They quoted me six days out but then suddenly called back 30 minutes later saying they could see it "right now." An hour later, they called and told me the transmission had "catastrophic internal failure" and could not be fixed. No codes, no other details. They insisted on this multiple times, clearly using fear to sell me a repair I didn't need. The only option they gave me was a new transmission for $3,500 - $4,000. When I was hesitant (on a 7-month-old transmission), the conversation was basically over. I paid the $90 diagnostic fee and declined the "repair." The staff's attitude immediately turned hostile. They aggressively told me to get my car out of their packed parking lot, fully aware it was in an unsafe condition to drive. I had to back it onto the street, where I ended up fixing it myself. I dropped the pan, replaced the leaking gasket, and refilled the fluid. The "catastrophic failure" turned out to be just low fluid pressure from the leak. After running it on jack stands to get the fluid circulating, the car engaged Drive and now shifts perfectly. Total cost for my repair: $60 and a weekend of my time. This shop is either grossly incompetent, completely apathetic, or actively predatory. Based on my experience, it's a combination of all three. They took my $90 for a "diagnostic" just to lie to my face. Do not trust them.

Had my car for 3 days. He drove it 130 miles but my transmission did not do what I said it did. So…read morehe had nothing to fix. But I did ask to change the oil and he did not do that either. So I explained that the car is 11 years old and 60 thousand miles. Maybe just change the old transmission oil and do the oil change. The day before I called and he said the car does have codes but he would not tell me what the codes were. I asked to only fix the codes related to the transmission not anything else because there are 3 recalls to be fixed by the dealership that would not cost me any thing. so he just changed the oil and drained the transmission. But when giving me a ride back to get my car he said he had to drain the trans twice because it was so bad and said he was concerned about that? But would not say what his concerns were? Instead he asked personal questions that were very inappropriate . In my mind tell me what codes you found , what are your concerns about old trans fluid not what a 78 year olds love life is like! And when paying there where no signs saying they charge 3% if you use a credit card. No mention of it. So he said my charge was $594.05 but the charge was 611.87.and the side of my car had major mud splashed and dried on the passenger side which I did not see till I got home. So i would never go back to PPT ever again.

do not use this place, they are not good people. charged me for engine mounts after an oil change…read more 6 months later i drop off for an oil change, i leave and all my headlights and blinkers dont work. they refused any blame and didnt take any accountability. on top of that they tried to sell me engine mounts again for another 2300 dollars. i told him you already charged me for that last time, he says they are shot and i dont see it in the system??? what? 2 oil changes, 1st one cost 2300 for work that either wasnt done or was done terribly. 2nd oil change(200 dollars mind you) destroyed my whole electrical system and than played dumb. i also asked what happened to his prior workers who sold me the engine mount. he said they got fired for stealing 12 grand from him. seems like a theme at this place, just screwing people over left and right and not doing the right thing ever. take your car anywhere else. their prices are outrageous, their work is horrific and they lie/have 0 accountability. UPDATE: to respond to the comment below. I would never let this place touch my car ever again. the engine mounts they put in the car 6 months ago are dead already, how is that possible? he refuses to refund after trying to resell me new mounts again. much better places locally.

It was right before Thanksgiving and they took care of my car issue in less that a week, meanwhile I took it to the dealer before hand and it took them a week to tell me what was wrong with my car, they also didn't fix the issue that I took it in for, but instead they took it upon themselves to do other work on the car that I didn't ask them to do and billed me for it, the total cost was about $1,800 dollars and my car was in the same condition that I brought it into them for. To make matter worse, they wanted to charge me $6.800 dollars to replace my transmissions on top of what they had already charge me. A total rip off the deader are especially when the warranty has expired. I had a choice as to where I wanted to take my vehicle for servicing, but I chose N & M Transmissions because it was local to where I live, and I'm glad I did. Not only did they display great technical knowledge about transmissions, but they impressed me with their honesty, a rare commodity with auto mechanics these days. They explained everything to me in great detail so that I knew everything they were doing or planning to do, so there were no surprises. They're honest mechanic, they also told me about some other issues that I had with my car that the dealer should had taken care of.
