I have been a spectrum internet customer for almost 16 years. I have paid them tons of money and I have never received the services I pay for. I have had dozens of techs come to my home, one even ran a new line, however I continue to receive way less than half of the speeds that are advertised on the plan I pay for. Today I am receiving 0.10% of my upload speed I pay for. I have spent countless hours of my life communicating with them via chat, on the phone, the physical store, and even having numerous techs inside my home. Nothing ever gets resolved. I've spent hours trying to setup tv service in my home. Only to be told Sony tvs can't get the spectrum app, would have been nice to know when I signed up. On one of our compatible tvs downloading the free apps (paramount+, Hbomax, Hulu Disney). The chat line was worthless, today I finally reached a real person, and I've been on hold for 31 minutes and counting, I could have driven to a spectrum store in less time. Final time to get a question answered 57 minutes. All my questions should have been answered while I was signing up. Poor, poor customer service, but to be fair the final person I waited 50 some minutes to talk with was very nice. read more

These people will put you on a higher priced WiFi plan without letting you know. I signed up for the basic $30 WiFi plan they offered. Checked a few weeks later and they had me on the $40 WiFi Premier plan. With all the other reviews and shady things about spectrum I have been reading this was definitely on purpose. The fact that they hound you to buy a higher speed WiFi service when you persistently tell them what you want makes this clear as well. Don't waste your time with spectrum they are horrible. There are plenty of horror stories from reviews I have read from this company scamming their customers. Getting rid of them tomorrow. read more

Horrible customer service, they know no more than the customer does when dealing with high ping and WIFI outages. Spectrum in general is a horrible WIFI Service. Constant outages and high pings when gaming. If you are looking to get a constant low ping and no outages then Spectrum is not for you. Do some research. Maybe fix your ISP and you would get more people signing on your crappy WIFI bundles. I cannot wait to switch, I should of done more research before getting WIFI with them. read more

Spectrum mobile (in general and only partially this store) deserves less than one star for what they have put me thru. Will keep brief-wanted to merge my number with my fiancés account. They screwed it up and I went three weeks without cell coverage and spent many hours with them to fix. Now several months later they inexplicably reopened my previously closed account and starting billing my credit card again. I called and canceled, and my cell coverage ceased yet again. They are opening a "ticket" and will get back to me within three days. Don't bother Spectrum. I will be with another carrier by then, and so will my fiancé and her son. read more

We called last week to have internet installed. They said they'd ship the equipment to be here on Monday. And we install ourselves! We've called everyday as it is Thursday and still no equipment delivery. So they told us to go to this location and pick it up. I go there. Wait in line for 45 minutes and am told they don't have a router for me so I can come back hours later as if I have NOTHING else to do. So I am supposed to pick up my own stuff, install myself, and what do you actually do? I've been a "customer" for less than a week, and now I'm not. Completely useless and inept workers, made an appointment to get to store and walking were given prior, what exactly was the purpose of my appointment? Spectrum rep for my apartment complex (in Shiloh) informed me that if I scheduled service with him, there would be no set up fee and no installation fee. Also was "super nice" as he wanted me to get phone service with Spectrum, claiming I had 30 days to switch. When I called Spectrum because they had install time wrong, the line asked me if I was calling about the device that was mailed to me. I didn't order a device. I spoke to rep who indicated that rep was not truthful with me, that phone automatically starts after 15 days, which I did not want. I questioned it twice, and was assured both times I had 30 days. They asked me if I was inquiring about my IPhone 13. I have a Samsung Note. So the spectrum rep combined my info with another's info on my account and PLACED HER CREDIT CARD ON MY ACCOUNT. I got a bill for $95. $65 install fee and $29.99 bill. When I had called to advise set up time was wrong, I inquired about a $50 statement credit I qualified for online. I mentioned to the rep on the phone who notated it. I spent 45 minutes first time speaking to fraud department. Then 60 minutes 2nd time after bill. Was told they were putting in for a credit for $65 install fee (I had to plead my case that I was told it would be free), and give me the $50 statement credit. I again got another bill for $29.99. I called and said I should have a $50 credit, and was informed that was not approved despite me having proof from the reps cell phone, who they verified truly was a Spectrum employee and they said, they were sorry, I did not qualify for the $50 credit, despite the rep lying to me and telling me I would get an e-card after 3 months of on time payments when I text him and inquired about $50 credit. I complained and asked for a manager who repeatedly indicated there was nothing he could do despite me reading off the texts from the rep. I asked to send in screen shots, to which I was told there was no e-mail. I said what can I do? He said you can try and go into a store and see what they will do for me. I said why would a store do anything if you are a manager at the corporate office. Continued to be shut down stating there was nothing they could do. So to recap 1) Lied about Install Fee 2) Got time incorrect for install 3) Lied about $50 statement credit 4) Lied about 30 days and phone service 5) Put someone else's email/name/and CREDIT CARD on my account 6) Mysteriously stopped responding to my texts 7) Spectrum management refused to give me $50 offer for new customer's (where I guess you have to sign up on line). I said, well then I would have cancelled his lying order and placed my own. 8) Spent almost 3 hours on the phone over numerous phone called to be denied. 9) Only me with a cell phone and computer and my internet lags. 10) HORRIBLE MISTAKE!!!!! HORRIBLE SERVICE. MANAGEMENT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN HIS DATA BREECH AS ENOUGH TO GIVE ME A $50 CREDIT AND THEY BETTER HOPE THAT HE DID NOT PUT MY CREDIT CARD ON HIS ACCOUNT, OR SOME LOCAL OFFICE IS NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY THE DAY I WALK IN THAT DOOR. The staff were very respectful to everyone in the store. They were also vey cooperative and helped me with what I needed.

No stars if I could give them. Haven't had the service a month and the cable box is defective or they messed up the installation and can't get anyone to come out to fix it. They lied about sending a technician out and claimed missed appt even though they never showed up or called. For as much as they want to charge for crap service. read more

I left them after I had them for month as nd the computer and tv would not work 4 of the managers came out it never worked I lost mon ed y from loss of computer working. But fifty the last years I get over 4 calls a week as skiing m ed to come back. I am on a do not call list. I call the head quarters they say they label me as do not call or mail to. I get mailers every month. This harrassment I didn't charge them for the business I lost without computer for as month. They need to stop the harrassment. read more

These mfers are shady as he77. They say they notify you of price increase for services (mine was jacked up 33%) but I've never received notification. Also, they do not honor their agreements for service negotiation IN WRITING. They arbitrarily tack on additional charges that supposedly "weren't included in the agreement" like wifi on the service you already receive. read more

I went into the store 2 hours before they closed. I finally got to talk to a person 15 minutes before they closed which I had to purchase a phone then have them help me set it up . I had 3 bored kids with me . I had a few questions but I thought that is what they were there for. Too make a long story short they rushed me out the door and my phone isn't set up and I can't even make a phone call. Terrible service read more
