Tried canceling my internet for over 2 months. Finally talked to Andrew in Texas and he offered me a deal for cable, internet, and phone. So I took it. Was supposed to b$145 wound up being $160 and they wanted me to pay for the internet I canceled 2 months ago. So instead of $145 it wound up being around $250. Their internet service sucks, and they don't listen and they lie. So I cancelled it all and now they sent me a bill for $75. lol they're not accredited with the BBB. That says it all! Worst customer service and by looking at the reviews most have had similar experiences . I've been a long time customer 15+ years. I only have had internet with them due to them constantly increasing their fees after promotions end was ridiculous!! I recently noticed that my bill had great increased, my 9 yr old son subscribed to the most expensive package without my knowledge at the end of August. I don't always look at my bills each month because it's only $34 that was my mistake. I attempted to dispute but they said it out of the window. I signed up for Spectrum Cable, Internet and phone after a disappointing experience with Directv/Century Link. There are not a lot of options in my area for TV/Internet but let's be honest that's how it is across the country. There is no competition in the marketplace and that's how cable companies like it. Bad service all around. The tv service isn't bad. I actually like that Spectrum has a 24 hour local/national news service they run themselves called Spectrum News 1. It's an interesting concept and one well. It's high speed Internet is high speed. My brother and I have been working from home due to the corona virus situation and we both are using the Internet for work purposes at the same time and my mother can use the Internet on her iPad and we do not have any issues with slow down or losing connection. The hardware for the cable is a bit old fashioned. Unlike Comcast my old provider back on Florida it has not voice remote, and it's on demand service requires u to search by slowly typing in the name of the show. Yeah they need to update that badly. The installation was a disaster. The guy seemed like he didn't want to do the job. Almost canceled on me when he was at the door. Unlike Comcast the guy didn't even staple the cable hook up running in my wall to the wall to make it look decent. I didn't have time to review his work because of my cat. I have a cat named lynx which I love. She was disoriented because of my recent move and you have to be careful because your animals can get lost if they just move to an area. I told the installer not to enter a room without telling me and if he needs to tell me. I also told him not to leave the entrance to my house open. What did he do? Yup the opposite! He even told me he saw the cat leave my room from what happened... did nothing. What followed was hours of looking for my cat in the neighborhood! I was worried and sad. I thankfully found her but I was pissed off this happened. Cable companies are more or less the same no matter the company or where you are it seems. read more

Poor service, rates out of control and long waits when calling spectrum. In the past 2 years had to get them to come out for problems with TV and wifi problems. Still having minor problems. It feels a bit like piling on but... The cost of wifi increased substantially over the 8 years I had the service. I finally started shopping around for better and less expensive service. When I decided to switch, I called Spectrum to cancel my service and I told the CSR why I was cancelling. The CSR did not offer other plans or service but just took my information and said "goodbye." I received a confirmation of cancellation of service that same day. However, "that day" was 5 days into the billing cycle. Yesterday I received an invoice from Spectrum for the full month of December. i called Spectrum and was told that I was billed for the full month even though my service was cancelled 5 days into the billing period. When I objected, I was told to read my invoice which states that charges are not prorated. So, Spectrum cancelled my service and then proceeded to charge me for the 26 days of that month that it was not providing service. Also, the CSR with whom I spoke about cancelling the service said nothing about being charged for the full billing period. Had they done so, I would have timed the cancellation so as not to have "donated" nearly a full month's charge to Spectrum. It adds insult to injury. I will never use Spectrum again for anything and will recommend that no else ever use Spectrum. read more

If i could, i would rate no stars. My significant other went to Spectrum to inquire about a cable/ internet/cellphone package. They conned him into buying a $400 Samsung Galaxie (he didnt want). HE WANTED a flip phone. They listened to our chosen package. Then installed an expensive package we dont want and wont watch. When my SO complained, he was told they cant give us what we want. The cable converter is faulty. The closed captioning didnt work. TWICE technicians have been out AND CLOSED CAPTIONING STILL DOESN'T WORK! I AM DEAF. I REQUIRE CLOSED CAPTIONING! I just spent over an hour on the phone with this horrible service provider. My Wifi has not worked in over a year. Drops over 75 per day. After calling service every few months to come look at the cable and system, they just come replace the modem and tell me the signal is great. I bought hundreds of dollars worth of routers and mesh systems to try to help but in the end it turns out it was a filter they never installed on the back of the modem they rent me. I simply asked for some credit for the year plus that I had unusable wifi and they said they could credit me $20. I pay over $220 every month for this crappy cable bundle. read more

One of the worst companies to do business with. Time Warner Communications wrapped in a new name. Same crappie customer experience. Service is highly unreliable and pray it doesn't rain or snow. Every visit will end with a technician saying you need new connectors, lines, equipment, or the problem is "somewhere down the line from you". Once you have overpaid for connections that can't reach near their true potential and have struggled with service calls every 6 months the entire time you have it they let you know in the end they are a subscription based company. So you leave in the middle of the month you still have to pay them a full month of service. Nice tip for them on the way out the door. Good luck to those of you that have them as your only choice. Their digital signal is poor...always buffering and freezing. I cannot order movies because it either freezes or the voice gets out of sync. Their services go out completely in bad weather. I called to cancel the cable after the bill went up 40 dollars, so they increased my wifi amount. read more

Very Poor Value! For $188 a month, I get Internet, Phone (which is never used but if canceled, my rate increases) and 120 channels on 1 Device. A keynote with Spectrum is that they will not let you stream cable to your mobile devices! This is so archaic. I cannot watch HGTV, ESPN, or Fox News on my laptop using my Spectrum account, yet all the satellite companies and ISPs like TSC or Frontier allow you to extend your service through mobile devices. At this point in time, I cannot recommend this lousy, out of touch company. read more

My father recently passed away, and my mother cannot afford a $180 bill for cable, Internet and a phone, so we stopped in to see if we could get a smaller package. The two employees who tried to help us were very compassionate and understanding, but weren't able to do much because of the useless, mean, and unprofessional lady who was managing that day. She was incredibly condescending, obviously didn't know anything, and made my mom cry. I asked her what our options were, and she arrogantly stated that the only other package, which costed $108 and had around 10 channels, was our only option. She started to implement it without our permission when I told her that obviously our only option was to bring our business elsewhere, but the nice lady that was under her stopped her from moving forward with it. She treated us like we were cheap morons. When we told her to stop, she said "Well, isn't this what you want? You told me that you wanted to save money." $108 for 10 channels?!?! What a ripoff!!! Later that night, we got a deal with DirecTV that has every channel that my mom wants, Internet, and phone for only $80 a month. So we are now getting more product for $100 less. The guy who helped us said that he daily signs new customers who are disgruntled with Time Warner. So stay away from them! read more

We have been with Spectrum for almost four years. We've had 13 service calls to attempt to make the Wi-Fi work at the speed we purchased (which I question if Spectrum even has this capability as we paid for the highest speed available but consistently does not meet our needs). The service men are prominently incompetent and failed to "fix" the problem. Today, my wife received a voice mail threatening to cut off our services unless we paid an "extra fee" of $80. Let me reiterate, we have sent Spectrum our monthly payment for the past 3 yrs & 9 months. I contacted a Spectrum representative who attempted to explain that they charge for the month ahead, therefore, they needed to double the bill. WHAT????? I explained to the rep. that we have sent them a payment when they send us the bill to which he again, attempted to confuse me with how their billing process works and somehow that makes it Ok to charge us a double payment for some ????? reason. I have been a customer of Time Warner Cable for many years. When TWC changed to Spectrum that is when all the trouble began especially raising all their rates on cable, internet & phone. Last year I was paying $107.00 a month for standard + basic cable + the lowest speed internet. Last month, May 2019, I discovered to my chagrin my bill increased from $107.00 per month to $126.77 per month. REALLY? I am on a fixed income & I just turned 67 which automatically qualifies me as a "senior citizen". Since I'm still considered being under the TWC banner & not Spectrum, I'd have to shut everything off & then become part of Spectrum to even try to get a better cable/internet deal....I live in an apt bldg. where cable/satellite dishes are NOT permitted. My only solution thus far is to pay as much as I can on each monthly bill so the following monthly bill wont be gigantic. SHAME ON YOU SPECTRUM FOR YOUR OUTRAGEOUS PRICES & YOUR GREED TO ROB FROM THE ELDERLY/SENIOR CITIZENS & having the arrogance to keep raising your prices annually or shutting off peoples cable services entirely even if people make as many addtional payments as they can to their current cable bills even after the due dates. Spectrum has not only raised their rates astronomically, but their reps are rude and won't even try to work with the ex Time Warner customers. I too am a widow on social security, and my information is on their computer. I pay my statement 2 to 3 weeks ahead, and have always been a model customer. But I have had nothing but service problems with internet, phone and cable. I am a stroke patient, and also have several other health problems, so yesterday when I was told my monthly cost was going up next month by almost $40. $174.00 a month is just ridiculous. The reps have posted my payments to wrong account numbers, made me cry, have been rude, and just plain dumb about the services and how it works. I write down reps names, make notes and do everything I can, just to tell me the next month when I call, I was lied to by the last rep. I'm looking for another service provider as well. Time Warner Cable (Spectrum) on Elida Road has given me the WORST customer service that I have received ever! To start with this company has two accounts under my telephone number; one is my account and one is for someone who lives close by. I called to have this resolved and it has still not been fixed. I have had my identity stolen and used to open an account through time Warner cable before. I had to call around and file a report and after doing so I would still receive phone calls for a bill that was not even mine. It literally took three years for the phone calls to stop, even though I filed a report early on the first year, and the process ruined my credit. I can not understand how this company can so easily allow something like this to happen. I find that Time Warner Cable has lax policies on protecting our identities and private information. Further more I had a deeply exhausting and troubling incident take place this week. I called for an extension on the payment of my bill on February 1, 2017 and was granted the extension until February 6, 2017. On February 2, 2017 my internet, phone, and television were shut off. I had no way to contact any one or to use the computer for various important needs. So in short I was carelessly lied to and treated to a hassling two days to get my services back on. My daughter does online Kindergarten classes through K12 and must have internet access to complete and log her work each week day. Due to the employees of Time Warner Cable not giving sufficient attention or thought to avoiding harm or errors my young daughter now has to do double the school work over the weekend. This has frustrated her and I because we had to work late into the night and still have more work to do until she is caught up. Further more still, and as though all these troubles were not enough for a life time, When I showed up to Time Warner Cable on Elida Road the place was packed completely full all the way out the door with angry customers. the atmosphere was tense with annoyance and constant upset complaints from all who stood in line. Despite being jam-packed within the building the person in charge decided to close two lanes leaving only one desk open and four employees watching on as though they were at some sort of sporting event and they themselves were the spectators while we the disheveled customers something to be watched spoken to or treated with disrespect or scornful abuse. A very upset woman in the front of the line explained that by switching to spectrum she had lost many shows including nickelodeon and is now paying over two-hundred dollars. The woman was near tears and demanded the problem to be fixed, but instead of the manager firmly telling this poor woman that she would fix the problem right away as she should have, she loudly and quite nastily shouted at the older woman to calm down and get out! The actions of the staff literally shook the rattled customer and she looked naturally embarrassed to be yelled at in front of so many people. The woman stammered that she refused to leave and that they would fix her problem. I was so upset at the treatment of this woman that I wanted to leave right then and there but I did not; but in fact many people did leave either because of the long wait or the belittling way the customers were being spoken to either way they knew they were going to get no where. At this point we all felt we were going no where fast and people in the back were shouting that they had places to be, or that they just needed a remote, or they just wanted to pay their bill. Others still waited patiently to relay complaints of their own. During the madness and still with one lane open, I was surprised to witness an employee leave, while announcing loudly so that all could hear her, that she "would be back", only to retrieve her McDonald's drink from the back and cheerily suck down the contents in front of all of us. What did she have to be concerned about after all in the midst of this chaos, she was getting paid to do nothing and enjoy a show of angry customers. In short Time Warner Cable (Spectrum) has an insulting and offensive way about them and I am seriously considering leaving this company forever. read more
