This is my last visit to Randolph auto. The lack of proper communication from business to customer isn't new to me, I've been neglected by the business before. I dropped my car off for an inspection sticker and four new tire sensors on Wednesday 08/27/2025. Only found out today, Tuesday 09/02/2025, that they need to order and receive the sensors first and that they haven't done the inspection sticker yet. So my car was just sitting there in their lot for more than a few days, without them notifying me of anything like that. They finally did the sticker today after having my car for 3 entire business days before the long weekend. So I paid for a week long pending inspection sticker and frustrated, I brought my car to a tire shop elsewhere and had my car back in an hour and a half (and with a better price). This is the last time I'll be irritated leaving Randolph auto, and I suggest you might want to consider many other auto shops that are honest and that'll treat you like a paying customer. I'll use this review to also plug Town Fair Tire in Quincy as they took me without an appointment, and got me what I wanted in 1.5 hours, compared to almost a week at Randolph auto. read more

No public restrooms!  Really? I've heard of restrooms for customers only,  which is what I thought the sign on the door meant.  So I walked back to get the key.  The woman behind the counter, very unapologetically,  just repeated what the sign said. Still not believing this and thinking that she didn't realize that I was part of the family in the truck that had just gotten a full tank of gas PLUS 3 sodas.   She said it didn't make a difference...no public restrooms. Since travelers rely on restrooms when they stop for fill-ups, I think the owner should post a sign by the nozzles clearly stating ''Our Restrooms Are Not For You'' That kind of honesty would only cause a loss of business so you know that's not going to happen. By the way, this occurred at 6:15pm on a Monday evening on Labor Day.  I will say that I will absolutely never go back to this station nor will any  Mobile Service Stations ever get our business again.  I don't like to spend money at businesses that have poor customer service.  Fyi... there were 3 other gas stations just down the street with lower prices. read more

We were heading to North Carolina on Sat (about 14 hours from Randolph) and wanted to insure our 16 year old Honda CRV was ok for the trip! We called and made an appointment to insure we could have our car inspected so we wouldn't face a problem on this trip. Even though they were extremely busy, they took our car in!!! Unbelievable customer service was provided as they were able to take our car on short notice. We received the car back the same day and were extremely satisfied with the outstanding customer service from Alex, Mike and Sean on our car. Our fan belt needed changing, and we needed our air conditioning serviced as it was not as cold as it could have been. Given the heat and humidity we have had recently, it would have been a nightmare of a trip. They also suggested an oil change, given the amount of miles for this trip. They checked all the tire pressures and also checked for what we thought was a leak of oil (it was not). We are very comfortable now to go on this trip, knowing that our car has been checked out!! We are so glad for the outstanding service and support that Randolph Automotive provides and continues to provide for our family! We can now fully enjoy our trip and not worry that something is wrong with the car!!! Outstanding and very trust worthy service!!! Thank you so much!!! read more

I just call this The Mobil gas station on N. Main St. I have been getting my gas and having my car repaired here for years. They get the job done right the 1st time, so need to come back. They have $.05 off on Tuesday & Saturdays. Which is always a plus but also very busy on those 2 days. They also offer free air for your tires which is always great, since most places charge for air nowadays read more

So day before major rain my drivers side wiper won't work so like everyone else I go online and look up repair cost it says anywhere between 20-220 dollars so I head to Mobil on N Main St been going there since before the remodel - they take my car in then 5 mins later they say it's ready a bolt was loose on the wiper arm NO CHARGE this is integrity and professional at its finest. This place gets top marks from me. I stopped in on 5 April, 2017, while I was in the midst of a DIY modification/repair to my car. I had gotten 90% of the way to completion, when I was foiled by three rusted bolts. Knowing that I had neither the tools nor the experience of working with a blowtorch, I headed over to Randolph Automotive. From the onset, I noticed how neat and clean the whole place was. The front desk attendant (Marylou, I believe) was quite welcoming, as I asked to briefly speak with one of the guys in the shop. I explained the situation to Chris (the mechanic), and he told me that he could help me out right away. He was totally understanding of my situation, and not 5 minutes after I had given him my car, he returned it to me with the bolts cleanly removed. They even did me the kindness of removing the exhaust section that I was replacing, and not charging me for scrapping it. The professionalism, efficiency, and VERY reasonably priced work which I experienced here is a key factor in my 5-star review. I would not recommend taking your car here. I knew exactly what the problem was, I needed a fuel line replacement. I told them that's what I wanted when I dropped it off and wanted to know how much it would cost for them to do the work. A couple hours later I was given a quote that I wasn't happy with. I know the repair should only take about an hour at most, but was quoted 2 hours for labor. When I told the shop I wouldn't be doing the repairs there, I get hit with a $115 "diagnostic" fee, which they provided me with no new information at all. They say the fee is posted in the office, which it's posted on a 1 page print out, and I was not notified ahead of time by the desk I would have this "fee" if I didn't do the repairs there. Most mechanic shops will tell you how much they'll do the repair for, for free. This feels like extortion. Again, I did not take my car here to find out what the problem was, I was already aware. I will never take another vehicle here again, and I suggest you don't either. read more

My mother-in-law has moved here from VA to help with daycare of our son. On rare occasions my mother-in-laws car would fail to start. Not wanting to get stuck or break down far from home, she brought her car to the Randolph Automotive Servicenter. After explaining the situation to the mechanic, my mother-in-law trustfully left her car to be analyzed and repaired as needed. It was diagnosed that the spark plugs, ignition coil and the cords that go along with the coil needed replacing due to a leak. Once replaced, the mechanic took the car for a drive and discovered another issue with the car. The air flow sensor had a leak. My mother-in-law was called and told they were test driving the car after the initial repairs and found another problem that needed to be repaired. Mind you that the air flow sensor has nothing to do with the original problem the car was brought in for and was not needed for the car to start or run. All this at a tune of nearly $700. Here is the kicker...two days later the car didn't start. All this work and Randolph Automotive Servicenter, including Shop Manager Bill and mechanic Hugh, had not fixed the problem. All I have to say to Bill and Hugh is "be honest!" If you don't know what the problem is just say so. You clearly saw a 70+ year old women, with VA plates and knew you could take advantage of her. Not wanting to return to Randolph Automotive Servicenter, my mother-in-law took the car to another garage. The fuel pump was replaced and the car has been starting/running fine. I recommend finding an alternative to Randolph Automotive Servicenter as it has been proven that Bill runs a dishonest operation. read more
