Location has rude staff; I went to buy the evil queen collection but I got side tracked and pick up some scents for my wallflower. The lady at the checkout said I got 6 instead of 5 for their discount. The scents were still in the hand basket I brought up to the counter; I went to pull the basket towards me so I could look and see which one I wanted to remove. This girl held on to my basket; would not let it go so I could pull it towards me. When I looked at her, to inform of her to let go she stood there with her hand holding the strap of the basket and not letting go. My personal experience with this store is... My sister in law always has these nice smelling soaps in her house with the foamer. And it's seasonal. So thoughtful. But I don't have soap like that. Sales Associate Kayla was very nice and tried to be helpful in the face of a computer issue and an unhelpful manager. What should have been a 5 minute buy turned into 25 minutes after a receipt couldn't be generated. Kayla turned it over to her manager Paula. She contacted IT; they couldn't help. Even though the purchase showed on my card, she suggested I ring the item up again to get a receipt or take the item and if I needed to return it, I could take a store credit. Returning the item was not possible due to the register issue. I wasn't going to be charged twice for the same item so I walked with the item. Getting madder that their error would have prevented a refund, I returned to the store and only after videoing the interaction, did Paula decide to take the item back and give me cash. She knew the purchase went through (otherwise the cash offer wouldn't have happened), but was only willing to do the right thing when I started to video her. She either should have done that immediately or generated a handwritten receipt. I guess that would have taken too much effort. Great way to lose a customer. read more

An employee was rude to me. I have been shopping at Bath and Body Works for years. Most of the time I bring my own bag. Yesterday, I was trying to enjoy my shopping experience when an employee asked if I wanted a basket. I said, "No, thank you. I have a bag." At that point her toned changed as she said, "I would perfer if that you use a basket." I said, "Excuse me?" Because she said it so insistently. She arrogantly went on about how it was company policy. But I have never been asked to use a basket instead of my own bag. One can't even argue that it was to deter theft as my bag was transparent. Her attitude and our interaction made me highly uncomfortable. I cut my shopping short as I wanted to get out of there. Of course I had to go in and find out what the scent was? The ladies who work there are all very nice and helpful. Lots of sampling going on, so a lot of scents get mixed up. But I found the right product. Pecan Waffle Body Lotion, Shower Gel and Spray. Buy 2 get 1 Free. It doesn't feel like its free cause the two together are $33. Embarrassing Customer Service! I just visited the store at Town Square in Las Vegas. First, I was not greeted upon my entrance into the store. I had to go all the way to the back of the store to ask someone where the men's body wash products were. When I found them, once again, as always, the scent that I was looking for was not being sold. I asked someone what happened to the Vanilla scent body wash and I was told that they had discontinued it. Typical of Bath and Body Works: when a product sells well because people like it, they discontinue it (this is not the first time). The salesperson, who was at the door when I entered and ignored me, then tried to get me to try a different fragrance. I told her three times that I preferred the vanilla scent, but she continued to show me other products. I finally said, "forget it," and I left without making a purchase. This younger generation in retail has no communication skills and that is why customer service is horrible these days. And as for Bath and Body Works, the management team that continuously discontinues popular products, does not know what they are doing. They are incompetent morons. I was needing some last minute gifts so I placed an order online for pickup. It was easy to place the order. You get an email once your order is ready. I was in the area so I stopped in to see if it was ready. I spoke with an associate who happened to be one of the managers (I found this out as I was leaving). She let me know that they were short staffed and received quite a few orders. She offered me to pick out the items but I let her know I did not have time to wait in line. Without hesitation, she took me to the back where orders were being put together. She looked me up in the system and coincidentally they were working on my order. I used to like BBW but after buying their candles and experiencing the toxic scent from the parafin wax and reading about it I changed my mind. We bought candles because we had family coming for Thanksgiving but after burning the candles we noticed the odd smell which was like kerosene. I come to this store and the Sephora at Town Square but that seems to be it. I have enjoyed most of my shopping experiences in here except for the one. This last time that I was here I felt like I was unnecessarily being followed around. Anything that I touched, whether to look more closely at the packaging or look more closely at the name of the scent of the product, every time I touched something, there was someone behind me to move it and re=position it just right. Not to mention, there was always someone behind me asking me if I needed any help, if I was looking for anything in particular, etc. Sheesh. You don't work on commission. So, it wasn't that. I stopped in at the Bath & Body Works at Town Square because I had a coupon from the mail for a free gift. Who doesn't like free gifts? This location is located to right of California Pizza Kitchen. There were employees putting away product and they greeted me as I walked by them. Everything was neat and tidy as I looked around. I had a question regarding the smell of one of the wallflowers I found that didn't have a sample near it and the employee I asked was very helpful in finding a candle that would work as a sample. When I went to the register to pay for my items, the employee behind the counter told me that I had misread the coupon and helpfully pointed out where I could go to get my free gift. I thanked her and found something I'd like before coming back. There are a bunch of Bath & Body Works everywhere, so I base a store on their employees. The employees were friendly and helpful here. I was simply disappointed while shopping at this location yesterday and had to leave and go to the store in Downtown Summerlin. An associate named Ruth asked me twice if she could help me. However, she went all over the store having other customers try the new fragrance sample she was spraying but never offered it to me. So, I put all my items and the basket back to leave. Before exiting the store I went to her to ask her if she would be so kind as to let me have a sample. I liked the fragrance so much that I went to the other store and purchased along with other items. I received extremely rude service from Gabriela at this location. I tried to inquire about the coupon I had received on my email. I was really nice and polite, and I even apologized for interrupting her putting stuff out of the boxes. She made me feel stupid for asking about the exceptions to the coupon, (yes, I can read that it is anything under $14) and at the end she gave incorrect information, because after her her interrupting me twice to tell me that it's in the coupon and that anything under $14 was part of the promotion, I selected something that was $10.50 but was not part of the promotion. In the whole exchange, she made me feel bad for asking her a simple question in a polite and respectful manner. If she doesn't like her job, she can always quit, she shouldn't to take it out on paying customers. They do not return anything that has been burned anymore. I came to this location because it was close to where I live, and I had received two coupons in the mail that I wanted to use. After a half-hearted greeting when I walked into the store, I picked up a few items and headed over to the checkout area. I was told that I qualified to get an extra free item based on what I had, so I went and chose another product and returned to the checkout area a couple minutes later. Now this is what knocks off the first star- even though there was clearly a second employee in the store doing nothing but stocking & facing, I still had to wait for the employee at the register to ring up two other people in front of me. As a former retail employee & manager, I know that the customers come first and the employee stocking should have put their work to the side and come over to ring me up! That stocking employee even said goodbye to me on my way out, so I know it wasn't an issue of them being too absorbed in their work to notice me - it was a conscious effort on their part not to ring me up and to let the other employee handle the line of customers on their own. Not cool. Also, when I asked for a gift receipt at the register the employee seemed flustered and eventually told me I couldn't get one. Not sure what that was about, and that knocks off the second star. A gift receipt is a pretty standard request at most retail shops. All in all, I did not receive very good service at this location and I don't think I will be back. The coupons were valid online as well, and next time I receive them I will do that instead. read more
