There are always deals to be found, you just have to spend the time looking around. I have always found this location to be neatly organized an the employees are friendly. There is ample parking. I needed some mini pretzels. Lots of them - eight bags. The shelf was nearly empty, only three bags remained. I spotted a large box on top of the shelf with a label that indicated it might contain what I was looking for. I spotted an employee starting to restock the frozen food aisle. I asked him if he could get the box down for me. He said that he'd be right back. He returned with a ladder on wheels and retrieved the box for me. Sure enough it contained exactly what I was looking for. After I grabbed my five bags of pretzels, I thanked the employee. I also apologized for pulling him away from what he was doing. He said, "You're welcome. No worries, it's part of my job". It was really refreshing. He didn't piss and moan about having to do something else. ANo attitude, no eye roll or sneer or smirk. He happily obliged. If only the S&F inventory was as good as the customer service. Their spice selection is terrible. Multiple brands of more commonly used spices, but not any dill weed of any kind. The dog food aisle left a lot to be desired also. Not a lot of variety and what they did have was pretty expensive. I was able to get dog food and dill weed at Food 4 Less. To sum up: While Food 4 Less is superior in the spice and dog food aisles, Smart & Final excels in pretzels!

RUDE CASHIER ALERT!!…read more There was no barcode on my zucchini so I pressed the help button at self-checkout. The cashier from about 2 sections away yells in my direction rudely asking me if I need help, expecting me to know that he was talking to me when I'm not even facing his direction. I proceed to explain the situation, then he asks me how much my zucchini weighs. I put it on the scale and I couldn't find the weight because it wasn't showing up on the checkout screen where I expected it to be. Still trying and feeling anxious about not knowing what to do in front of waiting customers, he comes over and aggressively points to where the weight is (on another screen). Then he walks away trying to make me look dumb by shaking his head and putting his hand up in the air in a "you should've known where to look" sort of way at self-check out. I understand that he was busy and they may have been understaffed at the time--and he may have been having a bad day, but this type of customer service isn't okay in my eyes.

Santee Walmart was the last people to do an oil change on my car and did not replace four of the screws for my splash pan which explains the noise I've been hearing. This is not the first time I've I had issues with them. My recommendation do your own oil change if possible or pay the extra money and go somewhere else. Do better Walmart ! I'll be doing my own for now on.
