Twinkle lights, a neon sign with the phrase "stay wild," plants everywhere and I mean everywhere! Little things that I noticed and loved included a table with a community puzzle and some board/card games, very cool artwork on the walls, and hints of Halloween (skeletons and skulls), my favorite. The community feeling was also very obvious. Everyone was friendly, there were so many cute dogs and people waving and saying hi to each other as they came and went. I loved it. Now, on to the coffee... I was going to be staying put for a while before jumping on the road for a three hour drive so I ended up getting two of their seasonal drinks and a pastry. I always go for the seasonal options and they had several good ones to try. I started with the "peelin' so good," a banana and caramel latte with strawberry drizzle. I opted to get it with oat milk. Oh my goodness, it was so good. You might question banana in a latte, but I've been seeing them pop up everywhere and it was delicious. I also got a babka pastry, which I had never heard of before. It's pretty much a braided roll mixed with a sticky bun. It had cinnamon in it and a syrup over it. I snacked on that while I was there and finished it in my car. Super tasty! Before I left I got the "beez nutz" latte because I knew I would need help staying awake while driving for three hours. It was a honey latte with a peanut butter cold foam. Also delicious. I sipped down every drop. This shop is the perfect mix of dark whimsy, community, and coffee. A special place indeed. Give them a visit!

Anecdote coffee was within walking distance. It was just what we wanted. The shop is on Main Street. We were greeted immediately by a very personable and friendly couple. They were the owners. You order at the front counter where a display of bakery goods catch your attention. They had a whoopi pie made out of oatmeal cookies and marshmallow cream. I had to pass, but I am. Still thinking how good it looked We got a blueberry muffin and coffee They asked if we wanted to stay or go. We were staying and she said we had to have mug so we could sit and enjoy. They heated the muffin. It was fresh and good. Plenty of Berries and crumb topping. Although we sat in the front I noticed there were several comfortable conversation areas. When I came in, I was immediately greeted by Clint, him and his wife Marty are the owners. Eventually, Marty came in while I was there and I got to chat with them. They are very sweet. They also own another coffee shop that I really liked which was the mocha nut, but now they are both under the name Anecdote. The inside had a chillaxed vibe, with comfy seating. The decor reminded me of the mocha nut as they had some of the same wall art. I was undecided of what to order, so I asked Clint for recommendations. He told me of some seasonal drinks and that always peaks my interest. I went for the Red velvet latte with almond milk and it was delicious. I got it hot and really enjoyed it, I'm sure it would be just as tasty cold. I chilled inside while sipping on my latte, sat with my thoughts to prep my day. They have a restroom located all the at in the back of this establishment. n the back area near the restroom, the seats were so comfortable that I enjoyed lingering there with my coffee and having a relaxed start to the day. They offer wi-fi and have the password on display, I'll keep that in mind when needing a quaint place to work/study, with good coffee.

They have a house made chai syrup and different syrups (pistachio specifically) than most places do. It was my first time to sit and enjoy pastries and crepes. The almond croissant did not disappoint and the light, airiness and flavors took me back to the streets of Paris. The crepe took awhile to come out but it was delicious and my friend said it was worth the wait. Drinks include hot coffee, iced coffee, lattes, boba energy, and Pepsi products. They do have both sweet and unsweetened iced tea. The menu also includes Choc-ola! The deli menu includes toasted subs (every sub has 1/4-pound of meat and you can go double for an extra price). They use Boar's Head meats. You can get chips and a soft drink to make it a combo. This strip center is always a little hit-and-miss in terms of access, however, with some nearby road construction it seems just a bit slower and I was able to find a spot that improved my accessibility. If you go to the door by the entrance, the curb has a bit of a step to it. If you go to the end of the aisle, there's a smooth and level section to make it all easily work. The interior itself is nicely laid out and easily accessible. The employees were super friendly. They also offer catering. There's a combination of higher-top tables and regular tables. Business was fairly steady, however, I had no issue finding a place to sit. I ended up ordering a chicken salad sandwich that was a healthy size and quite tasty. I grabbed a bag of chips and my usual unsweetened iced tea. Pricing was right about $13. Overall, I was quite pleased and I would easily return. Unable to find Chocola for sale, we dug in and researched where we might find this elusive Chocola drink and low and behold, we found the owners of Rock Cola Cafe were carrying on the tradition of producing and selling this fine soda. On our way home from a road trip, we decided to add a stop at the Rock Cola Cafe and we were not disappointed. Since I am not a mid-westerner, I had never even heard of Chocola, but one taste and I'm sold! The cafe itself is clean, quaint and inviting with walls, doors and ceilings covered in memorabilia that will keep you busy reminiscing and smiling. Glad we got curious, researched the great mystery of the missing Chocola and found this little gem!

The owner is extremely passionate about her business and how they want to expand. They offer four juice flavors currently and all recipes are original. The Carrot Bliss was by far my favorite and could be a great breakfast drink as it's also flavored with orange. Organic, vegan and they also have coffee and teas. Expansions could include smoothies (YUM), a juice bar so people can customize and activities like yoga. This would also be a great work space! Stop in and show them some love.
