I am so delighted with high end new appliances purchased and installed through sales rep Steve Grandbois at Specialty Appliance in Fort Collins. I researched to the nth degree for years before custom building our new home. Decided on Wolf for our double griddle cooktop, Vent-a-Hood, Sub Zero, and mostly Miele appliances due to the fact that Miele lets you plumb your combination steam oven (my favorite appliance by far), 30" wall oven, and then their superb coffee maker, while Wolf does not. Our 2 Miele dishwashers are the best in the industry. Steve is the perfect appliance design pro, methodically working with our custom cabinet maker to ensure rough installation was a snap with super smart pro installer Victor and crew, and it was. We went to Specialty Appliance in Fort Collins to buy all of the appliances for our new home. We were told the service would be excellent and had great quality items. Our first trip there was good and we got good service. After that, not so much. When they came to install our appliances, the dishwasher, dryer and fridge were all broken. Second dryer had a dent. They kept telling us the fridge not working was probably user error. When we convinced them it wasn't working, they at first wanted us to wait until they got someone out there to look at it which would be a week or so. We told them we could not be in a new house without a working fridge so they did bring out one for us to use. When the repair man came out to look at it, they ended up scraping it because they couldn't fix it. Finally got a working fridge later. We felt like we were at a scratch and dent store and not a high quality one. read more

Ordered all new appliance for our remodeled kitchen. When they were delivered the microwave was damaged and the range was not in working order. When we tried to get the appliance fixed we were forced to work on their time table. The range light wouldn't shut off and we had to have someone come in to find out the range shelves had been installed improperly. When we tried to get the microwave installed, again we were forced to work on their time table and it was difficult to schedule a time that worked. The problems were created by Specialty Appliance and we felt our time was not valued and the way were treated was somewhat disrespectful. Overall, a poor experience. read more

Our Builder installed the premier package from Specialty the end of 2019. Wolf cooktop, double smart oven (the best model at that time) and microwave. Sub Zero reefer and Asko dishwasher. MSRP on the package would be in the plus $30k area. I'm sure it was in the price of the home. This week the dishwasher failed and since they have moved on to another high end brand of Dishwasher, Gove, they no longer have any information for how to get the once highly touted ASKO repaired for us and moreover didn't seem to care. Only 3 years old and residential use... This is a disappointment for us because we received better service from our old home's Kitchen Aid seller, which we didn't need for at-least 7 years. I guess with the continued growth in this area, loyalty and Customer Service only last as long as the Dealer can get you to purchase their brands. I guess there is a certain amount of prestige in having all of these high end brands in a house while thinking the dealer will treat you as a high end customer. But alas that is not the case. When the growth slows down and the economy isn't so robust we'll see how they fare. Sears used to be a big deal too. read more

Originally the space was too tight to accommodate the new appliances but they sent out a trim team to make it fit and they did a wonderful job. Victoria was our sales person in the Ft. Collins office. She has helped us with multiple appliance purchases. She is very helpful and very knowledgeable. Today's installation team was awesome! Calvin and Junior installed our Thermador double convection oven. Both Calvin and Junior were very careful, pleasant, and very professional. They took great care in removing our old oven, retrofitting our custom cabinet, and installing the new oven. No dents, no dings, no scratches. We originally placed our order for a full kitchen appliance replacement on 10/31/21. All (stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator, at a cost of over $10,000) were delayed for installation until 2022 with the refrigerator delivered on 3/15/22, The freezer side of the new refrigerator did not work from day one. SA sent a repair Tech the next week and we were told it would not be repairable due to a lack of parts. A "temporary" replacement was delivered about a month later and we had to buy ice for that period of time. The installers that delivered the temporary refrigerator told us they were not allowed to hook up the ice maker. We went out and bought the old style ice trays for ice. We were supposedly placed with SA's Expediting Team to get our new refrigerator. We called/emailed about once a week to get status reports and usually get simple "no new information" responses. We finally found that our refrigerator was available in other parts of the country and was listed as available on the Kitchen Aid web site in late 11/22. So, we notified the Expediting Team of this fact. After another week, we were finally scheduled for delivery and installation the last week of 12/22. We would not recommend this retailer for any appliance need. read more

This place is run by incompetent nitwits. All service is farmed out to a third party and good luck getting service on your brand new non functioning appliances in a timely manner. All they do themselves is installation and that is done by folks that take zero pride in their work. Calvin and Kyle - Two fine technicians with Specialty Appliance just left our home after completing the installation of oak panels on our Kitchen Aid refrigerator that we purchased from SA. We are very pleased with the assistance we received from Josh at SA in guiding us to purchase the refrigerator and we are even more pleased with the work that Calvin and Kyle did in mounting the door panels. They arrived on time, took care to lay out the panels making certain that the wood grain matched then went to work installing the panels. They were both very professional and polite and completed the job in no time at all. Then they cleaned up so well you wouldn't know that they had been here except that the refrigerator has been transformed. I have been looking to upgrade my stove to gas from electric for quite some time. I had been to every place I knew of that sold appliances (Best Buy, Appliance Factory Outlet, Sears, etc.) and none offered a range with high enough BTUs for my cooking needs. My coworker/friend told me about Specialty Appliance and we came during our lunch break. I worked with Zac Knuppel and despite knowing that I was looking and still working to install a gas line (so still a few weeks out), he was super knowledgeable and was willing to share information to help me pick the right range for my home. He also gave me questions to ask my plumber and to inquire about city permitting. While I'm interested in the commercial grade ranges, Zac informed me that if I faced limitations due to my city or home restrictions, he could help me with brands not in the showroom. Once I have the information from the city, I'll be back to talk to Zac. I trust that he will help me find the right range that will meet my needs, my home restrictions, and my budget. read more

I have to post a mixed review. Josh was excellent in assisting me with the comparison and final selection of new kitchen appliances. Unfortunately when the appliances were being installed, the water line behind the fridge burst, flooding my newly refinished oak flooring (6 weeks prior, in fact). The installer called a Specialty Appiance customer service representative who immediately offered up to $200 payment for plumbing repair. However, the next day when I discovered the flooring had warped, even though water had been quickly wiped up, S.A. said they "never" take responsibiity for possible water damage, leaving me to have the floor completely resanded and stained again at a cost of $500-$600. When the valve was turned off and back on during the floor refinishing, there was no problem with that water valve. I'm disappointed in the refusal by Speciality Appliance to take responsibility. read more

My wife and I recently bought a home in Fort Collins and we needed some appliances to get us going. We weren't looking to spend a ton of money but we wanted to invest in quality appliances that we knew would last us a while and that came from a reputable dealer in case things went south. We had checked out the offerings at the local big box stores as well -- prices were comparable but I never had confidence that the sales staff really knew their products. Enter Specialty Appliance. They sell not only top-of-the-line brands, but plenty of good mid-range products as well. We worked with Jeremy Eades, who did a ton of research for us and narrowed our search down to a handful of good washer/dryer options that were within our price range. The delivery/install was professional as well. When it came time to purchase a range hood, I got the same great customer service from Jeremy and figured out a nice mid-range model that would fit our needs. He even personally delivered it when he realized we lived nearby. I know where we'll be going when it's time to buy a new range. These folks are top-notch and I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for great service and quality products at a competitive price. read more

Great showroom and knowledgeable staff. Made many trips before buying our Wolfe cooktop. As soon as I paid for my appliance all the customer service went out the window and they were no longer available for assistance. My phone calls were not returned. After 2 weeks my order was still not placed. In fact I still have not received my cooktop to date. We are going on 3 months. I picked up the downdraft myself directly from the store and was charged a delivery fee and extra taxes on top of a shipping fee. I needed to return the down draft that was unopened and was charged a restocking fee of 20%. Overall, I would NOT recommend purchasing ANY appliances from this place only use them to gather information. I have sent a letter to the WOLF company to complain about this distributors poor customer service once purchased. read more
