*Old Pic circa 2022 - Drifting Ride-Along in a Dodge Charger Hellcat
    Lea L.

Was in Las Vegas for a concert. Went to Speed Vegas a few years ago, and I just noticed that I didn't do a review yet. We did the Drifting Ride-Along Experience. At the time, (2022) we rode in a Dodge Charger Hellcat. I had fun being a passenger. I was the 2nd passenger, so of course I sat in the back. I was definitely sliding left to right & got thrown around in the back seat haha. Gotta keep that seatbelt on for sure. The professional driver was fun & definitely took us for a ride. Had a great experience here. I regret not paying extra for the video. I guess we'll have to do it again! Note: prices are from 2022

We visited SPEEDVEGAS to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday, and while the idea is exciting, the overall experience felt overpriced and underwhelming. The main issue is the value for money. We paid around $300 for 5 laps, but 2 of those are essentially warm-up laps, so you don't really get the full driving experience. On top of that, the instructor constantly limits your speed, so you never fully feel the power of the car. Right from the start, you're encouraged to purchase additional laps, with the explanation that the experience will go by very quickly which it does. We ended up buying 2 extra laps for about $70, which also felt expensive for such a short track. The track itself is quite small, so the laps feel very short. You barely have time to get into the experience before it's over. The whole activity was advertised as a two-hour experience, but in reality, we were done in less than an hour, including about 15 minutes of waiting before even getting started. They also offer an in car video for an additional cost, which I personally don't think is worth it. It's just a basic dashcam style recording inside the car. For the price of the experience especially for special occasions like a birthday something like this could easily be included or at least made more creative and memorable. Overall, by the end of the visit, the total cost ended up being significantly higher than expected, almost double the original price. I'm giving this two stars for the concept and potential. It could be an amazing experience, but in its current state, the pricing, track size, and overall execution don't quite justify the cost. I would consider coming back if there were noticeable improvements.

The earliest you can book the gokarts is 10AM, but they open at 9AM for the other events. We came early, hoping to check in for the gokarts before 10AM (setting up/sign liability/etc). However, the door for the gokart side was locked. We went in through the other door anyways, but we still waited closer to 10AM to be able to set up for the gokarts. We filled out the waiver on the kiosk/iPads, then got a wristband indicating that we filled out the liability waiver. We then got in line closer to opening at 10AM in the gokart line, and then got our 'safety briefing', just right next to the tv screen by the gokart line. It was quick, and then we were on our way. They help you pick a helmet that fits your head. For people with longer hair, they asked me to put my hair up and tuck it in underneath the hairnet (which is for everyone). It was $35 per race (8 mins) and then slightly cheaper with more races you purchase in one go. My husband books two races for each of us ($65 for two races). There's lockers that you set up yourself, but it's better if you bring as little as possible. No jackets, for the most part, in case it gets ripped off. Overall, the track is fun, see photo of track below. It's quite fast, faster than typical gokarting indoors. 8 minutes feel surprisingly long, so it's worth it. We don't go gokarting all the time, so we were super sore after. We ubered here from the Strip, it was a 20-25 minute ride, so plan for that. No issues getting an Uber out here in terms of waiting for a ride. Definitely interested in coming back for the racing cars/drifting experience.

Took the family here for Christmas and we all had a blast. We all drove the Porsche GT4 so we could compare times and have a little family competition. Everyone here is really friendly and helpful. It can seem intimidating but they do a great job of preparing you and staying by your side through the whole experience. They make sure you're safe, yet it's still a thrilling experience. So glad we came and had some high speed fun. Definitely recommend trying it out. If you can afford the more expensive/faster cards, then do so. However, even with the less expensive cars you'll still have an amazing experience.

Had to come back again to beat his time -- and we did it! We ended up shaving off two full seconds, with our best lap hitting 59 seconds. This time we got the gray Porsche, since the green one wasn't available anymore, but it was still an awesome ride. Huge shoutout to Ricky! We wish him the best with his new opportunity! Track Time never disappoints -- fun experience, smooth process, and definitely worth coming back for more.

Loyd was a amazing coach and definitely helped me learn a lot more on breaking! He was very helpful very technical and I would absolutely love to learn more from him in the future. I definitely plan on being back. Thank you for helping make this an amazing experience.

Great place to experience! Came here son SAN Diego to celebrate my husband's birthday. We messed up in the time and got there earlier than what we had our reservation and the got us earlier and didn't make up wait which was awesome. My husband did the drift drive and drove the Porsche 911 and he was absolutely happy with the experience!

The driver is taking time to explain things and what to expect

Such an incredible experience that is a must-do experience here in Vegas. Took my child and his friend here for a fun playdate and they LOVED IT! Organized and lots of cars to choose from! Would highly recommend this place for a FUN, EXCITING experience especially for the kids who love exotic cars.

I came here a few months ago to to do the go karts with my daughter. This time I did the exotics experience. Max was my pro driver who assisted from the passenger side. I had so much fun!! Everyone on staff is super nice, too. I was really nervous before hand but after the first lap I couldn't stop smiling. This is a great "off the strip" less traditional and still adrenaline junkie thing to do!! Would totally do this again!

I had been to Exotics Racing several times but never Speed Vegas. When looking to book a racing experience for my nephew I found out they merged. Although the location/track was different, it was still the same great experience! This was my big present for my nephew, who I flew into town for his 21st bday. He chose the Ferrari 488GTB. His instructor was very knowledgeable and kind and really took his time with my nephew. The location has many super cars to choose from and they let you look/sit in/take pics of all of them, not just the one you purchase laps for, which was so fun! I'm lucky to have a professional photographer as a sister so she got some great action shots of our nephew whipping the Ferrari around the track. My nephew could not stop talking about how much he enjoyed it. Win for Auntie! Experiences over Materials any day of the week. Consider this for yourself or a loved one. You won't regret it! Also if you want a local photographer for your experience, hit up my sister on instagram: @rondachurchill

So we took our Son to Vegas for his 21st birthday. We've been there b4 w him bilut wanted to try and make it something for him to remember so I had heard about this place and started the investigation. There was another option but this establishment seemed like you got more bang for the buck. Probably not more than 5 minutes past the edge of town so not too bad. Pricing wasn't terrible I suppose I guess it depends on your budget. We had already planned on a price that we were willing to spend on the adventure so we were ready. There are several packages available and they also offer go-carts on the other side if thats more your speed not sure if they have higher horsepower but they have thier own track on the property as well. I think the minimum laps you can purchase is 3. And depending on what vehicle you choose the price gets adjusted from there. We went with 7 bc from the reviews I read that gives you a couple of laps to get comfortable with the vehicle and than let it go!! There is a driver inside with you that has a brake pedal and steering in case things get out of control. So it is safe. I think all in we spent around $800 for this experience but it including his picture and an actual in the car video of his laps tha are emailed to you to download. So if your looking to fill your NEED FOR SPEED! This is the place I recommend. And they also give the drivers a 45 minute course on the particulars of driving , and they also take the drivers out in a Porsche cayenne to show them the track. They have a nice selection of vehicles to fit whatever your looking for So in the end I would definitely recommend!!

I purchased 5 laps for my two sons. One drove a Ferrari and the other drove a Lamborghini.... Justin P instructed one of my sons and he was awesome! They were both nervous at first but boy were they smiling ear to ear when they stepped out of the car. I totally recommend this experience for everyone!

This is a very fun activity! We originally came here to do the Super Kart Go Carts and ended up adding the drifting in the Dodge Hellcat for a little extra adrenaline. However, there were several hiccups. We booked the Go Karts online, showed up, completed the waiver and got checked in. The staff at the front pointed towards the double glass doors/walk-thru to the other side and said to wait for the safety briefing. We walked that direction and saw the "Briefing Room" through the opening so we went and sat down and waited. Turns out the briefing area we were supposed to go is simply a TV screen right next to the Go Kart check-in counter, less than 10 feet away. We ended up missing the Go Kart safety briefing and instead got the racing briefing. We went back to the counter and explained what happened and the young lady at the counter was very apologetic and worked to get everything setup for us to do go karts. After Go Karts we actually decided to add on the drifting ride-along and the video recording. While that was a very fun experience unfortunately a big hiccup took place; it was never communicated that $39 was only for one video. They handed us two USB stick bracelets and that was it. Upon turning in our bracelets after the ride they never asked which of the two videos we wanted. We got one video in a timely manner and waited for the second video but it never came (they automatically picked the driver seat video). My husband reached out to the company and asked where the backseat video was and that's when they said we only paid for one. He ended up paying for the second video and it took over a day to even receive the second video. At that point it felt like an extra money grab, which is odd because none of these experiences (Go Karts aside) are cheap. The facility is great, the activities/experiences are great, but the poor/lack of communication left a not-so-great impression. SUGGESTION #1: At the start of every briefing, maybe consider asking the class/group "who is here for exotic car driving and who is here for go karts?" then just redirect individuals accordingly. SUGGESTION #2: Let customers know that $39 is for one video and if there is more than one person in the vehicle then it should be normal procedure to ask the customer(s) which video they would like, do not assume or pick for the customer.

Do we have to make reservation for Sunday afternoon ? We have 4 drivers in our group and 4 to 6 other people to be there watching. Can we take pictures with our phones?

Yes you can take pictures and video from the viewing balcony, no problem. Its best to make reservations. Specially if you have a specific car in mind. They get very budy over the weekends and they may not have the car or the time you want available.…

If I were to buy a package for my boyfriend and he were to be the driver, would I be able to ride along or would I have to purchase a package for myself?

Unfortunately not as our instructor will be next to the driver in the passenger seat. We recommend purchasing an activity for yourself as well.

Do you allow personal vehicles to be driven on your track?

Sorry, we do not allow outside vehicles on our track.

Does the facility have snacks or concessions available for customers?

We have limited snacks and drinks available.

Would you allow deaf people to drive it?

Since we have a driver's license, they assume deaf people can't drive a car alone. Unfortunately, they won't allow us to drive a car on the day of my birthday celebration.

Do you always have a coach with you?

When you are driving the car, yes.

Do members of a group get to drive on the track at the same time?

There are several cars on the track but the Track Marshal staggers their entry so that there is no impediment by other drivers for your experience. If you do come upon a car ahead of you the coach in your car will instruct you on how to proceed.…

For younger car enthusiasts (my 10 year old son) what packages do you have for ride alongs? He loves Ferrari's and Lamborghini's & would love to have a ride along with a professional driver.

We'd be thrilled to share the supercar experience with your son, Andrea. Sounds like you're raising him right! We offer a few in-house specials for guests under age 18. Our reservations team would be happy to fill you in. Feel free to e-mail…

How old do you have to be?

Hi, Raquel. Drivers need to be at least age 18 with a valid license. Guests as young as age 6, who also weigh least 60 lbs., are welcome to participate in ride-along experiences with our professional instructors at the wheel.

I usually select a Porsche because that's what I own so I don't have to familiarize myself with the controls and feel of the car. However, starting with a GT4RS was a mistake. My nickname as a motorcycle racer was "The Old, Slow Man". Equipped with semi-slicks, I was wasting the performance of the car with my tentative, senior citizen driving. I'd been faster in this model on a prior visit. I continued to struggle with turn 3 and for some reason I lost my feel for turn 10. Doing well on both are key to decent lap times. Alas, I finished my stint in the Porsche feeling down ... Is it true that the older you get, the slower you go? It seemed so to me. I waited a bit for a C8 to return to the pits, relaxing on a sofa, people watching. Sam was my pro in the C8, his style was more conducive to me turning better laps. He offered clear instructions, 3-2-1 BRAKE, turn in, 20% throttle, more throttle, give it the gas! As a result, I was seven seconds faster in the C8 than I was in the GT4RS. Sam told me I should have started with the C8, it's easier to drive. The next time, I will start with the C8 and move on to a more track-focused car. Lesson learned! The experience cost $801.90 for the two cars, $86.90 for the videos, and $100 in tips. Highly recommended!

It's a convenient location for us too! The only reason I gave this place 4 & not 5 stars is because it is pricier. It was about $20-$35 more than racing with K1 (using a 2 race, 2 person experience as reference). We paid $143 for 2 races, 2 people. It was $65/person + $13 in taxes and fees. In comparison, K1 is $54/person + $7/person (annual "license") + $0 in taxes and fees. It would be $108 without the license, and $122 with the license. Even with the price difference, my preference is still Vegas SuperKarts. Thank you for the wonderful experience!

Call out to Paul (instructor) as he was awesome to drive with and very helpful in all aspects of our driving experience.

Staff was incredible every step of the way, even helping us make final decisions on cars and number of laps, based on our interests, budget and past experiences. We raced the Ferrari 488 GT Evo and Lamborghini Huracan Technica (August) and Ferrari F8 Tributo (March). My instructor was SHAWN, who was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable, expertly guiding me around the track with his verbal shifting and gas/brake cues. He even took the time with us after racing to talk about his racing journey and goals, as well as talking to our son about his love of racing. We also did the drifting experience for my wife and younger non-drivers in the party, and they had a blast being ripped around the track with tires screeching and smoking. Depending on whether or not there is a race (like Nascar) at the Vegas Speedway , Dream racing uses either their track inside the Speedway, or just outside, so there is opportunity to try two different tracks if you make separate visits. Plus, the nearby Air Force base provides entertainment as the fighter jets roar overhead while you race your exotic. As a bonus, Dream racing allow non-drivers to ride along during the driver's orientation laps, where an instructor shows you the course and braking/acceleration cues in a Lexus SUV, which was a fun bonus for those not driving to get a small taste of the track.
