Adding addition review: They threatened my family with Fraud Charges because THEIR service rep came to OUR house to see about updating our existing service. And SPECTRUM is the one charging US fraudulently with services we don't even receive. And the bill will be rising 30 more dollars. Which will almost take up one half of my monthly income. Terrible customer service. Darrell could not have been nicer as he was signing me up for things I did not want or order. He told me I need to return the additional equipment I did not order however he can't take it, UPS takes it. He gave me instructions that were so ridiculous I was embarrassed for him. Today I drove to Ashtabula to change my service to internet only. They took the extra equipment and gave me a receipt. Prices go up each year. There are 'no promos for existing customers'. Any promises they make when you sign up goes out the window once you're a paying customer. Internet service is spotty, for no apparent reason such as weather conditions. Customer service is a quite poor, the female I spoke with could care less about my inquiry and was quite dismissive regarding if I left Spectrum. I do not recommend Spectrum. Spectrum is the worst! Cable prices are RIDICULOUS and half the time I don't even have services! My internet goes out CONSTANTLY and when it does happen to work it's SO slow! It's been 2 days now that I haven't had WiFi. WHAT AM I PAYING FOR??? A technician is "supposed" to be out today to fix it but we'll see. After having Spectrum for over 2 years now I will say that IF it were possible to receive other cable services from a different company in my area I WOULD do so! I think it's unfair that I'm most places only one cable company services an area so you really have no choice other than to go with that company if you want cable. Honestly, that's probably how Spectrum gains half of their customers because it's definitely not great service that does it!! I'm just very disappointed with my service from Spectrum. I shouldn't have to call once a week and sit on the phone for 45 minutes each time just to get my WiFi to work THAT I OAY FOR! We use the Spectrum app on a game system to in the living room for cable and the box is in the bedroom... My husband works midnights and is sleeping right now so because of no WiFi for 3 days now that also means no cable for 3 days! I haven't been able to watch tv (except for at night in the bedroom) for THREE DAYS now. Totally unacceptable. I will definitely be researching alternative route for WiFi and cable services! read more

Can I give 0 stars? Just got off the phone with them attempting to cancel my fathers cable service since he passed away. I was told I need to come to the nearest Spectrum office WITH a death certificate or obit in order to cancel. In the middle of funeral planning, family traveling, estate issues, I am supposed to drop everything because they (the internet provider) can't go online to look up an obit. A monopoly business in Youngstown that, no matter the multimillion dollar advertising claiming otherwise, is some of the slowest, worst service. We pay a high rate for cable and internet. And, no matter how many times we call them to the house for slow internet, slow cable interaction, no cable, the response is always the same, we have "no problem". Well, look at the pics I posted. It tells the whole story. I can't access cable options. It has been in this mode until the next screen comes up saying ENTOD not available. So, in a nutshell, frequent occasions of slow internet, slow cable box interaction, no cable box interaction, no cable, egregiously poor customer service (They love their Philippine call center. Just what can they do for me here? And they have access to all my personal information?) and all the time they tell you nothing is wrong while taking that monthly check without blinking. So far I've been very satisfied with Spectrum! They come when they say they are coming, which I really appreciate. My cable went out on Thursday night, I called and they were unable to get me back on remotely. I was given an appointment for Monday between 11 & 12. I was disappointed but didn't think there was much that could be done. At 2 on Friday afternoon I received a call asking if it was ok if a tech came out between 4 & 5. I said that would be great and before 6 everything was back to normal! Thanks Spectrum!!!!!! read more

Spectrum Cable is one of the worst cable companies I've ever had to deal with. They don't know what customer satisfaction is. They will not work with you if your bill is late. Example: not providing any extensions. Today, around 10 and 1030 am I wake up to NO cable or internet. I live in a apartment complex and the woman upstairs was getting her cable hooked up. My boyfriend goes outside to look at the cable box, and low and behold someone actually cut the cable that runs directly into our house. Vandalism anyone? I then call spectrum and talk to a customer representative he tells me technicians are not available until tomorrow between 3 and 4 in the after noon. I explained to him that I can't wait until tomorrow, because I'm taking college classes on line. You think he cares? NO! I then called back and spoke to another customer service representative he told me that he will be able to get me a technician to my apartment to fix it. One of their technicians called and said he wasn't coming. I said No that's not what I was told. I was told that a technician will be here to fix everything. He said listen. I said, No, you listen! I started in more to the conversation he then hung up on me. I immediately then called spectrum back and spoke to another customer service rep. He then told me the same thing a tech will be out tomorrow to fix it. I then said that's fine, I'd like to have the corporate number. He said I'll let you talk to a supervisor. I talked to one he said he would put in a work order and he would call me back within the hour. Did I get a phone call? That would be a big fat NO! I called back and personally asked for the supervisor I talked to before. I wasn't able to speak to him, I got another supervisor, and he didn't care that I had assignments due for school, that we are paying customers, nor paying for services that we don't have. If anyone can avoid Spectrum for internet and cable service please do. They DO NOT CARE about their customers!!!! read more
