Very clean, good variety and awesome little gift shop. I was pleasantly surprised at the range the rest stop had.

We decided to grab dinner here last minute on Saturday night of our trip to Beacon. There were only 5 different food stalls plus the ice cream stall in the very front, however only 3 of the food stalls were open at 7pm on a Saturday. This is a small town, so I get it, but I was thoroughly surprised at this because of how crowded the entire town had been all weekend (it was truly the perfect weather to be out here!). The taco food stall had some Mac and cheese that I really wanted, but he was so overwhelmed with making a large order with only one person helping him that he literally told me to come back in 30 minutes to place my order. I ended up ordering the Pimento Grilled Cheese Sandwich from the burger place, where the guy (working solo) told me it would take about 30 minutes before it would be ready. We were in no rush, and it was DEFINITELY worth the wait!! The ooey gooey cheese paired with perfectly browned Texas toast satisfied my hunger after a long day of hiking and window shopping. My husband ordered the Paneer Kati Roll + Mango Lassi from the Indian food stall. He liked the roll, however we both decided that the lassi was average at best. Additionally, they served it with ice which was a huge disappointment (**being that my husband is from India, we have standards regarding Indian food). I'm giving 4 stars because the overall atmosphere of this food hall was not the best... Definitely NOT enough seating... They didn't seem to have anyone on staff taking care of the place, so the two tables that were empty when we arrived were extremely dirty (we cleaned one ourselves). They also didn't have napkins readily available and only 2 individual restrooms, despite having a bar in the back. Also, it was SO DARK inside... Scarce lighting which was not very pleasant or welcoming, especially since the sun was shining brightly outside. There is an outdoor patio, which is great, however because the weather was nice it was completely full. Final thoughts: this is a great place to grab lunch or dinner with a group of friends, especially if no one can agree on where to go. There's a variety of options and something for everyone to enjoy!

There's a new place in the food court (Salty Dogs) and a second looks about to open up. Dick's, Healthy Living, JC Penney and Homework seem to be doing good business. And--important--the mall is clean and well maintained. There are even live plants in the public spaces. Still, the glory days of the mall (and malls in general) seem to be over. Bon Ton, the movie theater and Sears are gone for good. But Wilton Mall seems to be holding on. Maybe it's not a bad idea to turn the former Bon Ton area into an apartment complex, a controversial proposal. We could be like underground Montreal, living our lives out in the harsh winter without ever venturing outside. I come here to get my steps in when the weather keeps me from walking outside. Two circuits will do you nicely, and just one will give you some healthful exercise. Just watch out for the ubiquitous skinny guy on the posters who reminds us that mall going used to be a madcap social experience. Update: Yelp seems not to want to show my picture of the skinny on posters. Not sure why this is controversial. Walk the mall and see for yourself.

That being said the chair closest to the box office movie theater I think is the most comfortable. My only complaint is I wish the website had more up-to-date information of where the new businesses are going in. I know they're going to be getting new businesses but I don't know where they're going. I think their map is up to date for what is in the mall. I'm not around here on Sundays to go to the flea market but I do know they have a flea market the pictures look like it is an interesting time. FYI on massage chair don't use it more than 5 to 15 minutes unless you want your back to be bruised by the very very strong rollers.

There were 4 or 5 people working the counter and I was the only person waiting for take-out. After about 15 minutes I finally asked what was taking so long. They said, oh there are other orders. Really? for takeout? Then they said their toaster was on the 'low' setting. I should have just asked for a refund and gotten a slice of pizza. Will never be going to this place again!
