My wheels in need of some work
    Eder G.

I recently got my rims powder coated and I had an issue with my tires after they were installed back on my vehicle. My tires kept losing air and wouldn't hold any air after refilling up the tires with air. I figured that something must have been left behind on my rims after my rims were powder coated that was causing them to lose air. We took one of my wheels to this friendly neighborhood tire shop to have it looked at and accessed. The staff here is always friendly and charges fairly regardless whether the job is small or big. We let one of the young staff members know what the problem with the tire was and he quickly without any hesitation got to work on the tire. The young man let us know that there was something in the tire that was causing the tire to lose pressure which is what we suspected. Aware that my rims were just recently powder coated the young man took his time and carefully removed the tire from the rim and found out what the problem was. The person who had powder coated my rims had left behind a metal wire in my rim that he used to hang the rim while painting it. The young man took the wire off the rim and carefully put back on the tire without scratching the rim. I was very happy with the outcome of the job and he charged us fairly. However, this wasn't the last time I would have to bring back my car to Speedy Zone Tires because I suspected that the rest of my tires had the same issue. The next day we took my vehicle back to the same young man and we asked him to check all the tires for me to make sure none of them had any wires in them. The young man happily obliged and got to work on my car. He took off the rest of my tires and carefully took off the rims without scratching anything. He found another wire on one of the wheels but the rest were fine. He put all the rims back on the tires and then the tires on my car without any problems. He charged me a good price and I definitely appreciated the time and patience he took with my tires and rims. Now I can safely drive my car around without having to worry about any issues. These guys do good work and have fair prices. They always are friendly and have good work ethic. I went to another tire shop near Speedy Zone Tires on Western and they were so lazy they didn't even want to take off the wheel off the rim to check them. You can't put a price on good customer service. Save yourself the headache and pay these friendly dudes a visit.

In connection with a planned 2000 mile trip, I took the SUV to my long-time mechanic, Ise Automotive, in Los Feliz. When I picked up the car, I was told that there was something "odd" about the Michelin tires on the vehicle and that I should have them checked out by a tire expert. He recommended American Tire Centers, with whom he'd done business for decades. I was skeptical, as I'd put very few miles on the tires, but nevertheless called American to determine when I might have them inspected. Vahe ("Vic") said I could bring in the vehicle the same afternoon. When I arrived, the lot was filled with cars under some stage of repair or replacement. Nevertheless, Vic turned immediately to examining my Michelin tires. To my untutored eye, they looked pristine. However, after completing his inspection, Vic said that due to their age, the rubber was separating from the material beneath. This, he told me, is why tire warranties are valid for a maximum number of Miles (usually 50,000) OR time period (in this case, five years). It was clear I was going to have to replace the tires. The question, then, was "With what?" At the age of 80, I am a "careful" consumer. When I'm teeing up to buy a product or to commission a service, I do my homework. In this case, however, it had largely been done for me. Paired with a string of online recommendations attesting to the honesty of the shop, I also had absolute confidence in my mechanic of several decades, who had sent me to Vic with his endorsement. I purchased a set of four new Michelins. Vic said he'd do an alignment only if it were necessary. The next morning (less than 24 hours after I'd been advised by my mechanic to have an expert inspect the tires), the car was ready for pickup. Vic told me to bring it back for inspection when I returned from my trip. Conclusion: I could not have been happier or more impressed with the treatment accorded me by Vic and his colleagues. They were professional, prompt and, I believe, honest in their pricing. Based upon my experience, I've no hesitancy in recommending them without reservation.

I drive a Mercedes Benz SUV and the original tires were expensive and I was dreading the worst in price! The staff were amazing and service and communication was deserving of the 5 stars and above! I highly recommend!

However, I took my car "that I've always taken to the dealer for an oil change" here. And the next day it was leaking oil everywhere. Unfortunately, I wasn't in town to bring it right away, and had to bring it back to the shop about 2 weeks later . (Still leaking btw) they said it was the "gasKeT" and I would have to pay another $48 to get this repaired. They said I should have brought it the day after i got the oil changed. Later after all the back and forth they offered to cover the costs for labor ,but I would have to pay for the part. Which was $3. I did not expect for them to charge me at all considering i had returned literally about 2 weeks later. (And called them over the phone twice to advise what was going on" They said i was "taking advantage" and told me god was watching. They said there was no way of knowing the part was damaged or defective . In my opinion they should have checked the gasket while doing the oil change . I ended up paying $10 which I didn't feel was fair but; at least they could pay off their $3 part they replaced. Next day after the lecture and "repair" ITS LEAKING AGAIN! haaaahahah now I have to go to the dealer and figure out what they broke on my car. I'm glad I didn't pay the $48 the second time around considering I came in with a car that was perfectly fine and left with a leaking car . THANK YOU LA TIRES AND AUTO BODY SHOP !!! :) I've spent $120 total for oil, filter, labor, a "gasket" and now I have a car with a bigger problem and NO OIL . DO NOT GO HERE !
