I had service for about 2 years and it was great at first. I didn't have any issues with it but once I upgraded my cell phone, it went down hill from there. First issue was that when I upgraded my phone, I was never sent anything via email to return my phones. So I eventually forgot about it until my sister suddenly realized that we never received any emails from Spectrum. So I called and was told that basically they had sent it, which was a lie. I didn't receive a return label from them at all. I was also told that I was responsible for paying the full amount for the phones and that they weren't responsible for this mistake. I have internet/tv/phone. The only thing that I've had any luck with is the phone. They keep sending out technicians who look in my basement at the cables and tell me everything looks good. I keep losing internet, so my tv service won't stay connected. I contacted support tonight, and this time they told me they can't send out a technician because their system is down. The largest internet company, and you guys can't do the only job you have. Having a manager contact me tomorrow. Short of a HUGE credit, there is nothing they can say to me that will convince me that the service is worth it. But now that I have to switch EVERYTHING I will have to go to my bank, adjust my direct deposit, and cancel all of my services through spectrum before signing up for new services through a new provider. What a headache! SPECTRUM IS UNRELIABLE UNLESS YOU ARE RELYING ON THEM TO FAIL. Also, a little side note. If you do get conned into signing up, refuse the Zumo box or whatever. First of all there are far better internet tv boxes you can buy for a lot cheaper than $60. Returning mine to spectrum was a nightmare. Worst internet provider in the country. I have outages literally every day and have had technicians come like 5 times now to try to fix it, except after asking around it's not me that's the problem, it's just spectrum. I pay for 600mbs/s and get about 20 mbs/s ON A GOOD DAY. My internet goes out for about 4 hours every day. I live in a major city, so it's not as though I'm in the countryside. My neighborhood forces us to get Spectrum but at this rate I'd rather pay the neighborhood fines every month than deal with this ISP a single moment longer. I would recommend Spectrum to literally nobody. I hope all their servers get eaten by rats, they go bankrupt, and the world is finally free of their fetid influence. I could hand a sewer rat a single circuit board and it would provide better internet than this shambling abomination of corporate apathy and neglect. I wish I could sue them for every penny they've ever taken from me. If I were a less kind person, I'd call them directly to complain, but the underpaid service workers don't deserve that, and probably suffer much more than me having to work for such a feces-infested, plagued workplace. If I could rate a 0/10, I would. Do not get Spectrum internet. Do not look at Spectrum internet. Do not think about Spectrum internet. They should be abandoned by the world and left to rot. If you can't tell, I've been in an outage for about 6 hours now, as I am pretty much every day. Got to be the worst internet provider in the U.S. I only choose them when they are the only option at a given address. They always have connectivity issues and reduced speeds at busier times (for instance around 6:00 pm when everyone gets off work and comes home to use their home internet). They never admit they are the problem. Most recently I called to cancel my service. I told the representative I already had a new internet provider at my new place. First, they put me on hold for 20 minutes just to come back with "thank you for waiting I have discovered deals for you to stay with Spectrum." Hey, dog, I already told you I have a new provider, and now you have wasted 20 minutes of my life. Then the representative collected some more information, apparently necessary information to cancel my service, or so she said, and put me on hold AGAIN for 30 more minutes before she hung up on me! I mean jeezus I know they are a company that wants to make money but where is the humanity. So i call back, I get a different guy, I explain what happened, that I am frustrated and only want cancel my service. Homeboy hits me with, one sec let me put you on hold to see if we can find a deal to keep doing business with you. I said WAIIIIIT. Luckily he did. Company sold "Spectrum Intelligent Home" security services then decided they will no longer support their security department and shut it down in spite of customers having purchased literally THOUSANDS of dollars worth of security equipment that this company then refused to refund. Sean R. Dealing with Spectrum has been a maddening experience for my mother. She wanted to switch service from Verizon and so ordered cable and phone service from Spectrum, only to have a technician tell her that Verizon owns her phone number and there's nothing they can do. She lugged the box down the Spectrum office, where another employee assured her that everything was fine, but today another tech showed and told her that Verizon owns her phone number and there's nothing Spectrum can do. So she's given up and will try to get a better deal from Verizon. For Poughkeepsie, at least, this is apparently the best the free market can do. Pretty sad. read more

Horrible experience. Told by representative that account transferred from Mom (after passed away) to my name so Dad, who is elderly and disabled could have phone and TV. Nothing was done correctly. Spent hours on phone, place on hold by each representative for a ridiculous amount of time and Dad still has no service. I hope that customer service reads this and helps. Terrible service. Inept technicians. Disinterested customer service. When the technician came to install internet, he left without connecting to my home wireless and disconnected my Directv. Two separate calls to customer support were ineffective. A second technician came out, was late and was also unable to resolve either problem. Stated we needed a new cable run through the yard to the street which he could run that night but would not be buried until the following week. We told him we no longer wanted service and requested he take the equipment with him. He did not. When I called to cancel service there was no apology. I had to pay Directv to come fix our system- will be sending Spectrum the bill. read more

I have not had a full month's service with TWC since I moved in. After endless service calls one tech took the time to look at everything. Bottom line I needed a new ground wire. I was told I had to wait due to weather. My cable, phone, and internet worked intermittently for over 11 months and I was told I could not receive credit for the services I paid for that didn't work until the problem was resolved. After waiting 11 months for a new ground wire I was offered $154.03 credit. It is an INSULT after I have paid over $1,500 in the past 11 months only to be slapped in my face and told $154.03 is all the credit they will give.I will use my credit to get DISH in place. from the moment I started this service it has been nothing but problems. the day my cable was installed the cable guy was so hard flirting that not only did he get my name wrong he put down the wrong apartment . to make matters worse when my neighbors cable was installed time warner cable shut my service off. when I called to have my cable fixed the representative insured me the problem would be taking care of. the problem was never taken off and they created another account on my name then once they were suppose to credit my account for the mistake. when calling to pay what I was told I owe. they tried to charge me way more and come up with a bunch of hidden charges read more

Incredibly annoying and incompetent service people staff the telephone service lines at Time Warner. I have lost half a day of work and spent countless hours trying to fix an e-mail problem they caused by giving me bad advice, all to no avail. Everyone is polite, but there is zero accountability built into the system, so no one is invested in helping me. A complete nightmare. I've been hung up on twice and promised three callbacks that never came. The technicians who come ot the house are great -- efficient and nice -- but even they are up against serious organizational issues (having to call other techs to have basic parts delivered from miles away, etc.). If Time Warner has any redeeming characteristics as a company, they're hiding them extremely well. read more

If I could give NO stars I would. My business account was deleted with no notice for 36 hours - after many many phone calls and using a contact I had with a board member finally I got some action. I was told it could not be resurrected and was without a BUSINESS email account for 36 hours. After maybe 40 phone calls it was forwarded to a new email address. My may concern was THEIR lack of communication about the status and it seemed no one was concerned. Everyone said it was unfortunate but not many techs cared. If I could I would move to a new provider as this company is unprofessional and has a complete lack of customer service. Went into Poughkeepsie office and the person waiting on me was useless. She said that I was being charged for higher speed internet and I didn't have right modem for this. My response was what????I have been charged for something I didn't even have? She suggested that I call Spectrum billing and speak to them about being reimbursed for the overcharge nothing she can do. She also insisted that I take the new modem. Went home and called. I HATE them. Anyways, they double talked and said I wasn't overcharged, and by the way I will get charged for now having 2 modems, the one already hooked up and the new one Rachel instated that I take. So I then went to Kingston Spectrum office, where they are nice and polite and knowledgeable. Had to wait on line for 35 minutes, just to return that new modem. another problem I had was he went downstairs it's their time and again he wants to speak with the maintenance crew and I couldn't figure out why when he supposed to be up here working on getting me service with their carrier and this is how they want to promote themselves , he comes back and I told him I needed to ask him a few questions about my TV and he said oh you're going to have to go through manual because I know nothing about that and I said OK and I didn't have any cash on me to give him a tip which I always tip and he didn't even deserve one so he said just go in and the survey and give me a nine and I said now I'll give you a 10 he said no don't do that because they only read single digits and it will give me a zero i'm not stupid I knew that already I still had to ask if you questions but he told me that he was already running behind on other jobs and then I realize that's why he was going so quick I'm doing my installation I don't care if you're an hour behind or two hours behind you do your job and you take care of my insulation how it's supposed to be done but yet he had time to go down a fourth time to the maintenance people and come back and tell me that the reason why he was going down there was because last time he was here he left the latter but he never left with one I went downstairs and I saw him bullshitting with them when he was supposed to be up here doing his job read more
