Just to be clear our appt was for 12/6/25 and it was booked on 11/25/25, not last minute. The young girl at the desk listened to my frustration. She tried to book us for the next day but my son was leaving at 5:00am. She finally said she would do the photos herself. However, I do not think she was a photographer. She had no experience with the baby and just kept saying "Smile Baby". The photos were okay, but out of 119 we liked 4 or 5. This was the second time we used them, the last time wasn't great either and it was for my daughter's engagement. We thought we would try again. We bought a few but only because we did so much to make it happen. SO disappointing for a Marriott approved company. I feel they would have used a better photographer at their resort.

I found Marella through Yelp to help me take my maternity photos a month ago so it is only fitting…read moreI write her a review on Yelp after my experience! I was looking for someone who was reasonably priced and fun/reliable to work with while we were on our babymoon in Oahu. Enter Marella. She was super fast and responsive to my emails, sending me price packages and suggestions of where I could take photos based on where I was staying in Oahu. Since Marella herself is based in North Shore and there is a travel fee for her to go farther out, she mentioned to me a few of her associates and where they could take pictures with no travel costs. At first I was considering taking photos in Kailua or Lanikai since I love the aqua blue of the waters there, but Marella ended up giving me more recommendations of where we could go that was closer to our side of the island. We ended up going with her associate Michelle after looking through sample galleries of her associates' work and based on the pictures I liked from Michelle's gallery, Marella made more recommendations of where to go and what time of day to get the effect I wanted. She was never pushy for me to commit and offered me plenty of suggestions even before I booked her associate! Booking an associate is slightly cheaper than booking Marella, but she still does all the coordinating and the editing. The day before the shoot I texted Michelle to check in and made sure we were meeting at the agreed upon spot. Michelle actually wanted to meet further down the beach so it was a good thing I did check in! We had a lot of fun with her and felt very at ease during our photo session! She ended up taking a little longer than an hour because we were having fun and she had some ideas she wanted to try and we never felt rushed. Michelle would also adjust my hair or if anything looked kind of out of place and coach us when she needed to get the right angles to show off the bump. She was very professional and fun to work with and helped us incorporate a few props and specific photos I wanted! After the session, Marella did check in with us to see how it went and told us she would keep us posted on the edits. What I thought was pretty nice about her package was that with the associate package, we got to pick out 30 from our fully edited gallery, or pay an additional amount per photo, or buy the whole gallery for another $100. I think because Marella edits the whole gallery for you to choose from, her post production time ends up being longer than some other photographers. She originally said 4-5 weeks but because I was having a baby shower sooner that I wanted to use some of the photos at, she managed to get me the gallery at 3 weeks. We bought the entire gallery for the extra $100 and got almost 150 photos!! It was totally worth the extra money since I liked almost all the photos! I really appreciated her trying to figure out what I wanted as a client and being flexible to fit that. I wouldn't mind using her and her associates again in the future if I were in Oahu and needed a photo session. And I found her prices very reasonable and her work to be reliable and professional! A few of my friends who are from Hawaii even asked me to tell them more about the photographer because they liked the photos :) Thank you Marella!!

I immediately fell in love with Emily's artistry when I stumbled upon her Instagram! Emily's packages were also very reasonably priced, which left room for my now husband and I to add on a wedding album and USB drive of all the photos to our package. I don't think you'll find a better value for the quality of wedding photos that Emily delivers. Emily is also such a kind and accommodating person! Our wedding ceremony and reception was planned for March 21 2020, when the COVID-19 pandemic abruptly shuttered everything on Oahu. So instead of the 200 person reception we planned, we postponed the reception with our extended family and friends to next year and opted to marry in an intimate ceremony with our immediate family instead. Throughout this whole craziness that unfolded in a matter of 2 days, Emily was extremely sympathetic. She was able to still come out for a mini session and capture our intimate ceremony. She was very nice and was more than happy to postponed our wedding package to next year when we get to celebrate with everyone else. She arrived early day-of and was very good at people wrangling too! She guided our family efficiently and got all the family pictures in, and had a way of making my husband feel less camera shy. The day after our ceremony, Emily had already sent me some sneak peeks that looked amazing and that we could share with our family and friends! And within one month she had finished editing the entire gallery from our wedding. Our family and friends absolutely loved all the pictures we shared, and we cannot wait for her to capture the big reception next year. She is amazing. Hire Emily!!
