This is part of a multi-use group of buildings and they seem to have the prime spot right at the corner. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a clean and pleasant space with high ceilings and green and gold decor. It's all new and there is a variety of seating types. I chose to sit at a small table near the side entrance. They have so many great food and beverage options, it was hard to choose. The nice young lady who took my order was very patient with me - I had lots of questions being my first time here. I ended up with a Mocha Pearls drink, Nutella Dubai Baklava, and an Almond Croissant. The drink was supposed to have chocolate pearls in it but I suppose since I ordered it hot, they melted. It basically tasted like a chocolate mocha so I would like to come back and try something different next time. The baklava sent me to the moon and back - I love chocolate baklava and it's hard to come by. Add the "Dubai" crunch kataifi with pistachio and I'm done! It was amazing! The Croissant was served warm and it had an almond paste inside. Soooo fresh and good! I love the attention to details and the care they took to serve everything so visually appealing. But far worse than noisy conversation there's this bell on both the front and back entrances that plays a little five note electric tune every time someone comes in or leaves... Why is it there? Why is it needed? The fact that only a few people have noted it here perhaps speaks more of our noise-polluted lives than anything else, but it's maddening as this thing goes off literally every minute or more, constant, tintinnabulations of the bell, bell, bell, bell, bell... There was an employee taking a break on his phone listening to YouTube videos out loud, too... I guess we're all just so used to this now. So if you want a quiet cafe to get work done, this ain't it.
