It's been a very long time since I've been in a Hallmark and I'm so glad I went! I was greeted pretty much when I walked in by the friendliest woman. It was before Easter and she told me about a couple of items and said to ask if I needed any help. It was earlier in the day and only a few other people shopping. The store has so much to check out and all the displays are colorful and makes you want to browse. I found a couple plushies that were cute and some cards of course. I would have loved to browse even longer but I had an appointment. When I went to pay, the same woman asked me if I had a Hallmark Rewards account, I told her I think I did but it has been a very long time since I would have used it. She tried to find me but didn't so she signed me up. She pleasantly explained their rewards program and I got to pick out a cute mini card. I wish I remembered the woman's name. She was the perfect example of great customer service! Since I signed up I have received emails for a free card and other discounts. I'm definitely glad I went back and look forward to shopping more at Hallmark! read more

The staff here is incredibly friendly and eager to assist. They boast the finest selection of cards in the area, along with delightful candies and unique gifts. There's truly something for everyone! OMG, this store is super dangerous if you're like me who loves pretty things like cards, wrapping party, gifts etc. They have so many beautiful items here like those mentioned and themed priduxts like Halloween and Christmas decorations. You can spend ages here just walking through their extensive aisles and finding things to buy for yourself or as gifts. The staff are also lovely and helpful and it made for a very fun visit. I'm a long-standing fan of Hallmark cards (when you care enough to send the very best), and this store is a great place to get them. It's conveniently located in a large shopping center along with plenty of other stores like Best Buy and Walmart. The inside is quite large - bigger than the Hallmark stores you'll see inside malls at times. The selection of cards is huge and available for every occasion. They have assorted gift items, wrap, tags, ribbon, chocolates, and of course the famous keepsake Christmas ornaments. Staff are consistently very friendly and helpful. Be sure to join the Hallmark rewards program as it's fairly easy to quickly accrue points toward rewards. Also, be sure to get the complimentary gold crown seals for all the cards you get for that extra finishing touch. The cards are not the cheapest (probably an average of $3.99 per card), but the quality is good. There are value options sprinkled around, though, for as low as 99 cents. I don't frequent Hallmark shops very often but every time I come to this one, I leave thinking "wow, I really need to shop there more frequently!" This is a very nice card and gift shop. Forget buying cards at the Dollar Tree or Target, come to Hallmark and you'll remember why they are the leader in greeting cards. Super high quality card stock, beautiful designs, and cards for nearly every occasion, from same-sex weddings and pre-school graduations to octogenarian birthday cards "from the cat." The employees here are always warm and friendly and eager to help. They have a nice stock of great gifts that are perfect for secret Santa exchanges and more. Their after holiday sales are good too, where you can stock up on holidays merch for next year. When I was a preteen I used to love Hallmark stores and would browse as long as my parents would let me. This store has that specific, nostalgic "Hallmark smell" that totally takes me back to my youth. read more

Finding the right card for the right person that says what you want to say is pretty difficult. I usually find myself handwriting my own cards. This card was especially important for a very special person in my life. Although I could have written it on my own, I think the stress of having to mail out a gift on time to reach this special person on time was stressing me out a little that the right words just wasn't coming to me. So I turned to Yelp and found the nearest Hallmark store. There was a huge selection on Mother's Day cards which took me a good 20-minutes to find the ONE. You know, the one that almost causes you to breakdown in tears? Comedian Kevin James demonstrates it the best :D Because it was Mother's Day cards that I was on the hunt for, I needed two, the other for my beautiful mother-in-law. So after finding her card, on-behalf of my husband, I asked the salesperson if it would be okay for me to return it if my husband hated it. She said yes, just bring it back with the receipt. Luckily, my husband loved his card for his mother too. And like all Hallmark stores, there's all the other stuff. But no time on Saturday to do that as I needed to mail out my stuff. Unfortunately, this Hallmark store is not an authorized US Postal Service office. So great service, great products, great location and clean too. I love Hallmark....I've been going to Hallmark ever since I was old enough to get a card and could read. Sure they can be a bit pricey and they lure you back in with coupons like $5 off $15 or buy 3 cards get one free etc but when you have a big family like I do its definitely worth it. As another fellow yelper has said they seem to have a lot more knick knacks around. It's good though when you have to buy something for a girlfriend or for a friend who's more on the religious side etc. I don't really see too many items for men/boys though but it works out because I get suckered into buying whatever cool trinkets/gifts they have. They also have some cool wrapping paper...I know who wraps things anymore when there are gift bags? Well I do...when I have the time. If not there are cute bags that go with any occasion. I came in this evening to get sympathy cards for my boyfriends family who just lost their mom. I picked out cards and other items and waited at the cash register while an employee (blonde) did something behind the register. No one was in line before me and she never even looked in my direction. I waited a couple minutes until another employee came out from the back and asked if I was ready to check out. I said yes and the blonde employee rudely said to the other employee, "I didn't see her." I just thought it was rude the way she talked about me. The least she could've said to me was "I am so sorry I didn't see you, but my coworker will take care of you" the other employee that checked me out was lovely. read more

When I need a Birthday card etc. this is where I go. They always have the perfect card. The have a huge selection of cards that of course varies with the season. The gift items they offer are pretty cool too . They have added allot of gift items that cater to Millennials which since I have one of them living with me is perfect. My daughter being a Gamer can always find some cool thing to add to her crazy collection of Gaming Memorabilia. The service here is always super friendly. The staff prides itself on that. I have always felt welcome and have never had a bad customer experience here. We singed up for the reward program and always seem to have some sort of deal or coupon to help offset the price of our items. They also offer 10% Military discount on top of whatever deal you have - sweet! They are expensive but driving all around the valley looking for that special card can be time consuming and expensive too. I come here and leave here with what I need! read more

Don't ever order anything from Hallmark. I placed 2 orders in May for Mother's Day. I had my baby April 30th. We ended up not picking up the items because they cancelled some of the items ordered. It's now July, and I still don't have my refund. Customer service claims they switched ordering systems and they they want to give me my refund, but I still don't have it. They keep apologizing. I don't want an apology, I want my money! They offered me a gift card of $15 in the meantime. I don't want to shop at Hallmark. They take your money, but can't give it back. While I live in Vegas Kansas City is my hometown, and Hallmark is a KC business I love to support. Amy's Hallmark makes it even easier for me to show my support of those KC artists who design the cards by offering me a great selection from the basic $.99 cent cards all the way up to the premium stuff in the $9 or higher range. If you walk in and you're not sure of where to start just ask one of the staff for help if they don't find you first. Sure I could drive across the parking lot to that Supercenter and buy a card for half the price...but I don't. I'll gladly pay a few extra bucks again to support those artists back home, and support a company that for some of us is still the one to turn to when you care enough to send the very best. Some may say cards are old fashioned especially when one can say Happy Birthday on Facebook in 10 seconds or less. But a card can show creativity and thought that electronic greetings struggle to do. And there's still nothing quite like seeing someone you love holding on to a piece of art that hits an emotional grand slam and makes them smile from ear to ear. Amy's Hallmark has a deep enough selection that it may take you a few minutes to find the perfect card, but the odds of you leaving empty handed are slim. read more

When my older sister went to college many moons ago, my mother would take to the mall and I would scour the aisles of the Hallmark store to find a card that expressed how much I missed her. My then boyfriend now husband and I would exchange "I love you" cards every so often just because we were cheesy like that. With today's technology, I sigh every year I get an effortless email, tweet, or facebook posting that wishes me a happy birthday, or congratulations.... I miss cards for hallmark moments. Pardon my digression. I love Hallmark stores! This one in particular is quite large, and gets a fair amount of traffic. Everyone at the store is very helpful, and when its the busy season, the store is always well-staffed. There are specific cards for almost every occasion you would never think of.. Loss of Pet, Thank you cards for Teachers & Coaches, New Home (even new apartment!), Congrats on your Promotion, Get Well from your accident or hospital stay, and my favorite : Just for Fun cards. Plus they have cards in different languages. Besides cards, they have a potpourri of gift items like Yankee Candles, picture frames, gift bags & wrapping paper, candy, books, fun toys, and seasonal items. Their loyalty card is a big saver. I would strongly recommend signing up because the extra coupons and savings really rack up. So in summary, I think everyone would benefit for the going the extra mile for their certain someones... and a hallmark card from this hallmark store is a nice touch. read more

Beautiful store, very well-kept, clean and I love the selection(although the cards have been lacking i.e - there weren't any 70 year old cards). The staff is up your a** from the moment you walk in. I went in today with my husband and 3 year old son. There were two workers there - a darker haired girl and and older woman named Traci. Both asked numerous times if we needed help. Keep in mind, that my husband and son were looking at the toys and I was on the other side of the store in the card section. Apparently, they keep hounding my husband to see if he needed anything. I really feel that it's because they were worried that my son was going to touch and break things. This is very offensive and uncomfortable. Meanwhile, I was looking by myself and nobody came to me. I feel that's because they were so concerned about a toddler in the store - whom of which was very well behaved. There was absolutely no indication at all that he was misbehaving. End result - I had my husband take our son outside in 108 degrees to wait for me while I paid. I felt very anxious and felt rushed. I spent about $80 there and WOULD HAVE SPENT MORE, had I not felt offended and uncomfortable. My advice to management is that being helpful is great - BUT if someone says they don't need help, leave them be. I felt like a criminal in the store and I don't appreciate feeling like my son didn't belong there. read more

I have been shopping at Hallmark stores since I was in high school, and I'm NOT saying when that was. ;) Amy's Hallmark has been one of my go to locations because of it's nice variety of items and good parking. On this trip I needed three cards and I was able to get in and get out quickly. Which is always a plus. I was immediately greeted upon entry. The store was clean and tidy. My checkout was a breeze and the cashier even remembered to give me those much expected, and loved little gold seals. As long as they keep running this location in this fashion, I'll keep choosing Amy's Hallmark. read more

Went here to find a 1yr anniversary gift for my brother in law & his wife. We had no idea what we wanted all we knew was we needed paper or a clock. We walked in & the 2 ladies working were amazing!!! I wish I could remember their names!!! But they helped us find a lovely book, picked out beautiful gift wrapping & WRAPPED IT FREE OF CHARGE!!! To start off with my situation. I'm a procrastinator and I came in a week and a day after Father's Day. They pulled there cards for me to still buy a seasonal card. THEN I went again to get a gift for my grandmas gift for her B-day. The best gift wrapper in the store, hands down I think her name is Donna. She has helped me multi times. She is awesome. Went here yesterday to pick up a few last minute items for Christmas gift wrapping. Very disorganized system for checkout which was inconvenient but not upsetting. What was upsetting and memorable however was The cashier, Carolyn or Catherine was EXTREMELY RUDE. Beyond rude. When she asked how my experience was, I mentioned it was good but the check out is a bit disorganized. She laughed loudly and condescendingly and in a very flippant tone told me that "it's the 23rd of December, there are bound to be lines". She then threw my stuff in a bag took my payment and said "i will get you out of here" and shoved my bag across the counter at me. I could not believe her tone in front of the whole store. Myself and the woman behind me looked at each other in disbelief. This store lacks customer service, I will not go there again spending my hard earned money to be treated like that and I will urge others to stay away also. I spoke with their corporate office and will write a letter. Also spoke with store manager Donna who was nice but I'm not sure this employee will be coached on her attitude or treatment of customers. The way she acted toward me so blatantly indicates this is how she treats their customers. read more
