I had a deeply disappointing and unprofessional experience with Leo & Walt's Auto Repair that I feel compelled to share. I brought my vehicle in for what I assumed would be a basic inspection and maintenance. Not only did they completely mishandle the situation, but their actions--or lack thereof--put me in a dangerous and costly situation. First off, the shop returned my vehicle and told me it was in good shape and needed no repairs. The mechanic, Wayne, looked me in the eyes and assured me everything was fine. That turned out to be a major lie. Less than 24 hours later, while I was working and driving on the highway--50 miles from home--my vehicle broke down completely and would not start. I had to call AAA and pay $175 out of pocket to have it towed, with two of my employees inside the truck. This was not only an inconvenience but also a loss of time, money, and trust. To make matters worse, Leo & Walt's failed to take my contact information when they took my keys. I had to go back to their shop just to find out what was going on--completely unprofessional and avoidable had they simply taken five seconds to get my number. After taking the vehicle to a different, far more trustworthy shop, I found out the actual issue: bad spark plugs, a faulty coil pack, and two leaks--one from the brake fluid system and one from the power steering. All of this should have been caught by any decent mechanic. Wayne, the head mechanic, was consistently rude, dismissive, and disrespectful throughout the entire process. I also felt that I was treated differently and unfairly based on personal bias and prejudice. I do not use this word lightly, but the treatment I received had unmistakable racial undertones. It's unacceptable in any context--especially in a professional setting. Giving my car to Leo & Walt's was one of the worst decisions I've made. They put my safety and livelihood at risk, cost me hundreds of dollars in avoidable expenses, and treated me with a total lack of respect or professionalism. I would strongly urge others to avoid this shop at all costs. read more

I called ahead for an inspection and was told if I was able to get there within 10 minutes, they could do it. I get there in 6 minutes and immediately a guy waved me off. I wait and explained that there was someone who told me over the phone that if I arrived within a certain time frame, it could be done. He just blew me off and told me "the machines off, there's nothing I can do about it". Well if it's off, then why was I told from the beginning that it could happen? I understand it's a Friday and it's 90 degrees outside; but why does that give a place of service to be rude to a potential customer? No form of apology, no acknowledgment of wrongdoing. Stopped by with a screw in my tire and they plugged it and swapped it with the donut in under 10 minutes! Exceptional service and really great experience. Only cost $20, too. Was referred to them by AAA when they put on the donut for me and it was a great choice. read more

I have been going to these guys for years on the recommendation of a previous customer. They have always been reliable and trustworthy which is so great to find in a mechanic. Once I thought my brakes needed work, and they checked them out and said they didn't need anything (could have charged me big bucks for nothing.) Recently they make an error with a part but made it right for no charge. I don't know much about cars so it's great to have a local place that I can trust. Also, being female, they don't talk down to you, they explain things thoroughly but clearly. And although they don't have the cheapest gas prices, they always wash your windshield and will check the oil if you want; when is the last time you had that level of service? read more

Gas is always high, but one of the few places around that you can fill up a propane tank.

The young guy who pumped the gas was super friendly, and directed me to the back for the air when I asked. It was late and the back gate was closed, so they opened it for me because I went the wrong way. I didn't have enough quarters for the machine, so they offered to use their own machine since I had bought gas from them. Another young guy filled the tires for me. I was so impressed- I would drive here every time I needed gas if I could. Very friendly staff who provide excellent service. Thanks! read more

I took a chance on them when the wheel bearing failed on the Cadillac Escalade, it was a triple A moment and I had them tow it to the nearest garage with a decent rating. They were great, did it the same day and didn't take advantage of me. Then my daughters Subaru had an alarm issue ( failed module) I couldn't reset it tried all the tricks, but no go, so another tow truck ride later and we are back in business for $116. Went in to get a headlight fixed for a ticket and made an appointment for the following morning. We decided to drop the car off and uber back after dinner and while finishing up we received a call from Bill who told us he already took care of the light and we were able to drive home only an hour after dropping it off.
