    Ever since North Island installed the new ATMs I avoid going there. The new ATMs will only let you…read moretake out hundreds if you're going for anything over 100 you have to be a brain surgery if you're getting money out of the ATM and there's a car two behind you it's not an easy machine to it to navigate I've been there at least 10 times and I always end up with $100 bill and an angry feeling because then I have to go to a store purchased something else with that hundred dollars just so I can use the hundred dollars for what it's intended progress is a headache and this is definitely one. Hopefully North Island will instruct their customers how to use these machines give them a link or something because it's very frustrating. I've been a member forever with North Island and I hate to go somewhere else.

    This is a late review. I have banking with NIFCU for +30 years I went to deposit 1 check on…read more12/23/24. Amber R. was the teller. Amber did not smile, no greeting. I handed Amber my check. My checks issued to me from my husband's long established business in SD; checks are usually a few thousand in amount. Amber uploaded my check, stared at her screen for a questionably long time. I asked is there a problem, and my husband was in the car outside. Amber says no, she needed to check if she can see the whole check. Then she asks me if I know where I got the check. Yes, my husband. She continues to stare at her screen with a concerned look, so I ask again, is there a problem. She says no, you know with the holidays and all. I chuckle and say what does the holidays have to do with my check getting deposited. Amber continues to stare at her screen. I'm sitting there patiently, asking simple questions in a kind manner. So after about 5 or more minutes of her staring, I asked how long she had been working at the bank. Amber then THREW my check at my face! Said in an aggressive tone, "I'm not going to help you! You can get back in line for someone else!" I said thank you to Amber, smiled and walked over to the manager, whom disregarded this incident and said "owe, that's not like her" I contacted corporate after Christmas. I received a call from Treece Caballes the Regional Manager; she was very sweet and apologetic. She told me all that she was "going to do". My next experience in the bank to deposit another large check from my husband...Amber R. now, with a very smug chip-on-her-shoulder, no smile, says how can I help you. She didn't delay depositing my check, but was snarky with her words, and acts like she can do/say whatever she wants, due to upper management cowtowing to Amber R. I brought my husband in the second time to observe, and he was disgusted with her attitude and behavior. He's asked me why I continue to bank there. As another negative review stated, this bank has gone downhill since merging with CCU and the application of DEI practices. Time to leave after 3 decades. There are other great credit unions that take pride in good customer service, and put the members first.

    I went to deposit money here yesterday and could have swore I put in an amount that was counted…read more$200 under. I notified staff and they told me I could make a claim but I didn't feel comfortable with claiming if I just miscounted beforehand and I don't want to drag someone out if it was just a mistake in my end. They let me know they'd call me and update me on the status of the machine, if the $200 was somewhere internally. Melissa was so sweet and called me the following day/today to notify me that the money was spot on and that I did indeed just come in $200 short of what I initially thought. I am very happy that she followed through on her word to update me. I've been doing so much, I completely forgot about this situation until she just called and updated me. Huge shoutout to Melissa at this location for following through in what she said she was going to do! So sweet and look forward to stopping by at this location in the near future.

Phone calls usually take care of my needs quickly. But I happened to be around early this week and decided just to stop by since I missed the staff there. In the past years, i noticed very little turnaround. Theu kept a pretty steady staff for a while, specifically the last couple of years. I love when you walk into a branch and everyone greets you by your name. It was always family talks, even when I was just shopping at the store, I would stop by to say Hi or drop a Starbucks. Thats how much I loved them., especially John, the big guy. Ok,on this day I walk in expecting to see my team and I look around, I cannot recognize a single face. I see a bunch of very young, immature staff, talking to each others and over customers. That felt unprofessional... Anyway, I get called by this teller and asked about the previous staff whereabouts. Her responses were shorts and cold. 1st red flag. All I went for was to replace a lost card. Easiest transaction, right? But she kept asking for every step. No big deal. She must be new. Then I proceeded to leave and just call C.S. She arrogantly replied she was almost done, while still waiting on someone for help. So I patiently waited. And suddenly she abruptly hands over my ID and says " you can call them, its not working" Just like that. I was speechless. I grabbed my stuff and walked out without a word. And to make matters worse to fully display her childishness and unprofessionalism she shouts "you welcome" after I walk out I could not believe my ears. I immediately called C.S to report the lost card and it was solved in seconds. I truly missed the previous staff. They treated their customers like gold and I got used to it. My mistake was that I never took the time to write the stellar review they deserved. I called the manager Marissa? 1 or 2 days later to report the incident. I was actually impressed by her total professionalism. She took time to understand what truly happened. So thank you!!! It's too bad I have to write such a negative feedback because of 1 horrible employee. I could have just let it go. But that last remark was very ghetto
