Gene Woods Racing Experience is one of the most unexpectedly fun things I've done on Fremont Street. Located inside Neonopolis, this indoor go-kart track delivers real racing energy -- fast-accelerating electric karts, a tight technical track, and racing that gets competitive almost immediately. It's incredibly convenient if you're already downtown. You walk in, get a quick rundown, and suddenly you're racing while all the Fremont Street action is happening just outside. Oh em geeeee this place was such an underrated hidden gem. Found a great deal for this place on Groupon and said YOLO! After we arrived on Fremont street it took a minute to find but tucked away was this place. Now looks are definitely deceiving. When I initially saw the track I was underwhelmed however after having completed the race I felt I got my moneys worth. The Groupon price at least was well worth it. I came here with my 2 sons and husband and we had a blast. I purchased a Groupon and unlike many other businesses, this one had no issues with redemption. The staff was helpful and friendly and there was little to no wait to get started. I do believe some of the karts could be better maintained (my son's go-kart broke in the middle of a run) but they were quick to swap him out with a working kart. We saw this place and had to try it. The place is tucked away behind the Denney's. No reservation needed. We were able to ride right away. The staff are really friendly and accommodating. They have a large waiting area so no problems for big groups. We had 5 of us and we were able to have the track to ourselves which was what we wanted. They supply everything, even the baclava you wear under the helmet. Some places make you buy it. Drifting is the key to this place. If you go full speed here you spin out. It's a more precision driving place. My buddy races cars and didn't get it. He was a little tipsy though. The tires are slicks so you even spin out at slow speeds. We had a blast and so much fun. You get a practice lap and then they put you to full speed. lots of time too. Again the staff are amazing and the best. I some how won and it was to all of our friends spinning out a lot. A race of 12 laps and after getting a slow start and falling behind because of a spin out I over took the lead ( it was just me and the Lady) when she spun out and kept it for good!!! But since I had already purchased tickets, the rest of the group went ahead and raced. They had so much fun! We met Gene, who was so kind to us. He took my son's friend for a ride so he had fun too. The racing would have been fun except for the little dickhead that kept straight up cussing at us telling us we dont know how to fu$&ing drift. He got super pissed off and dropped more f bombs every time we crashed into a wall. He made it clear he did not want to keep helping us turn around. If he could just yell us to turn and hit the gas instead of pulling us out he would. He would yell, "Fu$&ingredients hit the gas! Turn!" I almost told him to f off but I would have kicked out with no refunds. My friend quit early and left almost in tears. I was so mad that I yelled at the poor guy in the front. He was super nice about it and said the kid was new and that he would talk to him. I hope so because it ruined our experience! I took my son yesterday while visiting Fremont Street, he had an amazing time! The sign-up was quick, the safety video was both informative and funny, and the race was nail biting! He won and had so much fun, the couple he raced against were so friendly. We donated toward their charity that donates shoes to people in need. One of the best times. I also found this on Groupon for less than $20 to do in Vegas. This experience was so cool! We were able to do indoor (it was too hot!!) go karts and it was so much fun!! It lasted about 30 mins and you were able to go around i believe 20 laps. It wasn't many people here because we came kinda late, but boy! Did we enjoy ourselves. A time was had in Las Vegas last weekend. If you do decide to come, try them out. The workers were awesome, nice and knowledgeable. The place was clean, and fun. We enjoyed ourselves very much. Overall bad experience because of the attitude I was given from the lady. Her attitude and rudeness was definitely uncalled for especially for me asking such a basic question of whether or not we would know which lap we're currently on as the "race" progressed. As I asked if we would know which lap we were on, she cut me off and said I didn't pay attention to the video they forced us too watch in before the race by giving talking to me like a child. Maybe you shouldn't treat your customers like that especially when we're the only ones there. They also made sure to reiterate about 5 times that if you hit the wall or hit each other in the karts that you would be removed from the property and your race would end. Feels a bit like they had a suspicion that we would intentionally damage their vehicles. Also, their rules are whoever reaches 15 laps first, the race ends. We had people with us that was learning and trying new things. We didn't get 15 laps and the other people with us got about 10 laps. Not worth $30 per person. Although the track was fairly small, the drifting was a different experience. The guy was really nice. Seemed like once they had your money, they didn't care about your experience with you anymore. Sadly, it was a terrible experience and I would never come back again. That lady really should not be working there. Maybe you shouldn't assume that your customers are dumb and didn't do as asked. This deeply angered me the way she casually dismissed a genuine question by automatically questioning my character. (Message to the lady... Go educate yourself) read more

I had a great time here! It was my first time doing a go cart, so I struggled a bit. You would think that operating a car would be the same, but for me it wasn't. Upon arrival, you sign the registration form and then you make your way over to a short training video. As nobody was there, but myself and my girlfriend, it was a chance to make errors and smash into the wall several times. You get 8 laps around and if you have more than 6 people, you get a trophy award. The staff here was pleasant and patient. The staff informed me the secondary location allows for more speed because it's outdoors and the Fremont location is inside. I'd definitely recommend to get some steam off on the racetrack. Just an FYI--if you're tall like myself, beware because you can't reposition the seat and I found it extremely difficult to steer this way. read more

The go karts are not the state of the art expectations I had from reading the descriptions online. But the go karts we're definitely fun to drive. The track and tires combined are super slick so drifting happens regardless if you want it to. Super cool. They're electric so that's nice. One thing that shocked me was that if you lap people, and win earlier others lose their laps. I didn't like that. I feel like it cuts people's time on the track they paid for. HORRIBLE! The worst scam ever. They had my son's speed turned down, once I noticed I said something to a worker. They turned it on but he only had 2 laps left. After the race, I asked them why his speed was turned down and all they said was "I don't know, I didn't control it" read more
