Long overdue review- I waited too long to get the snowboard I was eyeing all winter, knowing that they eventually go on sale in the spring. I really needed to go down a size and get a softer board. After losing track of time months later, I found out that the style I wanted was already sold out almost everywhere, and my size was nowhere to be found. I searched the internet for so many nights just to keep track of anything to come back in stock. After giving up on online searches, I decided to look into local shops. I got so lucky to stumble upon a shop in my hometown that had my size AND a sale price as well. When I called, the guy was nice enough to keep it on hold for me so that I can come on a day where my work schedule isn't crazy. I wish I got your name. It was honestly one of my most mentally exhausting and frustrating weeks, and I guess I was trying to find something I wanted so that I could treat myself and have something to look forward to. To be honest I was ready to pay full price for how much I wanted this board. I know CBS doesn't sell online and I am grateful I had somewhere to go where online shoppers weren't a competition. Thank you again for your assistance with helping me build my dream board and for making my week better when I made the purchase. I'm beyond grateful! I have rented skis here in the past, it was a seamless experience and very affordable. I decided to buy ski boots, I called a few stores in OC, many of them had a very limited selection. CBS ended up being our first and only spot. Mark helped us out, he was incredibly knowledgeable about fit. They had a wide selection, over 20 pairs of boots! I ended up getting a pair for under $250! He should be fired because he obviously hates his job. Absolutely poor people skills! He should not be in customer service. The other guy is very helpful and the older gentleman also. They clearly don't know what they are doing there and half of the staff doesn't want to be there. They have bad attitudes and ruined my brand new board that I just bought from wave rave. The guy tightened my bindings so hard into the board it screwed it up and now I can't even get the bindings off my board. Terrible place to go if you're an advanced snowboarder. Awesome experience buying a snowboard for my son. The staff member was very knowledgeable and patient. I told him my son had never boarded before and he set us up with high quality equipment that matched his needs. The very cool part came at the end when he had me watch him as he went on-line and checked his prices against everything that came up for each piece of equipment. In the cases that there was a lower price anywhere, he matched it. This was really good because obviously if you buy on-line you can't be sure if the boots or helmet will fit well and it would be reasonable for the shop to charge a premium over on-line due to the help and fitting you receive. Solid spot to buy/rent gear! Staff is pretty chill, and if you have any questions they're more than happy to help you out! Gave me recommendations on what to look for in items, and walked me through the process for board rentals. I think for the most part it doesn't get too busy, but they do have times where it's packed in there! The prices of their items are pretty good, and they don't try to upsell you on things, felt like they were trying to help find what's the best first for you. Came highly recommended by a few friends so I decided to check it out except I didn't know a darn thing about snowboarding or equipment or anything! LOL. I was so lucky and fortunate to have ran into sales associate named Garret who was absolutely wonderful. I told him the truth and asked for his recommendations. He thoroughly explained everything and let me know what I need, what he recommended, and even let me try on a bunch of boots and things! Left with a pair of boots and my Lib Tech Skate Banana. After I came home, I Googled the prices just to make sure I didn't get ripped off and it turns out I paid even less here at CBS than I could find online!!! HOW RARE IS THAT! Garret was so knowledgeable, patient, and professional I even left him $20 tip! I'm going to take my wife back to get her stuff before we head out for our first snowboading session in decades. Came here to get my bindings adjusted on my skis. Very quick to actually do it and the technician was nice. It did get very crowded so we did have to wait since their shop is on the smaller side. Their clothes are 50% off and my husband got a nice set up for jacket and bib for the snow. I might return to get my own outfit. They have a lot of options and knowledgeable staff. read more

Great selection of ski & snowboarding gear and accessories with very reasonable pricing. The guys here are very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. It's pretty obvious that they love what they do. We've come in to have them install new bindings on skis and even tune up some old ones. They offer gear rental for the season (extremely affordable). They always have snow jackets, bibs, and pants at 50% off. "Pops" and his boys are always very accommodating, you won't get intimidated and feel dumb asking them anything and everything. They take the time to help you out and explain everything without trying to push a sale. Highly recommend this place for all your skiing or snowboarding needs. This is the place to go. read more

I haven't left a Yelp review in a long time but we had such a great experience here that I had to break the streak. My mom got me snowboard boots from here last Christmas and raved about the shop, so when my husband wanted to buy a pair of ski boots we decided to start here instead of being lazy as usual and buying a pair online. We went on a Saturday and the place was packed. But we were still given fantastic service by Mark (one of the owners I think, along with his dad), who was helping 700 people at once. Major major points that he never tried to upsell us at any point--he asked what level my husband skis at and only showed us boots at the intermediate level (he actually ended up getting an advanced pair that was nicer, but only because they were on sale from last season at the same price as the intermediate boots). My husband picked a pair and they fit well but not perfectly. So Mark did this thing where he heated up the insoles and had my husband stand in them for awhile so they would fit perfectly. I'm sure that's a normal thing, but again--700 people in the shop and the boots fit fine, so I felt spending the extra 30 minutes on this process was above and beyond good service. We then went on a ski trip that weekend and realized he needed to be able to tighten up the bindings more after the fitting process, so he brought them back and they tightened the location of the bindings for free. Also, I will say that the staff here really knows their stuff. My dad mentioned something random about a super old pair of ski boots he had loved, and Mark knew exactly the model that he was talking about even though it is apparently way past obsolete (my dad ended up buying a new pair of boots that day too because of how knowledgeable and helpful Mark was). All in all we got very high quality boots for an EXCELLENT price, and the service was phenomenal. So glad we decided to come in to CBS instead of picking a random pair online. read more

We love CBS. I have been renting there over the years, better to spend the time down the mountain rather than fuss with the rental people on the mountain. It saves time and you get better gear. We wanted to get annual rentals for my 8 and 11 year old. Marcus got us great gear that we can keep and return at the end of the season for a reasonable price. We bought a snowboard, boots and bindings for my 16 year old son for Christmas. He was stoked and the price was more reasonable that I expected. I am going back next week to get new boots and fit them to my skiis. Prices on ski boots are as good as spot online and I like having a professional opinion and fit and support a local business. The ski outerwear is a no brainer. I will be getting my jacket there too this year. Better priced than the outlets and it is all good gear. read more
