This is the 2nd DWS system from them. Their DWS product/system is excellent. At times I've found they don't have capable staff that you can speak with, but with patience it'll be figured out. Ordered an $85 membrane right from the company website and the membrane did not allow any water through. There is no customer service # so had to email them. There was no choice for "defective product" so the closest I picked was Item Received Different From My Order. They asked for pictures of my system which I sent and the reply email I got is trying to sell me a new system. The return policy states no returns after 3 days. They have a 1 year warranty but no way of contacting them about the warranty. read more

I first contacted Spectrapure about a Reverse Osmosis System. They suggested a system and I purchased it later adding a washable pre-filter in a separate canister. I had purchased most of the parts with the system and was able to reuse the drain saddle from the original system and purchased a stainless steel shut-off valve for the line that went to the freezer. I've replaced the membrane once and the cartridges several times and will be replacing all of them again in a couple of weeks. I had ordered from them and driven to their office but the last few times opted to have it shipped via USPS Priority mail and all is well. Five-and-a-half years ago I reached out to Charles who designed a water softener system for me consisting of a Whole House Carbon Filter and a Water Softener and that is working great as well. I've seen people with Kinetico system spend 3x what I spent and hundreds of dollars in cartridges per year and their systems don't filter as good as this one. It's been 13 years now and I wholeheartedly recommend SpectraPure to anyone. In the past I reached out to both Charles & Jeremy by email and most recently just Charles. One of my neighbors was so impressed with the system that he purchased a whole house water softener for his house but the one with two tanks instead of one. read more

I am so HAPPY right now. I have owned a SpectraPure RODI system for over 6 years and have just been plugging along changing out the 4 filter cartridges annually and just replaced the RO membrane over a year ago. So....... time to do the annual filter change and something goes wrong after startup and my unit is NOT making water...... PROBLEM!! Got a bit upset before I decide to call their Tech support. Day 1, no answer on tech line, (find out later that the tech answer man was sick that day), but I get through to probably his boss who was headed to a meeting, but took the time to get me started with legitimate problem solving information. VERY VERY nice of him to do that... Next day, called Daniel in tech support who picked up right away and immediately I could tell that this young man was going to be a pleasure to work with. I could tell by his friendly and patient voice tone as we discussed what was possibly going on with my system. He immediately diagnosed my problem and gave me ways to get it up and back running patiently explain how the system operates based on the information I was giving him. At the conclusion of the call, he asked me to provide more information through e-mail tech support after I got my system running so he could review and fine tune what I had going. He even offered to call me that evening..........way above and beyond normal customer service. (I was happy he didn't call; had to tend to his mother...... and, I believe every one needs his or her break from work anyhow) Next day, I e-mailed Daniel asking if I could call him for some final clarifications on my system. No problem there......and when I did make that call, he took all of my final questions and made everything super clear. He even walked me through the entire water path from entering the system to its final product. I completely understand my RODI system now. I cannot thank the SpectraPure Company enough for the outstanding customer support provided by everyone who I came in contact with. This company stands behind their product and has earned my respect. Purchased the same membrane that I always do the $35 one. A couple years ago this membrane worked flawlessly and kept my TDS 10-15ppm. The new ones are no good. I couldn't get them under 40ppm. BLA BLABLA about whats going in BLA BLA BLA. Nothing has change with my water source. But what has changed is that they now offer a 99% rejection membrane. Well I was getting 98% with the old $35 one. For me 1% isn't a big deal and thats why I got a new $35 membrane. The new membrane only gave me a 92-94% rejection. Called them up. No real help with the issue. What I really think happened was they found a way to charge more. The "NEW" $35 membrane I believe is a sub-par model. And the "NEW" $60 membrane is the old $35 one with a "NEW" higher price. I now use DOW membranes with a cheaper cost and better results. read more

I received terrific service from both Daniel and everyone within the company.. Always have had a good experience every time we go to get our orders and 100% worth every dollar paid on the product. It is by far the best products on the market with a lot of thought that goes into the design and functions - yes, you may be able to buy BRS products for cheaper / overseas....but you get what you pay for. Why invest thousands on an aquarium setup but put less than stellar products behind it? You shouldn't go on the cheap-cheap on water quality products for any aquarium. You can't imagine a worst company to do business with. I have bought several units from them over the past few years usually with pretty good results. This time the unit was leaking the minute It was installed, very poor quality control on their product. It took me five days to get a person at their company to respond. It took three phone calls and several text messages. Meanwhile, I bought a better water purifying unit on Amazon and got it the next day and it was less expensive and did not leak. When I finally got through to them they apologized and I asked them for a refund and for them to send me a call tag to pick up their broken unit. I got the call tag within a week and I sent the unit back and waited for over six weeks to get my refund. Again it took several calls and several emails and I finally called my credit card company and contested the bill. Their product is not worth this type of that they aggravation. read more

So let me say this outright, these guys make the absolute best ro/di filters and membranes that I've ever used. The carbon lasts longer, removes more silicates etc and so on. I can't think of a single complaint actually, at least not about the product (or the support - these guys walked me through installing flow restrictors etc over the phone). You DO pay a premium, but it's worth it: while this carbon costs about twice what BRS charges for theirs, it lasts longer and seems to prevent diatom blooms even better. So why only three stars? Well, I'll tell you. One DI resin cartridge is 20 bucks. I can live with that. What I RESENT is being charged 20 dollars to ship that one DI resin cartridge. It seems they use flat rate shipping which is fantastic if you're routinely ordering 20 or 30 lbs worth of stuff...but for the one off order? Very rough. read more

They are the worst, I purchased a filtration system from these guys in April 2014 in worked great for one year but I've had a terrible time since I replaced the filters which I purchased from them I have not been able to get the system to work right since February of 2016 I have called them and sent emails trying to get them to help me with my system but they either don't care to help or are not smart enough to. I have purchased everything they say to fix my system to work for my family but none of their fixes have worked. So although they might have a good system save your money because they will not take care of you as a customer if you need it they just sell you the product and are done with you!!! For a family run operation the words CUSTOMER SERVICE aren't in Spectrapure's vocabulary. The owner Charles should be ashamed of his actions and those of his new employees: After doing business with Spectrapure almost 2 decades I will never use their products or company again. When I place orders with Spectrapure I have always walked in had them fill my order and I'd be on my one. Two weeks ago I called into Spectrapure for some pricing and information about some of the companies new products. A man named Brian answered and I introduced myself. I was informed Brian that sales representative Jeremy who I'd be dealing with nearly a decade was no longer with the company. I sensed an attitude in his voice the minute we got on the phone which was surprising to me as I had never spoken to him before. I then simply asked Brain a couple questions regarding some of the new products. I could tell immediately he wasn't educated or knowledgeable on any of the products I was asking about. I also sensed that every time I asked Brian another question he was becoming more and more impatient and frustrated with me. After realizing this employee was going to be of no assistance answering my questions about the new product I simply asked him speak to his boss. He told me, "I don't have a manager". I then asked if he was in charge to which he responded he was. I then told him I'd like to speak with Charles, the owner. Brian said he would have Charles call me back. I waited 6 hours without so much as a phone call. I did call back later that day and asked to speak to Charles. Brian told me, "Charles doesn't want to speak with you". Never in my entire life have I ever heard an owner tell and employee to relay a message like that to a customer. I have never been so insulted not only by Brian but now the owner Charles. I told Brian if the owner wasn't going to speak to me that I'd like him to walk into Charles office and tell him I'd be closing my account. He said he was not going to do that, then said he would be closing my account and hung up the phone on me. I have since found RO/DI media from one of the leading online resellers for filtration media. It far exceeds the quality of the Spectrapure products I'd been using for 1/3 the cost!!! Not only does this vendor appreciate me as a customer but they also value my business and go above and beyond for me. Sooooooo happy Brian turned me away from Spectrapure and allowed me to find out how much I had been overpaying for filtration media all these years later. read more

I have used this company for over 12 years until today. I called to verify stock/quantity on 2 separate items to which the associate verified in the system they were there and the quantities were available, I replied I would be in shortly or the very next morning for pickup with a reply from the associate that it was fine. The next morning I arrived as I've been doing for over a decade to find their door had no insignia on it nor hours of business unlike all the years prior. I did a quick search on google to verify they didn't move and also verify the hours of operation. At 8:04am I walked up to the door and noticed a covid sign that detailed online orders only, being that I spoke to the associate just the day prior I figured they knew of my pickup so I opened the door and was immediately met with a warehouse worker gesturing me to come in. I asked if this was still spectrapure and was told it was and that a couple of main figures had retired there. I explained my visit and was told by him the parts weren't available that they are made to order and would have to come back another time despite my long drive in. I expressed how I arranged pickup up with no other instruction regarding the "made to order" or "No in person pickup available" by the associate on the phone the day prior. I paid for one part they did have on hand and left inconvenienced, I said nothing to the lady that took my card to pay for the part and was on my way. The next day I called for another part that I figured I could have shipped to me with possibly expediting paid for on their end for my previous inconvenience, their stance was it was my fault for showing up out of the blue to get a part!! I tried several times that day and several departments to get help finally I got a phone call back from the "Warehouse Operations Manager" Nick. He proceeded to accuse me of barging into his business at 7:30am (before hours of operation) and acting belligerent and harassing/yelling at his employees to the point they felt threatened! I exclaimed surely it was a misunderstanding and couldn't possibly be me as I didn't show up till 8:04am and spoke to no one but 1 warehouse worker in a red hoodie. To make matters worse he then falsely accused me of being so belligerent on a different occasion that his wife at the time felt so threatened she had to call the cops on me! Surely at that point he was mistaking me for another individual but he claimed he was sure it was me. I instructed him to check his business cameras to verify all claims as at that point I was truly offended at the false accusations being levied and felt was due a sincere apology but I was told they don't have cameras nor do they monitor calls for quality assurance purposes. I was a patron of the company for over 12 years and if an incident like calling the cops on me took place at any point I surely wouldn't have been able to continue to pickup parts or do business with them thereafter as evident by my record of receipts. The actions and treatment of Spectrapure are downright deplorable. If this Operations Manager wanted to he could find the footage of the business park and acknowledge he was sold a lie by his employees in the effort to not take accountability for their poor customer service.
