He follows the research on what is working, and does NOT take undue risks. That means you may need to be on a slower path than your anxiousness would like, but he is making measured decisions to ensure success. This may mean some out patient procedures to prepare your body, and the like. I have a beautiful, miracle baby who is now not a baby anymore at all. We have had challenges along the way, in our case some that are very rare and unexpected, and I am always met with a compasssionate phone call from Dr. D and support from his caring team. I hear of experiences / methods from other fertility practices (in the area and in other locations) and often my response is, Dr. D would never do that! Because I know his focus is on low risk, high results. His goal is a healthy baby. He's the best.

And I was right, as soon as I met Dr. DiMattina, I knew he was my doctor! He is very experienced, professional, kind, straight forward, he doesn't waste your time, tells you exactly what he can do for you and what he can not and you know what.. if you follow his advice he makes it happen! A year later, I am pregnant now with our miracle baby boy and we couldn't be more grateful! His staff both in the Arlington but especially in the Bethesda office where I went for my monitoring visits is amazing! They are all very kind, caring and professional. I always felt well taken care of and in good hands, especially Jana, my monitoring nurse in the Bethesda office is a true angel! She was always very encouraging and kind, made my visits there very pleasant, positive and fun! And you need this kind of energy and trust when you walk this journey! I would 100% recommend Dominion Fertility to anyone walking this road, go straight to them, don't waste your time and money with other clinics, they are the state of the art fertility clinic in the capital area!

He had a terse and uncomfortable bedside manner. But what's worst of all is the way he proceeded to prod and poke without any discussion about what he was about to do or what I might experience. I asked directly him to tell me what he was going to do. To which he replied with the medical terminology and nothing else as he inserted the speculum. At one point, seated between my spread legs, he stared coldly at me, his finger poking the spot I said was hurting and told me I should be happy it's not swollen. As he left he said, "sorry if I upset you" with his back to me, opening a drawer, adding: "Here. If you need to clean yourself up." He even made me look at the swab he took. He's a creep and not trauma informed, he's not even a kind person. 0/10 Do not book with this man! He should quit practicing. I shudder to think of the countless other women he's made uncomfortable over the years. I reminded him one in four women are victims of sexual assault and in his role especially it's important to keep that in mind. What a jerk! Update--after making a formal complaint with the office manager (who was kind on the phone) I have yet to get any follow up about next steps regarding my complaint or my medical needs. After an in person meeting and follow-up appointment, my issues has been left unresolved and I acknowledged in any formal sense (1/18/26). Update--Bill in the mail, dated 1/27, threatening to send to me collections (for a $25 co-pay from a follow up visit with a different doctor) despite my receipt of payment over a week prior.

Of course some of that could've been my hormones acting up but since then they have been friendly and accommodating. I would recommend.

I'll admit it that i was just a tad bit skeptical about acupuncture in general and i had a lot of fun teasing my wife about it over the years, but i went to humor her. Imagine my surprise when the next day my elbow felt better than it had in years!!!! After a couple of more sessions it was 95% better. The worst part was that i had to eat some major crow and admit that my wife was right: Lisa is amazing. But the best part was what happened at the end of one of my sessions. Lisa casually asked me if there were any other lingering things that were bothering me. I told her that i had this annoying clogged duct in my eyelid that my ophthalmologist had determined was chronic and offered no solutions. Lisa thought for a moment and suggested that i try some dandelion tea. IT WORKED. Within just a few days it was nearly back to normal. unreal.

She's been so supportive through a natural conception I'd given up thinking was possible and throughout my pregnancy so far, and I'm very grateful for her!

He also has a very friendly and personable bedside manner, which I'm finding more and more rare with most doctors these days. He really goes out of his way to get to know his patients and make them feel comfortable. He never makes you feel rushed like some doctors, and his office is always on time with appointments which I appreciate. Most importantly, he's just a great doctor. Last year when I was pregnant I discovered I had a large ovarian cyst. The OBGYN I was seeing at the time was quick to suggest I'd need surgery when I was only a few weeks pregnant, even though my cyst was showing signs of getting smaller. I went to see Dr. Yuri for a second opinion and he ended up saving me from a risky and unnecessary surgery. He was very thorough and carefully explained all of my options to me. My second GYN only saw me once and the visit was so poor, I vowed never to return there. I met Dr. Yuri at a meet and greet physician function. I had my first visit with him in April, I had to have an "in and out" procedure" in May. He was wonderful explaining everything to me, not assuming that because I am a health care professional that I would understand everything. I was totally comfortable in his office and I was not rushed. America who works for him, is a wonderful and kind person. She is helpful and promptly responds to emails and phone calls. They are high tech; I love the use of phreesia (spelling?). What I loved and appreciated the most was that after my surgery in May, he went out and spoke to my husband, a non health care oriented person, and put him at ease. My husband's first words to me when I woke up from the procedure, "he came out and talked to me at length, he's great!" I am very thankful to have met him!

I called ahead and was told there was a 15-minute grace period. As a first-time expectant mom, these appointments mean the world to me. To be turned away after an hour of stressful driving was heartbreaking, but the attitude of the staff made it worse. The receptionists were completely unsympathetic and acted like I was a bother. A little kindness or a simple smile would have gone a long way, especially since turning me away means waiting another three weeks for an appointment. I ultimately decided not to reschedule. This experience completely ruined my trust in this practice, and I will not be returning.

They are arguing that this fee is necessary to improve services and technology, etc., which, from my perspective, should not be at the expense of patients, but a responsibility of the business owners and stakeholders who want to be in the health care system and should have a sound investment and business strategy plan instead of having clients paying for the business they want to have. Unless, they are on purpose creating a membership-like model to access OBGYN health care, to appeal to a very specific clientele, in which case, they should be transparent about it, instead of imposing such a fee under the disguise of betterment of their services, and inadvertently, rendering the services possibly discriminatory and less accessible to some extent. Either management did not put a lot of thought on this, or they did, and simply did not care. In addition, there seem to be a lot of turnover, and their licensed providers (who for the most part and in fairness, are pretty easy going), have significantly decreased from when I started going years ago. Only at the beginning I had a consistent provider but that has changed in the past 2 to 3, when I can be seen by whoever is available. Depending on who you talk to whether in billing, front desk, checkout, you may also be faced with somewhat condescending approach, but I am not sure if that is due to unprofessionalism of some of the staff, or if it is a symptom of how they are treated by business management, and they are just simply burned out, with clients and patients ending up as unintended collateral damage. Given the decline of services, providers and quality of customer service over the years, I had been considering switching practice already, but this imposition just did it for me. I rather pay more in insurance, deductible and co-pay for better services altogether, than make my health care dependable on whether I am willing to pay for what seems to be an annual membership fee, which at the end, will not guarantee better care, because it is a matter of integrity and not profitability. In my opinion, it is problematic that for a health care and medical practice the quality of services is contingent upon increasing or imposing additional costs to the patients, instead of making it a stakeholders investment and accountability.
