This was the shuttle provided by Costco travel. I'm only giving three stars instead of five because our driver the first day was an awful driver. He consistently swerved within the lane, braked abruptly, and sped up and slowed down numerous times. His perception/ reaction time seemed off. He was on time and friendly. As far as the being timely and friendly, our shuttle drivers to and from the airport were on time and friendly. They called us the day prior to confirm our pick up and departure times. They showed up and were ready for us when they said they would be. The day of our departure back home, we arrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare. I see several reviews about their timeliness and failure to pick up, but we didn't not experience that at all. read more

Very positive review, 2/28/26, driver- Jimmy from OGG to Marriott Ocean Club- and I've had one previous really. bad experience with a Speedi Shuttle driver who didn't know her way around and almost got us back late to the airport. Jimmy, though, texted while I was waiting at the luggage carouse, greeted me, stowed my luggage and off we wen. He kept up a continuous conversation with all of us, pointing out landmarks, things to do, stories that had us laughing, answering question, obviously familiar with the island. Had lost his boat at the Lahaina marina, lost a high school friend, but had other friends who'd survived. Was a positive ambassador for Maui, a great and interesting driver who all of us in the van enjoyed being with - a few newbies and a few who've visited her often. Ten stars - Jimmy was the best! 7/2/2021: I reserved my transportation to Kahului Airport over a week prior to my departure via using the Internet finding Speedi Shuttle's URL. I paid $81.60 for one-way transportation to Kahului Airport which is egregiously expensive but, necessary getting to the Airport in a punctual manner. The Driver was courteous, friendly: He drove a brand new, Mercedes Sprinter Van; the MSV was immaculately spotless, its interior spaciousness boasting ample room transporting my luggage and me which is a huge bonus, indeed! Along the route to Kahului Airport, the Driver picked up two other couples who were riding to Kahului Airport with me . . . Adding the cost riding Speedi Shuttle was $81.60 for me, $86.80 for the one Kahana couple, and $86.80 for the Lahaina couple equals $255.20 for all three groups riding to Kahului Airport verses renting a Turo car for $3,000.00 for ONE WEEK! Seriously, I'd rather pay Speedi Shuttle $81.60 for an enjoyable, stress-free ride going to Kahului Airport rather than going financially broke ANY DAY! read more

We always choose Speedi Shuttle for getting to and from the airport in the islands. The drivers are always super friendly, safe, and always on time for our pick ups and drop offs. Plus, the sprinter vans are either new and/or in good condition. Not sure why Speedi Shuttle always gets bad reviews, but as I mentioned, we've been using them for years and have always had a great experience with them. read more

We had Jimmy, who was able to tell us all about the island. He grew up in lahina and was able to give us great information about what to do and not to do. He Also gave us a piece of his history. He lived through the horrifying fires and was able to explain things the news didn't. He explained different trees, about the sugar and that Hawaii has snow! Yes it snows in Maunakea mountain. Would have given them 3 stars, but they did not enforce the mask mandate on the way back to the airport. My safety was at risk as was the rest of my family Had to wait over 40 minutes for a shuttle during off season. Honestly absurd. The representative at the desk claimed there was a fire on the island but asking around and some google searches proved otherwise. One of the few options for transport outside a taxi or an uber if you aren't renting a car. All I can say is good luck. We had to wait around for guests that never showed on our return leg and now I worry about making it through TSA and making our flight. Book with someone else. Went from 2 stars to 1 star when our entire party was carsick after the ride back. Not to mention the people in the back of the shuttle vaping the entire ride back. No masks. No safety. Terrible. Absolutely the best way to get from OGG airport to your holiday or hotel destination on Maui. Seamless operation as long as you book online first, then look for the SpeediShuttle kiosk by the two baggage claim carousels. Check in with the agent and you're done. Way easier and much cheaper than trying to find a rental car at post-Covid astronomically insane prices. Round trip automatically booked so no need to call them prior to departure. If I could leave negative stars I would. We booked Speedishuttle for our airport transfer leibgreeting from Maui OGG and our hotel in Kaanapali. We got off the plane after 7.5 hours of travel and waited 20 minutes to check in at the desk, all okay, they had one rep working. We were checked in and when we asked how long it would take the representative said she had no idea, they only had 5 busses and told us to go wait in an area outside. Upon going outside there were about 40 beleaguered travelers waiting. We waited for 60 minutes and then called an Uber. For reference Uber was $70 which was cheaper than the shuttle. 15 minutes into the Uber ride we were called by the Speedishuttle representative and she said I am ready for you to get in the shuttle. I said we opted for an Uber. At that point she screamed in the phone at me and said "Thanks for letting me know. THAT IS A FULL CHARGE FOR YOU" and them she hung up on me. I can not make this stuff up. Let's talk about letting people know things...Speedishuttle if I knew I would have 75 minutes to wait before I got a call to get on the shuttle I NEVER would have booked it. I was traveling with someone who had never been to Hawaii and I thought the lei welcome would be nice. Unfortunately this was the WORST way to could possibly start your vacation. Based on my experience PLEASE look all reviews and make an informed decision. I don't want what happened to me happen to someone else because it really was awful. read more

Just to update. No response from Speedi Shuttle. It's been exactly 1 week. They had emailed asking for my review of my experience and if I had any issues to email them. Not surprised. I was able to call American Express to investigate my charge and immediately within a few hours got an email stating they will refund me and this statement, "we may accept the response from Speedi Shuttle at a later date," which probably meant American Express tried to contact them as well and gotten no response. read more

Horrible service. 45 minutes late. Almost late for flight back home. Highly don't recommend this company. We called to follow up when they were 20 minutes late and they lied saying they were there and called us when we received no phone call and had been waiting an hourly early before pick up time. They left us out to dry for our flight home. Tried calling customer service as we were already without a ride at our scheduled pickup time. The lady was very rude and not helpful, she told us our ride was there and it wasn't, then she hung up. AVOID THIS BUSINESS at all costs. Don't take this. Even though there's barely ubers/lifts/taxis, it's still better than this. We waited for about an hour and still heard nothing from the shuttle. There was only one poor lady who was working in the front and everyone was complaining to her. It was understandable why they were complaining but I felt so bad for her. This company obviously cares little about their customers and their employees. We tried to cancel over the phone and the person over the phone said "your shuttle is almost arriving" we didn't want take any chances as we already booked an Uber (thankfully as they really are limited). It's sad because it's hard to come across much services, but this company should really tell to their customers estimated wait times so customers aren't just waiting in the dark. They really should also get more employees for the front because this poor employee was getting all the backlash and had probably 50 customers waiting at the same time complaining. read more

I was surprised to see the negative reviews after I had already used this service twice, both for the shuttle from the airport to my hotel, and the return trip. Had I seen these reviews, probably would not have used them. But glad I didn't see them because my experience was outstanding. The two different drivers we had for each direction were extremely polite, friendly, and informative. In both instances they were 5 to 10 minutes early. The van was fairly new and clean. They even gave us popcorn and water. For us it was absolutely a five-star experience and I would definitely use them again in the future. It was nothing like the crazy reviews that some other people have left. Maybe we got lucky and they've now completely changed for the better. I do not reccommend!! My booking was an absolute disaster and I ended up having to spend $160 USD to get an uber to the airport at 3:30am. I was waiting at the pickup destination for over 10 minutes before any cars showed up. I tried calling the customer support number, but because it was so early, no one was picking up the phone. An unmarked Nissan truck finally drove in that was blaring loud rap music but did not look like the Speedishuttle photo that was sent to my email, so I did not approach them. The driver did not get out or indicate that they were here to pick someone up. I continued to wait as the truck left and when they came back, I finally approached them as I began to wonder if this was somehow my ride. I learned that they were there to pick me up but had cancelled my reservation with Speedishuttle and required that I now book them directly through an Uber which was $160. The driver yelled and argued, but I had no choice because I needed to get to the airport. I ended up riding with this angry man and it was very uncomfortable and did not feel safe. I would like a refund and more, considering how much I ended up spending on this. read more

When we finally got to the hotel we saw a frantic traveler who was waiting for his very late speedi shuttle to get him back to the airport in time for his flight. He asked the driver if this was his shuttle and the driver said no. He then asked where his shuttle was and the driver said I don't know and closed the window. I'm genuinely afraid they won't pick us up for our flight home after reading all these reviews and experiencing the service myself. When we arrived in Maui we specifically sought them out at the airport to ask about getting a shuttle the following week. They told us there was no need to book in advance and gave us a card and told us to call them the day we needed the shuttle and they would arrange for us to get to Wailea. Seem too good to be true? I guess so, because we called them again today to book our transport and we were told that it would be impossible to arrange transportation because it needs to be booked a week in advance. Speedi shuttle is not a viable option. I was worried there wouldn't be Ubers available, but there are. Ubers cost the exact same as this pathetic service. Reps at the airport booth won't give an honest ETA so people can make an informed decision whether to wait 20 mins for an Uber and just PAY for an extra trip. What a racket. Super excited to get into a van and make 17 stops along the way--after waiting more than an hour and with no van in sight. Awful company, don't use Speedi shuttle if you can avoid it. They picked us up from the airport an hour late. While we waited they were unable to give us any updates on timing. Out flight back to the airport was 30 mins late and we barely made it through security for our flight. While we waited for the shuttle we called and we're on hold for 20 mins. Please read all the other negative reviews as they are TRUE. You will wait an hour, at least, at the airport for the shuttle to arrive. You can't call them on the phone because it's always busy. When you try to cancel they will charge you for a service they didn't provide. I have filed a claim with my credit card and the BBB. if i could leave it at -0 stars, i would. this company is HORRIBLE for transportation. they STOLE $70 from me and my daughter and when i reached out for help, their excuse for it was "you did not follow policy guidelines, cancellations etc" this was really unfair. they close really early and i was unable to call by the time i was free. i filed a complaint with my bank to try and get the funds back and they refused and sent their policies, which prevented bank from processing dispute. horrible company! horrible! very rude, unsanitary and unsafe read more
