Horrendous experience, they use the lowest quality materials possible. they use day laborers, (who actually worked hard and got the job done,) with no company supervision. When we complained about a few of the items that we were unhappy about and wanted addressed, the owner threatened us and insulted us repeatedly and claimed that according to the contract we had to be present when the work was done,, and since we were not there we have no recourse. But I was there, they didn't know this because no one from the company was present. Giving them one star is too many. read more

If I could leave less than one star, I would. If you value workmanship, quality products, and good customer service, you will not enjoy working with spectrum. We hired them to install a fence around our property and a semi privacy fence to hide a pool utility area. after installing the wrong fence, we told them we would like to meet to discuss the issues. They suggested a time when we weren't available and we suggested times when we were. We explicitly said that we needed to talk to them prior to them repairing so there was no miscommunication. Instead of listening to us, they trespassed on our property when we weren't home and installed the incorrect fence again. This time it was even worse than before. We tried to reach out to find a reasonable solution and were met with the rude and unhelpful owner who said he approved the poor workmanship and demanded we pay the final invoice. We are very reasonable people and all we wanted was what was promised to us when we originally agreed to work with spectrum. In addition to the terrible privacy fence, the rest of the three rail fence was also constructed with damaged boards and covered in mud and spray paint. There was no pride of a job well done from this company, just a demand for money when the job was "complete". We followed all their rules outlined in their contract to try to get it all fixed and it became very clear that there crooked and sketchy. Bought a fence from them which was installed late Oct of this year. We have about 10 boards which have already warped due to the super wet lumber they installed. They told us to pound sand and they were not going to help with replacing these warped boards. They did not explain up front that pine always has a chance to warp, or we would have used a different type of wood. Upon inspection, a lot of the pine boards they used were sub par and have black marks, splitting, and other imperfections. Really upset at the unprofessional follow up and uncaring attitude now that they have our money. **They could have asked us to pay even a reasonable fee for replacing them, but the email/texts they sent were telling us they did not want to help with any follow up. I would say someone like this is not someone to give your hard earned money to. We will be looking at legal options. read more

I had a good experience when they installed my fence. They were very responsive and timely compared to other companies I had reached out to. There was a small issue/defect about a month after initial fence installation, and they came out and fixed it. They required that we have a land survey before installation. After we got the survey to show the boundary lines, they put us on the schedule about 2-4 weeks out. A year later, I reached out to them to help repair the gate/latch that was damaged by our dog. I sent them a video and pictures of the damage and they gave me an estimate of the cost also saying they would call me back to confirm when someone would be able to come out and make the repair. I didn't hear back from them and called them, and initially they mentioned someone came out which was false but immediately corrected and said they'd call me back again to confirm. I didn't hear back from them for the second time and I called again and they finally gave me a date and time which was on a Saturday between 9am-11am. Saturday comes around, there is no call no show, and their office is closed on the weekends so I couldn't get a hold of anyone. My time is basically wasted waiting around for them to come not only on Saturday but also 2 weeks since my initial contact with them. I'm stuck with a gate that won't open. I wouldn't say at this point that I would recommend them to anyone. read more

Our large homeowners association contacted Spectrum to place a bid on replacing a large area of fencing in our Community. We have not selected a vendor yet so this review is specific to the Sales/Estimator that came out rather than the company since we had such an exceptional experience with him. Travis is an extremely knowledgeable and pleasant man to work with. He was attentive to our concerns about the replacement project, was able to make thoughtful suggestions that would positively impact our project that we had not thought of, and was extremely thorough. We felt that Travis was trustworthy, has our best interest, and understood exactly what we needed. Since our project is for a large dog park it was very important for us to ensure safety, explore different products to prevent escapees, and match the overall aesthetic of the Community. He took the extra time and asked excellent questions showing he understood and was invested in making sure that we had the end result that would best serve our Association. Out of all of our bids with competing companies Travis definitely was a stand-out, not just with fencing, but with our dealings with other vendors for the multitude of projects we take on. 4/5 stars since we have yet to make a vendor selection and can not speak to the install or end result with this Company but definitely wanted to give Travis the credit that he is due for going above and beyond for the potential customer. read more

Be forewarned. This company conducts in a manner that suggests they have no interest in repeat business or referrals. Which is crazy. I have hundreds of yards of fence line. As do many of my friends and neighbors. We hired them to do a $900 job. Countless unreturned phone calls. Mix ups in when they were going to come out. Never an apology. I was 18 days late paying the final bill which was my fault. I politely apologized and asked them if they would remove the "Deadbeat" charge on the bill (seriously that is what they called it.). I was met with hostility and threats if I did not pay it in full immediately. Hard to imagine that you would care more about an insignificant fee then referrals or repeat business. Randy and Adam are not nice people. I wish I had read the other negative yelp reviews before giving them a call. read more

I agree with another review that The owner Adam Kader is not only extremely rude but unreasonable. Here is about Spectrum Fence that you should aware of: - Very low quality on both material and workmanship. - HORRIBLE customer service after they finish their job and receive the payment. - No response when you need help with issues. A lot of issues have happened within a year since they installed my fence in July 2021. I contacted them asking for help with many issues but they did not respond (I emailed, texted Adam on Jun 16,2022 but he did not respond, called the office multiple times and they just keep saying that they will send that info to Adam to take a look). When I tried to call back again 2 days later they put the phone directly to voicemail. I left a voicemail but they never called back. I called back the next day, and from that day on, they blocked my number with NO response, NO explanation, it's been a month plus 4 days until today with absolutely NO response on my request. Please consider hiring a good contractor to avoid situations like this. If I could give it no stars I would. What a horrible experience. It was my mistake to sign a contract that I had not totally read. But we had discussed it at length ad far as what I needed for my fence and I was too trusting. Live and learn. I would never trust them again. I was very specific in what I wanted to be done. And I told them that the insurance was paying for the fence to be replaced an d not patched. They patched the fence and it looks horrible. It is exactly what I did not want and they charged me so much for 3 little segments. I do not know how people can live with themselves when they do things like this. And they were supposed to let me know when they were on my property doing the repairs. And they did not. they were only there for a short time and then they did not even call me when they were done. They did a great job, Had some hiccups during the process, had to go and measure the lot three times, and the fence had to be redone because a pool city code, thankfully it was caught early and they were able to fix the mistake in a day, Price was reasonable and I have not had any issues after they finished, they were very responsive from the beginning and their wait time was not bad at all. read more

Hello my fellow Yelpers...so I wanted a fenced in back yard to add additional security, not so much for decor, but I ordered a nice clean look since I had to get one. They were very nice, came out to give me a quote and emailed my estimate to me shortly after, which included a fence and a stain job. I got 3 quotes altogether, so I went with the most affordable for me, leading me to Spectrum. The day came for them to start, I sent in my deposit. The guys came out, installed my fence, I was working at the time, so I had to periodically step outside while they were working. For the most part, everything was going well. I told the worker where I wanted adjustments, such as filling in some of the gaps, some of the wood was toooo spaced out, it wasn't leveled right, and I didn't care for the locks they used. They filled the gaps and brought the wood closer while I was there, but the remaining items, they failed to do. I was then missing work to go back and forth to discuss it with them, so in my mind, I figured I'd reach out to the rep I started out with. Called him up, left a message, he called right back...he sounded as though he was genuinely going to follow-up, I sent photos, reached out that evening, then again about a week later, but no response. It's been about 2 months since then, haven't heard a word. I'm really not a fan of chasing down work, so I haven't reached out anymore. Their office never followed back up on my stain quote either, which I mentioned to the rep that I was still interested in getting that day and the second time I called. I actually would've been okay had he checked it out and said there was nothing that could be done, but they just moved on. I would say if you're looking for a quick, cheap job to be done, it'll probably be okay, but I just need communication with people I hire, it goes a long way in being satisfied with the work. We have more work to be done for our HOA and other homeowners have been asking for referrals, so I'll just have to reach out to another company to do the work and give them my stain job as well. Hate leaving sub par reviews, but hey that's my experience, I will certainly post the company I do recommend. read more

Do not use this company! The owner Adam Kader is not only extremely rude but unreasonable. We had a wooden fence installed 6 months ago. Before we paid the remaining deposit, we called the office to report deficiencies. (The fence was shaking for starters) the office literally told us it's normal and to "let it settle" but would send someone out. We were never notified when someone came out and this dragged on for months. He finally sent a tech to come out to meet us when we were there, and he came back to make repairs but only addressed one issue despite the multiple issues from this sub-standard job. We are now left with nails sticking out, cracked slats, detached wood, slats that don't even match, and a door that has a 2 inch gap. The rude owner said we were past the time to complain! however, he made it very difficult for us to request the repairs in the time allowed. We will have to get a whole new fence now. Spectrum Fencing redid exterior fencing in our community. there estimate had close to 300' of fencing on my property they stated needed to be replaced. in walking the fenceline with our association President( who had asked for the estimate), we agreed that NOT ONE FOOT OF MY FENCING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED! I specigo ally asked our President to relay that information to the company before the work was done .in addition, I POSTED a message ON OUR FENCE STating they were NOT to replace any of the fencing all the way to our border! I came home weeks later to find they had removed the entire fence! when they got finished, they had NOT replaced the wire that was there ! it took them forever to come back to put the wire on. Spectrum Fence recently installed a wrought iron (steel) fence in our backyard. Please read this review before you consider doing the same. The project started off on a good footing. Adam came out to give a quote and quickly gave us a price and told us they could start in two weeks. That's where things started going downhill. Once we paid the 50% deposit we were told they actually couldn't schedule for 4-5 weeks. When we pushed back they said they needed to order a custom gate and it would take at least 3 weeks. After 3 weeks, on the day before the scheduled installation they called us to let us know they forgot to custom order the gate we needed and we could either take a smaller gate or wait another 4 weeks for them to order. This fence is designed to keep our toddler out of the pool so we were feeling some time pressure and decided to go forward against our better judgement. On the day of installation the crew did a fairly mediocre job. Several brackets were installed crooked, one gate was not installed level. Two of the gates scrape the concrete when opened. One of the concrete footings had giant cracks in it. They did not paint over the cut ends of the fencing so we'll likely have rust issues in the future. When my wife called to point these things out she was told that she was a "difficult customer" and if we wanted those things fixed they would need to schedule it 4-6 weeks out and charge us a trip charge. All of this came to a head last week when I tried to turn on my irrigation system for the first time. Turns out the installation crew cut 4 wires from my system and never told me. They also nicked some in-ground romex for an outlet and tried to do a very haphazard repair with electrical tape. Super dangerous around a pool. Please consider hiring a contractor that takes more pride in their work and has more respect for their customers. There are plenty out there. read more

This company is extremely unprofessional, does not want to fix anything that is not done properly (actually said it does not matter if the hardware on the gate is not straight as long as it is functional... what?!), does not answer emails or phone calls once they have been paid, are rude to customers, etc...... DO NOT USE THEM! Their price was good, but I would have rather paid more and dealt with someone who was good, professional, and deserving of the business.
