I'd left a message b/c our washer had stopped working. He called back in less than an hour and listened as I explained what the problem was. Tracy stayed on the phone with me for close to an hour while he had me run the washer thru a rinse cycle. He didn't want to hang up until the cycle was completed so he'd know the machine was fine, which it was. He explained that sometimes the 'board' just needs to reset itself after the machine had been unplugged for 45 min or more, which we had done earlier. Tracy is a one-man operation and if I could give ten stars here I would! He could have just as easily come to our home and done everything he had done over the phone and charged us for a service call. Instead he walked me through what he thought needed to be done step by step and all was fine. I did a load of wash after we ended the call without any problem at all. I would most definitely recommend Tracy with Charlie's Appliance Svc. 100%. Any appliance issues I may have in the future, I will definitely be calling Tracy!

They do charge a standard $70 diagnostic fee, which felt fair. Brad gave me a heads-up call before arriving and showed up right on time. Even better, he came fully prepared with the tools and the replacement part needed, so he was able to fix the dryer on the spot. You can really tell he takes pride in his work with great attention to detail, and he even shared some helpful maintenance tips for the future. Best of all, the dryer was fixed the same day, and reassembled properly this time, with no "extra" screws left behind. Fair pricing, friendly service, and high-quality work. They do accept credit cards, but recommend cash or check to avoid a 3% fee (which gave me a reason to dust off my checkbook). Highly recommend, and we'll definitely use them again--hopefully not anytime soon!

Fixing the noise turned out to be a simple job, no parts, minimal labor. What impressed me the most was the high level of knowledge and experience of the technician. I learned my washer is near the end of its life cycle because some components are worn out. It makes more sense and would be more cost effective to replace the washer than replace the worn out parts. I can still use the machine and do my laundry but I now know my timeline of when to replace the machine. My out of pocket expense today was the $119 basic service call charge because no parts were needed and the labor to repair it was very minimal. I was notified 30 minutes in advance of their arrival time.
