This place is located on Broadway about 1/2 mile South and East of the Spencer's on 1st Ave. There is only street parking on Hibbert St which is like a dirt road. This is more of a close out store rather than a regular Spencer's. There probably are some good deals if you know what you are looking for. I posted on photo of a stove. They also have refrigerators and other large appliances. I was looking for countertop microwave which they did not have here. Worth a walkthrough since you probably went to the o r on 1st Ave and this one is close. read more

I ordered a refrigerator to be delivered to a tenant's condo. I spoke with Curt and made the phone order and arranged for haul away for the old refrigerator. On delivery day the driver refused to take the refrigerator away leaving a problem of having no where to put the old fridge. They have a very strict policy and one dead cockroach my tenant missed when cleaning out the back was the reason they gave for not taking it away. I called Curt to see what could be done and inquire about canceling the order until a solution could be found for my vulnerable tenant to deal with the problem the old fridge now presented. Curt was unprofessional and very rude. He repeatedly told me I was being ridiculous and unreasonable. I was trying to inquire what can be done about the fridge and what my tenant can do and Curt refused to answer questions, just repeating "Where do you want them to put the fridge? WHERE DO YOU WANT THEM TO PUT THE FRIDGE" I had to remind him I was trying to solve a problem and needed to get some information from him about what his driver could do just to get him to stop. It was obnoxious and unhelpful. So, dealing with Spencer's left me having to pay for the appliance to be removed from the condos parking lot on top of what I paid to Spencer's to take it way, got fined by my HOA for having the refrigerator moved to the parking lot to wait to be removed and I am out the money I paid to Spencer's to remove it. As life long Spencer's customers relying on them for my rentals and own appliances, I will be moving on and will never do business with them again. Providing polite customer service and treating customers with respect is not a negotiable thing. read more

The sales people here Suck and no one stands behind them.......NO ONE! My wife wanted to purchase a new set of Washer/dryer and was talked into a very nice expensive set of Maytags. When I asked about the lack of a filter door we were told that "they never needed to be serviced" and not to worry about it. Turns out the service section calls for annual cleaning of the water pump filter and it is a service call item on that model.....who would of thunk it?! So we bought them anyways and within a year the LEDs on the control panels wouldn't go out and stayed lit ALWAYS. 3 service calls later we were told that we couldn't return/exchange them for a working pair and it was our "tough luck"! We hate this place and know in advance it's "BUYER BEWARE"! read more

We purchased a gas stove from the Broadway location but our licensed contractors refused to hook up because it was an unsafe appliance. When we went to exchange it they charged a fee explaining "they didn't know if we took parts off" the manager wouldn't look me in the eye and kept dodging my questions. He said it was another manager "Joe" who wouldn't budge on the fee... even if it cost losing a customer. I understand fee's if it was a choice but selling me an "unsafe appliance" should have come with an apology not a fee! read more

So plan to wait your day cause they won't schedule the two hour window with you, they don't have the capability. Staff works for their convenience not the customers. read more

My overall experience with Spencer's over the years has been a five! The one exception has been with our most recent experience with their salesman at their East Broadway location in Mesa. We physically went to the store. We had a picture and model number of the GE unit that we wanted to buy. He tried to get us to change to two other brands, over our objections. He found a GE unit, wrote it up, and delivered it. It wasn't the finish we showed him. He did what was convenient for him. Thankfully Spencer's is Doing The Right Thing!!! They are replacing the unit with the one we originally requested, showing us once again that they love their customers! They have the greatest support team anywhere!!! read more

I am very happy with the whole experience with Spencer's. Mike was very helpful and thorough in explaining the differences in the appliances that I had to choose from. Once I found what I wanted, the ordering process was very easy and the price was right! Delivery was two days later and that went very smoothly. They arrived when they said they would and Aaron was very professional and thorough in explaining the correct temperatures on the freezer and refrigerator sides and also gave me all of the information if for some reason, the refrigerator wasn't working correctly. Our property management hired Spencer's to install a new washer/dryer unit. We thought it went well... at first. Turns out something is wrong with our hot water spigot., so we instructed him just hook up the cold water so we can do laundry and I'll have property management call the plumber. We run a load of laundry on cold... leaks all over the floor. Water just pours out from behind the appliance. The plumber comes out a few days later to figure out what's going on. Turns out since Spencer's didn't hook up the hot water, he also didn't put a plug on that part of the unit to prevent a leak. Now we have to wait additional days for the plumber to come back out with the proper parts to fix what Spencer's did wayyyyy wrong. And hope our floors haven't been ruined too. Here's a novel idea.... Have install techs that actually know what they're doing. The only thing this guy was "good" at was causing extra headaches. read more

I had a great experience at this used appliance store. My refrigerator broke about a few months ago and stopped by here to get a replacement because I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on a fridge. My car needed repairs, so I wasn't ready to purchase another item. My brother suggested that I check out this business. I'm glad I did! There was a slight issue, however, but it got resolved very quickly. Everything considered I'm pretty happy with the brand and the fridge that I bought from this store. He regularly updated us as the time changed due to others canceling their deliveries. Aaron was friendly, professional, and even wore a mask in our home since I'm immune suppressed from a heart transplant! He is an excellent representative for Spencer's! BUYER BEWARE!!!!!! Went into buy a new ice maker. We requested a KitchenAid and were told none would be available for months (not true, but we were dumb enough to believe them). They instead sold us a U-Line (whatever brand that is). This ice maker is a joke! Doesn't close well, the ice cubes are hollow in the center so they melt incredibly fast, and the ice comes out in sheets so you need an ice pick to break up the ice so it will fit in a cup. During the entire time no mention of the fact that there would be NO RETURN for this 3k purchase. They were willing to give us $1200.00. Really??? Do your homework before you go in on line, and don't trust anything the sales people say, be smarter than we were. We were hustled! read more

I purchased a refurbished washing machine from Spencer's TV & Appliance outlet, and when it was delivered it did not work. The delivery man had to take my old washer back off of his truck and rehook it back up, and take the one I purchased away. I was eventually refunded my money and chalked it up to a fluke. Several months later I purchased a refurbished dryer from them, after relating my story of the non-working washing machine. Today the same delivery man brought the dryer I purchased, and when we tried it out it did not work. We were both just mystified how I could purchase two appliances from this outlet and neither worked upon delivery. Apparently the outlet closed early today since it is New Year's Eve, so I will not be able to call them for two more days to try to rectify the situation. read more

We have bought all of our appliances from Spencers and never had a problem. The beginning of November our dishwasher top tray was stuck and we couldn't close the door. The dishwasher is still under warranty so we called Spencers to send a repairman. That was on a Monday and they told us that they would send someone out the following Monday. Not happy but didn't have a choice. The repairman came out the following Monday and said that this was a common problem, but he would have to order the part and would return in 3 days. Since we hadn't heard anything, we called on Friday only to learn that the part had not yet arrived. This has now been a month since we haven't been able to use our dishwasher! 2 days ago I submitted a complaint on their website and have not received a response! A company is only as good as the service they provide and Spencers SUCKS! read more

I have done business with Spencers for new appliances and have been very happy with the experience, so when we needed a new second refrigerator the Outlet seemed like a good option. Unfortunately, it wasn't. I would not use the outlet again and advice any of you planning to do so to ask a bunch of questions before purchasing. To keep this review as short as I can, we bought a refrigerator so that we could stock up on food in the middle of a pandemic. A few days after delivery, we noticed that the freezer wasn't working properly. They sent out a technician in a timely manner, who determined that the refrigerator needed to be replaced. They sent the replacement refrigerator and the freezer on that one didn't work properly, either. So they sent the technician back again. He installed a new motor but that didn't solve the problem. So we've now received two different refrigerators and the freezer didn't work properly in either. The people at the outlet agreed to refund my money as soon as they came to pick up the second refrigerator. I asked that the salesman call me to discuss because I was in a situation where we really needed a refrigerator/freezer - we relied on the initial purchase and stocked up on food since grocery shopping is still hit-and-miss. The salesman never got in touch with me. In order to not have to coordinate delivery of a new fridge with pickup of the non-working one and to figure out what to do with all the food, etc., I called a Spencer's location to discuss purchasing a new refrigerator instead. Almost three weeks into this saga, the new fridge was delivered. It works fine, we are happy with it. Only the service technician offered any sort of an apology. Nobody else apologized for the inconvenience, especially during a pandemic, that this caused us. No discount on the new refrigerator was offered. The rating is two stars because the service aspects, other than the salesman that didn't get back in touch with me, were good. But beware the "refurbished" description. After my experience, I don't think they do any quality control at all. If they had, there is no what I'd have experienced what I did. read more

I bought a refrigerator from the store at 160 E. Broadway in Mesa AZ. A new frigidaire from the factory. The light started flickering the day after I got it so I called their repair service (Goldwing, in the back of the same building spencers is in). A guy came and took about two minutes to look at it and, since he spoke very little english and constantly talked over me, he didn't get anything I tried to say to him. He left thinking it was just the lights, and paid no attention to me when I tried to tell him that when the light went on & off the freezer fan did too, so it might not be that simple. Within days the fridge died completely, and I have have been trying to get spencers to do...anything. Someone in a spencers uniform and driving a spencers truck did come and take another look at it-they were wrong about the problem too- and after the third visit another guy admitted that it was a bad power control part. I have been told that they have the part (today, nobody knows a thing about that) after which I was told that I would get a call from Goldwing (I didn't) and they would be out today to fix it (they won't). Goldwing says they can't come out until the 17th, a week from now, and have no record about today. Spencers, of course, knows nothing about that, a person I have talked to, just a couple of days ago, says he doesn't remember me, and that he will "look into it". He said that last time. I have medication that needs to be kept cold or it becomes useless and have to get ice every day for that. I was assured that it would be fixed sooner than it would take to get a loaner to me so I should just wait. Wherever the loaner is, I could push it to my house in less than a week. I will update as things happen, or don't. I have absolutely no confidence in this company and will never, ever buy anything from them again. read more
