I have been receiving PT w/Zachary at Specht for many months now for help with my low back pain. Thanks to his exceptional knowledge, his understanding of what 'I' specifically needed, and the one to one work we did, I graduated yesterday...woohoo!! I feel stronger than ever, confident in my ability, and more flexible than before I entered their doors. What I love most about Specht is that you get an actual physical therapist working with you each and every time. I have been to other PT places in the past and have always had to work with their assistants after the initial consultation. I never felt I was getting the optimal care I should have been receiving...felt something was missing. At Specht, I never felt that. Zachary was always able to answer any questions I had, and he was able to adjust my exercises accordingly, if anything new came up. I have had many rounds of physical therapy in person at Specht Physical Therapy. Each time the therapy helped me a great deal with the problem at that time. I completed my second Telehealth physical therapy appointment today. I thought it would be a lot different from going in person, but it is almost the same experience, assuming you have a computer or phone with a microphone and camera (laptop or tablet works best because you can see everything; you can also move it around and change the angle of the screen). You can see and talk to your PT, he/she can see you, questions can be asked, exercises can be demonstrated, practiced, and perfected. I've received exceptional care from Specht Physical Therapy and would never consider going anywhere else. I've needed a significant amount of physical therapy at two different times, once for severe whiplash following a 2002 car accident and currently for rehab of a knee following surgery. I had shoulder surgery last September and had to have PT during recovery. My PT Mike King from Specht Physical Therapy was so caring and compassionate even when I was frustrated with my progress. He never let me get down on myself. He explained everything clearly before he did anything. He was always encouraging me with my progress. As I put it I graduated from PT today but I would not hesitate to go back for anything or send anyone to Mike and the group of PTs at Specht PT. I can't forget to mention the ladies at the front des, especially Rebecca, who make sure that everything runs smoothly. They always greet you with a smile and are always helpful. 2 hours ago I have been going to Specht for a few months now and I am amazed at how much better I feel. To be honest, I was not a big believer in PT but my experience with Mollye definitely changed that. I have a bulging herniated disc and have been in pain for about 2 years. Working with Mollye 2 days a week has helped tremendously. She is so patient and thorough with showing how to do the exercises precisely with impeccable form so you are doing everything correctly. She is an amazing teacher and you can tell she cares deeply about helping her clients. I have so much less pain now and I am even able to slowly get back into running again. I would not hesitate to recommend Specht to anyone. I even convinced my husband to work with Mollye and he is very happy with the results as well. read more

Went to Specht for a frozen shoulder ,which is extremely painful. Everyday task like making a bed or reaching to close the car door was impossible without shooting pain. My experience was excellent with all aspects of care. The office staff was very friendly . I never waited more than five minutes in the waiting area. I was so fortunate to have Brendan Putney as my therapist . Brendan helped me regain mobility of my shoulder and progress each week was evident . With progress ,home exercise program was updated to exactly what I needed to do. I am so pleased to have had such a positive experience , and to have been so fortunate to have Brendan 's knowledge and expertise and professionalism . I had an outstanding experience at Specht Physical Therapy. I had previously been going to another physical therapy clinic before switching to Specht and getting really amazing results post-ACL reconstructive surgery. Dr. Lauren is a great listener and would address every question or concern I had with great knowledge and great ideas- and would personalize my therapy to my life, job, and interests, such as dance. She was also always super positive and encouraging when I needed it most. I started physical rehab unable to walk without a limp and left Specht PT so much stronger and healthier! I have been to Specht Physical Therapy for three issues over the last 10 years. Each time I have had Mike King as my therapist and each time I have finished my sessions with great improvement and lasting results. He not only addresses the pain and lack of mobility but shows me ways to keep the issue from recurring. This time was for shoulder and neck pain. About 4 years ago was I had terrible knee and leg pain and after going to Mike I was able to walk 66 miles on the Camino de Santiago. I came to Greg with a lack of mobility and pain in my hip. I had seen several doctors, who did not understand the cause nor how to treat it. Greg worked with me for 4 months trying numerous techniques and treatments to attack the problem. Reviewing my MRI results along with my response to treatment, Greg was able to identify the root cause, while relieving much of the pain and hip tightness. On his recommendation, I went to the doctor for an injection, which returned my hip to normalcy. Greg has given my a number of strengthening and stretching techniques that have helped me maintain my ability to tie my shoe and ride a bike. Thanks Greg for your help. read more

Mike King is the best Physical Therapist I have ever had. I speak from experience because I have had 5 knee surgeries. Mike helped me get through a rotator cuff surgery. I went from being completely immobile to being able to have full use of my shoulder and arm again. Not only is he a good therapist but he also has excellent bedside manners. I actually looked forward to the sessions because not only did he help me with my shoulder, he is also a good guy. I would recommend Mike to anyone I know who has to go through physical therapy. Today I completed enough sessions to graduate from Specht Physical Therapy. I had a history of two severe arthritic shoulders ultimately requiring two total shoulder replacements in 2018 and 2019. Recently, I visited my surgeon at the MGH for a three month review. I had a bilateral hip replacement due to advanced arthritis and a congenital condition. After surgery, I was concerned that my recovery would be difficult and painful.
