support local, small businesses! This is a family affair and the owner's passion shines through! The owner, Alisha, guides you through the neat candle making experience where you will be laughing, sipping on some bubbly bubbly, and getting LIT on all the scents! 3. Perfect for a gift, date activity, or activity with friends/family! Create a memory that will "glow" in your mind! haha! Gift certificates are available for purchase. 4. The packaging and branding of everything screams classy!!! They have a variety of candle scents (not all cocktail related scents) and catch the seasonal ones while they last! On the Dim Side: One thing that can be improved on is the candle pick-up process. You are given a ticket and you write your name on a sheet of paper that goes on your candle. About a week later, you go back to pick-up your candle. However, my sister's candle was nowhere to be found. Alisha was kind and sent her a new candle with the same scent. Hopefully they will get the pick-up process ironed out so people can pick-up the candle they made. All in all, Speakeasy Candle is an easy choice for candle making and if you want to treat yourself to some good scents!!! Shine bright, Speakeasy!

Need a unique date night idea or fun girls outing? This is definitely the spot if so! Speakeasy Candle Co. is located just south of I-215 & east off of Durango. There's a lot of road construction (lane closures) out that way right now, so it's not easy getting into the little shopping area without fearlessly cutting off oncoming traffic. I'm not super familiar with this area of town, so I'm not sure if (you're coming from 215 or from the north) to take another exit and then approach the side street heading north?? The parking situation is also a tad annoying, as the garage has a max of 2 hours free--and it'll likely take more than 2 hours to make a candle (at a leisurely pace)--and on-street parking is not free and/or is limited to 30 minutes. It would be much more preferable to me if as part of the class (and standard cost) parking slips could get validated for free parking. Once you get to the shop, you'll definitely appreciate its aesthetics along with the friendly staff! There's candles galore, and the organized layout of them promotes a feeling of serenity. Then, there's this one wall that seems a tad...odd...towards the right side of the shop. And this wall is indeed odd...because it's secretly a door that opens to a cozy-sized room with tables and barstools, cocktail bar, photo/selfie wall (love!), and shelves of candle-making supplies!!! If you're like me and have never made a candle before, you'll really appreciate how the shop proprietor, Alisha, and her husband have structured the classes. They walk you through the entire process, step-by-step, in a manner that keeps you engaged and entertained. It was so fun being able to learn various aspects of candle-making, sipping champagne, and eventually pouring our candles! What were less-than-stellar aspects of my experience are, first, that the candle scent options were relatively limited and without opportunity to branch outside of the predefined options, and also that there weren't very many container colors to choose from. However, this may have simply been due to the size of our group--so, I don't consider these two things to be of much consequence. (Important Note: You have to wait to bring your candle home since the wax has to cool; so, this is probably not the activity for you if you're not a local or if you're not able to remain in Las Vegas for a few extra days and/or return to the store to pick up your candle.) All things considered, this is still an incredible Black, woman-owned business!!! I would absolutely recommend signing up for a class if you're looking for a fun activity that breaks the mold of typical things to do in Las Vegas.

Went here on a double date and it was fun the staff is super friendly and very helpful and the place has a really cute ambiance and atmosphere. We were hoping to have a fun and creative night. On their website just pouring candles is $45 and then cocktails and pour is $65 what we didn't know is that drinks were not included in the $65 we paid. So what is the extra $20 for if not for cocktails?? We definitely came in there thinking we'd at least get 1 free cocktail since we paid extra but that was not the case. Ultimately it was fun being able to choose what scent for your candle I just wish it was a little more immersive, to make it more worth the $65 plus extra for drinks. Maybe being able to make the drink we are smelling which could be the free drink.

Absolutely - and I mean - ABSOLUTELY adore this place!! I stumbled upon it while at the Uncommons (which is filled with cute places to grab a bite or drink. The store front is super low key, welcoming and cozy! You can smell their various candles which are neatly tucked under glass containers to preserve their scents. The owner was incredibly helpful in helping me discover which ones I liked best. I opted for a trio of the smaller size to burn and see which one I liked best. Admittedly it was hard to decide and I know I'll be ordering more. I also purchased a full size for a family member that is local to the area. I learned that you can bring the glass back and get a 50% off a refill. After talking with the owner for a while, she reveal the hidden space tucked carefully in the back where they offer candle pouring and cocktail workshops in a speakeasy-like setting. It's perfect for small group events and even a fun weekend activity. As an avid candle lover, who appreciates a quality craft cocktail - this place and concept was a 10/10 for me. Looking forward to returning!!

Stumbled across Speakeasy Candle while walking around Uncommons. This is a REALLY cute female and family owned small business. Following the theme of "speakeasy" the candle scents are cocktail inspired. You'll find scents like Hemingway Daiquiri, Old Fashioned, and Rose. They all smell amazing and all candles are made onsite. I went back the other day for a candle making class and it was such a unique and fun experience. There is a small passage way in the shop that takes you to the back workshop area. We were welcomed with champagne. The owners hosted the class and they were kind, helpful, and fun the entire class. This would be a great event to do for date night or girls night. Will be going back for some Christmas gift shopping!

So fun, the best activity to bring a friend to. Candle making session is a little short, but still a great experience nonetheless. Would definitely go back

Are you looking for something different to do? Off the Strip? Need a fun date idea? Girls night out ? THIS IS THE PLACE! Speakeasy candle is a speakeasy where you can create your own candle based on popular cocktails. They have these candles workshops on Friday and Saturday nights, and they're seriously so much fun! Tickets around $85 and can be purchased online, everything is included. Each workshop is about 1.5-2 hours. While you are creating your candle they also serve you 2 cocktails. The cocktail and candle menu do change, and they do offer seasonal options as well. Overall, such a fun workshop! Highly recommend!

We got there early on Saturday to arrive to an extremely hot building, their ac had gone out. I was under the impression I had already paid for the event so we decided to stay and try to tough it out. They informed us they had water but didn't have cups, there is literally a restaurant next door that I would have asked them for some cups to help out my guest but the owner didn't think it was important to go get cups to provide for us in that heat! The class was pretty disorganized and all over the place. Everyone had too much down time with not much to keep us busy. I didn't ask why but they make us leave the candles and come get them the next day. They told us they would be there no problem and if we wanted we could even come Monday to get them. They were not there when we came Sunday and come to find out they're also closed on Monday & Tuesdays. I then came by Wednesday and to my surprise they were closed again. There was a sign on the door saying they closed early and would see us Wednesday- which it was. To help you understand, they also had us leave our names and phone numbers with our candles. With this being some people's presents they were making to give to their mom for Mother's Day, that definitely would not have been able to do so. And this was the experience I got for my mom to enjoy all week. You think they would at least call everyone and let us know when they were planning to open again so we could retrieve the candles we had already paid for. Which after the class they made us pay full price not even offering a discount for the inconvenience. We finally got ahold of someone on Friday and let them know we were headed to get the candles, she said awesome, I'll have them ready for you. And made excuses for why they hadn't been open. Said they decided to remain closed to get the air fixed. (Which, like I said, they should have called) We arrived, the air was still broken, and the candles were not ready. She never once apologized. Very unprofessional. Save your time and money.

The class was super fun, you're allowed to sniff through a variety of scents, and the host of the class was bright and fun and super personable. It was fun sniffing our way through the scents to create our perfect candle. The actual making of the candle after choosing our scents was super easy as well. After the candle class, we also just enjoyed walking around and sniffing through all of the store's candles on offer, and my friends bought a variety of room sprays, incense, and more. The experience was $55 per person, which is pretty good for getting to make two candles of your own. I highly recommend getting a few friends together and having a nice afternoon out making candles!

It was really hard to make a selection because so many of the candles had such lovely scents. The candle is in a mason type jar, and great thought was given to presentation. The swirling pattern of the candle as it was poured is one of the nice features. The labels are fun with a whimsical font and craft paper. The neck of the jar has a nice ribbon tied around it and what I thought was an especially unique touch was the dab of wax on the lid which shows the colors of the candle and has been stamped with the company initials. The candle itself went into a drawstring organza type bag and this was then inserted into a nice small black paper bag with handles. All in all I was hesitant to even open it and I haven't in fact used it yet because I wanna save it for giftgiving it's that pretty. She had a variety of options including three wick candles with embedded flowers in a tray type dish as well as a great deal on a diffuser with essential oils. Jackey was patient while I made my selection and very helpful, providing information on how many hours you could expect a particular candle to burn etc. All this being said I have not yet lit this candle, which is a soy blend, but if the packaging is anything to go by, I'm sure I'm going to be quite happy. I also plan to purchase a couple of these as on hand gifts because truly most people like candles. Should I burn this candle and find that the scent is too weak or are there any other issues I will be sure to update my review. In the meantime I would definitely recommend seeking out their stall at the Summerlin farmers market on Saturday mornings
