Rather then listening to symptoms and providing a compassionate approach to treatment (ex. ordering tests, ruling out potential root causes, etc.), or alternatively referring her to someone who could truly help diagnose her, Helen apparently "has her own method of healthcare" which is essentially dismiss the patient's inputs, do NOT seek to attain additional relevant medical information, and brush off the patient and their family. Following an initial rather underwhelming initial visit related to these new symptoms, my father tried to provide additional medical history to help with a diagnosis. Helen told them that she would not order additional tests, despite their inputs, did not appreciate my father providing the additional information, and that their desperation in seeking her help was making her feel uncomfortable. My mother and father are in their 70s-80s. This was extremely shocking for both of them, and they felt betrayed, particularly given the history that my mom had with Helen. No care or compassion given, just dismissal. So much for the Physician's Oath... There are a lot of great options in Prescott for primary care. Do NOT go to Paslay Health Care.

Billing is horrible. I was seen on May 11th, it's now June 9th, and nothing has been billed to my Insurance. I called office, and was told the claim was sent. I called my Insurance they said nothing has been received. I then wrote an email to the office, and was sent a copy of some fax as "proof" that they sent my claims. However, the fax does not has the name or phone number to whom it was sent. It only says "claims", and my info. LOL. What a joke. Needless to say I was told in the email to contact my Insurance again, so I did, still nothing. Gaslighting at it's finest or they sent it to the wrong place. LOL. I was also waiting on a referral. In that same email I was told that they faxed the referral to said doctor. I called that doctors office, and they do not have any referral from this office. Again, I was told by the office staff that it was sent on May 18th via fax, if that were true then the doctor's office would have it. Maybe they faxed it, but not to the right place. That's what you get when you have one person doing multiple jobs. The front desk lady is also the medical assistant. It's no wonder this is a mess!

I was confused on what I owed so I called the number on the bill multiple times and never received a call back I also called the office and they took messages for billing. Finally I received a call stating that I was paying for something from almost a year ago! I don't remember any outstanding bills being mentioned when I visited before?!? I have decided to move myself to a place that doesn't have an extra fee to establish and then has a mixed up billing system run by people who won't communicate. I have excellent insurance and have always paid my bills on time. The practice seems ok, nothing special but the billing system is very concerning as well as the extra fee. If you let it right 15-20 times or more, you may get an answer from someone at a call center not in the US. Their English skills are variable. Messages I've left with them are sometimes relayed to the office, sometimes not. Or the message might be relayed but whoever you can get to answer the phone at the office says they have not received that message. The office also says that they do not receive requests from my pharmacy (2 different pharmacies, on two separate occasions) for refills. The pharmacy tells me they have tried to contact the office but get no response. I have tried valiantly to get to the bottom of this situation but I can't get a satisfactory answer. More than once I've driven to the office out of frustration because they do not answer their phone. On one of these occasions a person (patient) waiting in the office overheard what I was saying and came up to me and said "I've had the same problem as you. I'm here to get a refill, then I'm leaving this office and never coming back." I have tried to get ahold of IMS in Phoenix and could get no further than the person who answered the phone. I asked to speak to the practice manager and was told there was not such a person on the staff. I explained my situation and was given a name of someone who was supposedly the "office manager" but was not given their number or transferred to them. Basically I was stonewalled. On my own, I googled the name I was given and tracked a person down that was connected to IMS. I found an email address and wrote her a detailed email explaining what I'd been going through. I gave her my contact information. I never received a response (this is over 1 month ago.) Finding a PC doctor in Prescott is very difficult. As I said, I really like my doctor at this practice, (Dr.Christensen) but if you decide to engage him, please be aware of the office issues I've described.

However, in initially meeting with Dr. Nash and showing him my x-rays, he didn't recommend spinal decompression to me, because it's not covered by insurance and would cost me $2,000 per session)! What a refreshing surprise to find a Chiropractor who was not "all about the money", which lead me to returning for my new patient consultation in December. Work and the snowy condition (I have a motorcycle) have prevented me from returning, but I hope too soon!
