LOL Hogan and his family hire exceptionally well and if you leave a bad review because they greeted you within 45 seconds of entering the business...that's no reason to leave a negative review. It's called customer service pinhead! Jeez...this is what ya deal with when providing service to the General Public nowadays. Most people are alright but the General Public can be a general pain in the arse. Look...if you need fishing tackle, whatever it is, Hogan's has it. If you need your gear serviced, Hogan's does it quickly and properly. If you need four dollar bait, Hogan's has it. If you think four dollar bait is too expensive...you have serious issues and need to either make more money or see a shrink...maybe both. This is THE TACKLE SHOP for serious anglers. Need a special hook in a specific size, shape and color? They have it. A particular shape & weight sinker...they have it. It's a fully stocked store with so much stuff new customers struggle to locate what they are needing so the staff welcomes you upon entry and seeks to help you find whatever you are looking for. OMG...how audacious of them! LOL Normal fishermen & women love this place and always find the experience positive. Those who are broke, wearing invisible tiaras and generally despondent are the reason all the collective review score is a hair under 5 star. We all know these people...they are never happy and the harder you try to please them, the more miserable they act. Clearly they are not fishing often enough. Probably spool their coffee-grinders backwards and hold the thing upside-down. You know...the guy who won the jackpot on the cattleboat and stiffed the crew. Hogan's Tackle sets the customer care bar so high...other tackle shop staffers need to charter a plane just to see it. Zero room for improvement! After losing track of time months later, I found out that the style I wanted was already sold out almost everywhere, and my size was nowhere to be found. I searched the internet for so many nights just to keep track of anything to come back in stock. After giving up on online searches, I decided to look into local shops. I got so lucky to stumble upon a shop in my hometown that had my size AND a sale price as well. When I called, the guy was nice enough to keep it on hold for me so that I can come on a day where my work schedule isn't crazy. I wish I got your name. It was honestly one of my most mentally exhausting and frustrating weeks, and I guess I was trying to find something I wanted so that I could treat myself and have something to look forward to. I was lucky to learn about him from my racquetball partner Rich who is a local at the LA Fitness 3 miles away. Racquetball restringing is a very unique and personalized process, with many factors such as the weight of the racquet, type of strings, whether you hit the ball at 143.5 mph or just dink and place it and tension desired. He examined my two new racquets and recommended a specific string based on my style of play and stroke. He did a fantastic job. Not only that, I just picked up the racquets less than 24 hours after I dropped them off. WOW! I love the $30 restringing price per racquet plus $10 for a new grip. This lovely one stop shop store features bags, shoes & racquets ( tennis) and is open from 10-5 Monday to Saturday. I am ready for the World Indoor Racquetball Championship in Denver September 4-7,2025. Thank you so much Tyler. I could not be happier.

Steve is inquisitive and he really assesses your needs. And (as I said) he talks, so be prepared for a detailed (and enjoyable) conversation about your needs and wants. I really appreciate the fact he took the time to go over everything with me in exquisite detail. He delivered the board promptly and went over the basics. Steve seems well connected in the surf community and is a great resource. In addition to covering every detail of my purchase, he gave me info on best beaches for SUP surfing as well as contact information for an instructor who sounds amazing. Against, Steve's recommendations of 1. Practicing in a calm area (like a harbor) and 2. Getting lessons, I've been doing this on my own. This board is not as stable as your typical SUP surf board, so took some time to train my balance muscles and learn this board. But after a couple of sessions, I got it down and with that was able to finally paddle over the breaks and make progression towards catching waves. I don't recommend for the average person take this path. I had a surf lesson about 10 years ago and come from kitesurfing. Definitely get lessons if you've never done anything like this. Been out early am every weekend I can, finally catching some of my first waves and sometimes playing kook of the day (and not cashing anything) on a board I LOVE! I would definitely buy another board from Steve just given his passion and commitment to deliver excellence to his customers. His passion is infectious. Board I purchased was an 8'10" Quarto Glide Max. With a quick blade paddle. This setup is awesome.
