Not speedy at all. The attendant spent over 20 minutes processing the paperwork needed which wasn't my issue. My issue is I didn't receive the services I came for. In the end she didn't cash it due to the type of check. Although I called ahead of time to ensure they could cash this type of check, she ended up saying they can't cash it. Was a new customer and filled out all the paperwork. I was told they need to verify my place of work. I gave them the # and even after talking to payroll they still couldn't figure out how to cash my check. They asked for references and even called them and still couldn't verify my check. I've been working there over a year and been cashing my checks without any issues. After telling them I'm going to be late for work and be in trouble with my boss they kept telling me to wait a few more minutes. I had to get serious and asked for my check back sternly. I lost 30 mins of work time just waiting for my check back after their approval process couldn't figure it out. Word of advice use money tree a few streets over. I just have to rave about their payday loans. The money is instantly funded to my debit card in less than 5 minutes each time. I have Chase/J.P. Morgan and never had an issue. Their fee is a bit high, but it's worth it when you need quick cash. I always do their payday loans online because I feel like going in the actual establishment is bothersome. There's never lines, but it's just faster and more convenient to do it online. I always sign that clause that has then automatically take the money out of my acct. I have had this loan for an unfortunate amount of time. Only payday loan company I have used that will not extend to you to your next pay date. Also will not allow you to put your loan into a pay off plan unless your loan is not in good standing. But today pissed me off when 2 separate times I was told I would receive a callback and have yet to hear anything. A couple of days ago I was called by Marlen for an interview for a position they have available. She was extremely nice and courteous on the phone, and she set my interview for Tuesday at 1 pm. After graduating from college this past May, I was very excited to finally be getting interviews, and I showed up to my interview at 12:45. What I'm about to say is still a shock to me because I've never gone through this before, but when I walked in I immediately felt a cold atmosphere. I was not greeted with a "Hello, welcome" nor with a simple smile by either Marlen or the other two ladies working at the time. I walk up to the counter and I say, "My name is.... and I have an interview with Marlen at 1". I glanced down at her name tag and low and behold it says "Marlen". There was no "Oh hello, I'm so-and-so and I'll be handling your interview" none of that. Only "Fill out this application and when you're done bring it back". I was confused because I already filled out an application, she already had my resume, why would I need to do this process over again? Anyway, I finished the application and stood in an EMPTY lobby for a full 5 minutes watching Marlen and her other team members laugh and joke about nonsense until one finally decided to notice me. She took my application and said rather dryly, "Have a seat and she'll call you back when she's ready". 5 minutes pass. 10 minutes pass. And then 20. I have never felt so disrespected in my life! I got up and I walked out of there. I called the corporate HR to let them know of this experience and she was very helpful. She told me that she would forward my situation to the branch manager. My thing is this, over the phone I sound like a completely different person, like a lot of us do, so I don't think she was expecting a Black woman to walk in there for an interview. This was/is a clear case of work place discrimination and I will not stop raising h*ll until Marlen is fired. Imagine how many other qualified people like myself who have experienced this type of behavior from supervisors. I will NEVER go back into this place and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone! This place is horrible and the staff doesn't know what they are doing. They make an error, and charged my card, and then instead of giving me my money back, they tell me it will be 3-5 business days to correct their error!!!! Very unprofessional and honestly that's bs. The girl MARLEN, said she is the only one in charge and no one is above her, when I asked to speak to someone else. She then gives me a phone number and actually says "but they don't really deal with store issues or know anything about the store, just online." Really?!! This is common sense: I go to pay off my loan which is due on the 7th. I ask to re-loan, and she says, did you want it due on the 7th? Ummmmm I just paid off my loan due on the 7th, why would I pay another charge and take out a loan for the same date. Instead of admitting her error, she says people do that allllllll the time. I told her that my payment was due 20 days later in the past, and She then basically calls me a liar and says that "no, our system wouldn't do that so that's not possible. I said it would be in their records....she says their system doesn't show dates in their records. So I pulled up MY bank records and proved to her, and her response was "well then they shouldn't have done that. " You can't pick and chose what protocols to uphold and which ones to ignore, and then tell me that what Im saying never happened. People like MARLEN shouldn't be in customer service if they don't know how to deal with people and don't know how to do their job. read more

I came in for a loan today after having an unpleasant experience elsewhere and was very pleased with the service I was offered, as soon as I walked in I was greeted and called up to a window. I was notified that since I was a new customer I had to fill out an application so I did. When I came up to the window a teller by the name of Marrah was very helpful with the process, She was very friendly as well and was very interested in helping me out, I had completely forgotten I needed a check with me but she notified me that she did not need it and she could use my debit card instead. NEVER get a loan here. I promise you will regret it. I called customer service on Sunday to ask for an extension and they told me it would be extended until Friday. The day after I called I checked my online bank account and Speedy Cash had taken 300$ out. I was then negative 250$. I called customer service and they told me that they never contacted the branch to update my due date. They basically told me there was nothing I could do. In order to pay what I was negative I had to go into the Branch to take out another loan. When I got there they had no notification that I was coming in to get my money. I had to call customer service again and they had never transferred my application to the branch. Now I am out 300$. I am extremely upset, I was robbed by them. And mind you, this is not the first time this has happened with them!!! Horrible people!!!! read more
