I dropped my car off for an inspection sticker and four new tire sensors on Wednesday 08/27/2025. Only found out today, Tuesday 09/02/2025, that they need to order and receive the sensors first and that they haven't done the inspection sticker yet. So my car was just sitting there in their lot for more than a few days, without them notifying me of anything like that. They finally did the sticker today after having my car for 3 entire business days before the long weekend. So I paid for a week long pending inspection sticker and frustrated, I brought my car to a tire shop elsewhere and had my car back in an hour and a half (and with a better price). This is the last time I'll be irritated leaving Randolph auto, and I suggest you might want to consider many other auto shops that are honest and that'll treat you like a paying customer. I'll use this review to also plug Town Fair Tire in Quincy as they took me without an appointment, and got me what I wanted in 1.5 hours, compared to almost a week at Randolph auto.

Wrong coolant, Power Steering Reservoir leaking everywhere, rust accumulating, leather wear, scrapes, dents. We also asked for $ off the original price and was automatically shut down saying they can not budge on the already set price when they not one said that in person or text until we arrived to look at it. 2 hour drive by the way. I was ultimately skeptical on purchasing but was pretty sure of it after realizing really nothing mechanical is wrong with it. Until after two weeks of waiting for registration and a week of driving it finally was able to get it checked out in a shop. Got a valve cover job done and while we were inside we noticed a half broken bolt stuck and left inside the engine just inches away from the piston heads. Lemon Law was up by then and rest is history.

In 20 minutes, they did basic car checks (tire pressure, checking the battery, air filters, etc) and changed my oil. When they did check my filters, they took them out and showed them to me directly how clean or dirty they were. At the end, they also showed me the dipstick for the engine oil to show that they filled it up. I appreciated this since I know people are weary of being scammed or ripped off by mechanics. They were professional and while they did recommend some optional work be done for an additional fee, they weren't too pushy about it and I feel like they were honest. FYI there is a 20% off coupon on the Yelp page or just check out the main Valvoline website for a discount (I got $25 off).

Wouldn't trust any ever again and definitely wouldn't trust any locations where Shaun is the area manager! After professionals claim negligence on Valvoline's end caused $13k in damages, Shaun boastfully dared my service manager for me to take him to court because he "wins these cases all the time!" Funnily enough, Shaun only calls me on recorded lines but calls the service manager from other (personal?) phone numbers. Service manager and mechanics discovered this leak is supposedly responsible for the damages which Valvoline likely caused and DEFINITELY missed after they changed the oil!
