Was confused with the new styling of the pumps. Although I saw the scanner to scan some type of card, when I went to insert my card (like I used to have to do to most Speedway places) it took it. Are the new pumps designed to scan the barcode of the card without inserting the card or what is up with that barcode scanner (what is it used for)? (The last time I was forced to use a brand new updated pump at a Speedway, the pumps pay-at-the-pump was down and couldn't get my GasBuddy card to work correctly(another station at another time), but that astounded me finally.

My youngest daughter carries one on those very small back pack purses. The store had two other older couple customers in the store. The cashier was loudly trying to get my attention so the other couple in the store got to me to point out that the cashier wanted my attention just to embarrassingly let me know that my daughter could not carry her small back pack purse in the store. There is No such policy. If there was it should be posted visibly on the door for the public to see before entering the store. I'm so mad I could curse but I kept it professional for the sake of customers and my children and let the cashier know that it should be posted before we were embarrassed. The cashier apologized and stated that she is not the Boss and was told to let customers know that they have to keep there back pack purses at the counter or near the Door!! This is crazy and Bias. I have been in customer service for over 10 years managing so I know this was wrong. I pray Stewarts does better by there customers and there policies.

Stopped in here (technically) yesterday just before going to a doctor appointment nearby and although I needed food having not eaten , others came in for refreshment items. Was pleasantly surprised during my first transaction (buying a pre-made sandwich and chips). Though they had few ham and cheese sandwiches (they are moving away from these and pushing the turkey sandwiches apparently) I was rather astounded when I saw how orderly the area is/was even having only been open a few weeks. Was asked if I wanted the receipt at the register, but was never asked for or given a bag...not that I needed any. Second transaction went just as well, but with some issues. Had to get some drink, tried for Diet Lemon Snapple but proved to be a problem, looked for Pure Leaf and even Stewart's but was depressed by their selection. Saw the Poland Spring waters with the East-open lid and was an instant success. Went up to the register, but although I paid in cash and was given the correct change, not only did I not receive a bag, but I also was never given or asked if I wanted a receipt. "I gave you cash. The least you could do is give me a receipt." I know this location refreshed their view, but they still need to learn from others what we customers (even from slightly out of town) want.

The girl working told us that they don't make any breakfast sandwiches after 11 AM. my daughter was extremely disappointed. We decided to try the one in Catskill. Thankfully Abbie is clearly an amazing employee. She made us fresh sandwiches for us to eat before our three hour drive. We will now go to that store even though the one in Athens is closer to our house.

I came in here the other day looking to purchase several dollars of gas for the car, when once I…read moregot in, I was warmly greeted to other customers waiting in line. Well, I do thank this location, because this location had an employee that opened up a new line so that I could pass directly into a line so I wouldn't have to wait to pay for the service. Maybe seeing as I had cash and had the Gas Cash Card in hand (and handy), maybe triggered them to see that I didn't pose a major threat to making the transaction be easy for them to complete. They didn't ask or remind me that I had a Speedy Rewards account I could use at the register, but I remembered the card just after handing them the Gas Cash Card and they completed the transaction smoothly. The money was added and I got a receipt as I asked. I went out and pumped. I had no real problems there. The ground still looks a little old and predates the Speedway pumps, but they work. The fact that the Walmart across the street helps, makes this place a go-to place when I'm in Catskill. I had been here before, but it had been a long time and this time was different : they didn't realize that this time it would be the experience I'd be reviewing about.

After pulling in this evening to get gas after a lengthy trip to Albany for Uber riders, I pulled in and got gas. The gas machine (when I paid with my GasBuddy card) asked me if I wanted a receipt. I said yes, but by the time the receipt was printing, nothing cane out. With too many shops here, I couldn't tell which one managed these pumps, (as all the stores weren't owned by Sunoco). I knew I'd have a digital receipt in my GasBuddy account, so I shouldn't complain, but why does this always have to happen at Sunoco? I like the idea that you have an E85 pump here, but since my car doesn't take that fuel, this fuel sadly doesn't apply to me just yet.

And…read morealthough my experience was a good one (so far as I know - having not known how efficient this gas is in my tank), I can't say for certain this was a good trip nor a bad one either. Although looks can be intimidating at first, the fact that prices per gallon seemed cheaper if you paid in cash, this place doesn't look all that well kept up on the roads and is in an area that looks about 20 years behind the times. The employee I met up with took my money in an efficient manner, but never did give me my receipt. I myself wasn't thinking straight and never asked her later for one. I know from others who have tried in here themselves too, this place needs some renovating. The inside is tiny and the roads leading up to and into the station are terrible....the road is cracked in several spots and my car went "bumpety-bumpety bump" over several potholes in the street which was pure terror on my 2009 car - I hate to see what the road and surrounding area would do to a brand new (same model year as the most current year) car if these were to travel over it. Clean up and re-renovate the roads surrounding your business and definitely eliminate that annoying extra turn that makes me confused near that bank so you don't have to make the extra turn towards the bank just to make a 45 degree turn towards your establishment, which seems kinda' extra much to get to a gas station (most gas stations are straight in and straight out).

I was on my way to Albany from my Dutchess county home, had chosen to fill up in Hudson (off 9H) but had missed many of my landmark gas stations, and chose this place. I realized the price was a little higher than normal and was half-expecting it. It was still much like any other Sunoco, but having had to use pay-at-the-pump I knew I could fill up here. I had noticed a diesel truck waiting near the exit, which was my only drawback (having had to smell the diesel being burned throughout my adventure here), but I guess that can't be controlled. It didn't present much problem, but having come in via 9H and exiting via Rte 66, having to make a hard turn to get back on 9H was impossible when I realized my mistake. It's a little rundown on the outside. There's few spaces to temporarily park and do a quick shopping trip/convenience store run inside, but I just needed gas so I wasn't looking for much. Now first off, don't get me wrong, buying in bulk or sacrificing the quality of some ingredients to large suppliers like this is definitely a reality when running a restaurant. Even moreso in this day and age when ingredient prices are exorbitant. That said, it needs to be reflected in the price point. Pastries are arranged beautifully under cloches in the display case, but I could spot the premade, ready-to-bake spinach feta bistro (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/QZ119984/) or ham and cheese croissant (https://www.chefswarehouse.com/products/99971/) from a mile away. The avocado spread on the preassembled breakfast sandwiches is definitely the pulp from the 3lb bag from Chef's Warehouse too. I know that taste! All of that said, they had a few items in the case that I'm sure weren't from one of these big vendors. Which was great to see. My (yes, unsolicited!) advice would be to pare down the menu. Offer just a bit less so you can focus on the quality. Try and tap into some local producers if you can! That's one of the best things about the Hudson Valley... how much all the purveyors and markets and cafes support each other. It's clear too how much they care about the community. They're dog friendly inside. No WiFi to encourage people to chat with one another. Fine. I really want to see this place continue to thrive, it's just a bit of a bummer that a significant part of the menu including things that really should be fresh, aren't.
