Dan from the casting team was Super Phenomenal ... He asked me what colors I wanted and I told him I wanted something 4th of July themed. Dan took very special care of molding the cast to my hand so the fit was completely comfortable and I was pain free. He helped my husband make treatment decisions and was thorough in explaining what to expect day of, and following up. In addition, all of the staff in the facility were prompt, professional, and caring. We were so pleased with the service he received, so when I developed an issue with my hands and my PCO suggested seeing an orthopedic specialist, I called this practice. They were able to access my x-rays directly from RIMI, which I appreciated (no one wants to have to repeat tests). I saw a Fellow, who came in first to examine my hands and diagnose the problem (trigger finger - in both hands - that was causing pain, swelling, and lack of movement). Dr. Gil came in, confirmed the diagnosis - and let me know the treatment (steroid shot), and next line treatment (minor surgical procedure) if the steroid didn't cure the problem. He administered the shots in the exam room that day, letting me know that it might take a few days for reaction to be fully noticeable. Throughout my treatment too, the staff were helpful and offered great service. The Kettle Point facility is brand new, very clean, and a welcoming place to receive service. I'm mystified by the low ratings from others!

There are two locations in Providence. My experience was with the 285 Governor St location. There is a huge parking lot and is easy to navigate to when there is no construction. A few times, there was construction and Governor street was blocked so I had to go around it. It was easy to make an appointment. I first came for a consult and then made a plan with Shemaiah on how I can improve. The appointments were scheduled for a few months at a time. After the sessions, I definitely felt my progress improving. Shemaiah is personable and really friendly. She wants to see you improve and will work with you to obtain your goals. Their billing is done by a third party and after calling Elite Physical Therapy and their billing office multiple times, I finally got my patient refund after 4 months of waiting. I am not sure why it took them so long to process the refund and when I asked, they had no answer. Other than the patient refund issue, the space is clean and spacious. After a few months of therapy, my ankle was a lot better and I was able to walk normally.

Her experience was that Alan Silk and his team would provide me with progressive exercises to not only solve my back issues but that the exercises would also provide me with an on-going means of maintaining a healthy back without requiring continuing office visits as would be the case with a chiropractor. Over the course of a few months of visits, Silk Physical Therapy made my back problems go away completely and my back has been fine ever since. They also helped me with some other minor nagging injury problems. Alan, Kim, and Matt were great therapists to work with and Caitlin (not sure of spelling!) was courteous and professional managing the office. I highly recommend Silk Physical Therapy.

So, if you are looking for a Rolfer, if you are new to Rolfing and want to see what all of the hullabaloo is about, OR if you have no idea what Rolfing is -- go see Greg. I say this with passionate resolve and without reservation. Yes, the name Rolfing sounds weird, but I guess if your name is Ida Rolf and you develop your own form of structural alignment therapy, you are gonna want it to bear your last name. Hence Rolfing. (No, silly, not ROFLing!) Ahem. As I said, Rolfing is structural alignment therapy that focuses on the manipulation of your fascia to get your body back to healthy. A session looks like physical therapy and massage had a bodywork baby. Anyhoo, I am a dancer and have been dancing since the tender age of three. As a dancer, my body has gotten into certain habits that were great for my beat-up young dancer body, but not great to sustain a healthy aging body. I had pain in my lower back, veritably zero motion in my hips, and my weight was unevenly distributed over my toes causing problems in my legs and knees. Enter Greg. After a series of ten hour-long treatments, not only did my body feel looser, stronger, more able to adapt to its environment - but I could visibly see the results. It was truly amazing. Now, I go every month or so for upkeep. Because Rolfing is such an intimate therapy (yes, you do have to be in your skivvies), I found Greg to be a perfect presence. He's super chill without being distant and is just dorky and self-effacing enough to put me at ease. Yes, some of my sessions are emotional and challenging because Rolfing literally undoes years of 'doing' that is encoded my muscles, bones, and fascia - but again, Greg handles my opposition with gentle persistence. Any discomfort is totally worth it, though, as I always leave feeling taller, lighter, more lithe, and more connected to my body. Greg is the man. Do not let the price of each session dissuade you. Give him a call, chat with him, and try a trial session. I found the money spent to be totally worth it, and I made sacrifices to be able to afford it. Bonus: If you have a Health Savings Account, that money can be spent on Rolfing.

Her empathy and customer service were a solid 5/5 stars.Unfortunately, the medical care from the actual providers was deeply disappointing. I came in with an acute sports injury after hearing a physical "pop" in my foot, experiencing swelling on the top of my foot, and dealing with severe nerve pain. They took X-rays but didn't bother to sit down, look at them with me, or properly explain a clear diagnosis. Instead, they completely dismissed a severe structural injury as basic plantar fasciitis, handed me some topical gel, and sent me on my way.To make matters worse, they told me it was "normal to work under these conditions"--completely ignoring the fact that my daily job requires heavy pulling, pushing, and lifting of heavy objects. Because they refused to give me an immobilization boot or take the soft-tissue damage seriously, I have spent days favoring my left leg. I have now developed agonizing sciatica from straining my back just trying to hobble around.Kristen White deserves a promotion for her outstanding humanity and professionalism, but the medical providers seriously need to re-evaluate how they dismiss patients with acute traumatic injuries.
