On our last visit we decided to try Nami Yum Yum. We ordered a veggie sushi sandwich ($14) for me, which featured a few veggies with rice wrapped up in soy paper; New York Strip ($25) for him, which was a bowl with steak, roasted potatoes and other things; Sweet Plantains ($6) for the table, with cream and cotija. We both got a Jarritos each. Service was timely. Everything was creative. I never had a sushi sandwich. It tasted pretty good too. I wasn't really feeling well and couldn't enjoy it as much as I intended to, but it was nevertheless yummy and unique. My sandwich came with a side of puffed up chips (I actually don't know what they are called). The plantains were also very good. I am glad we ordered them as a side because it was a good side to eat with our meals. Overall no complaints, I would eat there again.

The taco food stall had some Mac and cheese that I really wanted, but he was so overwhelmed with making a large order with only one person helping him that he literally told me to come back in 30 minutes to place my order. I ended up ordering the Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich from the burger place, where the guy (working solo) told me it would take about 30 minutes before it would be ready. We were in no rush, and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait!! The ooey gooey cheese paired with perfectly browned Texas toast satisfied my hunger after a long day of hiking and window shopping. My husband ordered the Paneer Kati Roll + Mango Lassi from the Indian food stall. He liked the roll, however we both decided that the lassi was average at best. Additionally, they served it with ice which was a huge disappointment (**being that my husband is from India, we have standards regarding Indian food). I'm giving 4 stars because the overall atmosphere of this food hall was not the best... Definitely NOT enough seating... They didn't seem to have anyone on staff taking care of the place, so the two tables that were empty when we arrived were extremely dirty (we cleaned one ourselves). They also didn't have napkins readily available and only 2 individual restrooms, despite having a bar in the back. Also, it was SO DARK inside... Scarce lighting which was not very pleasant or welcoming, especially since the sun was shining brightly outside. There is an outdoor patio, which is great, however because the weather was nice it was completely full. Final thoughts: this is a great place to grab lunch or dinner with a group of friends, especially if no one can agree on where to go. There's a variety of options and something for everyone to enjoy!

Where else can you have pizza, sushi, empanadas, tacos, Indian food, bbq and the list continues all under one roof? On this particular visit, I got a burger from Billy's Burger Bar and a yummy crepe with Nutella and strawberries and bananas from the Skinny Pancake. Bon Ton, the movie theater and Sears are gone for good. But Wilton Mall seems to be holding on. Maybe it's not a bad idea to turn the former Bon Ton area into an apartment complex, a controversial proposal. We could be like underground Montreal, living our lives out in the harsh winter without ever venturing outside. I come here to get my steps in when the weather keeps me from walking outside. Two circuits will do you nicely, and just one will give you some healthful exercise. Just watch out for the ubiquitous skinny guy on the posters who reminds us that mall going used to be a madcap social experience.
