1/11/2026 The temperature outside was 33 degrees. We went to see Greenland 2, the 2:20 show. It was so cold in theater 3 that we didn't take our winter coats off and could drink our soft drinks. People were complaining about how cold it was. We went into the lobby just to warm up and missed parts of the movie. Very disappointing. The facility seems to be going downhill. read more

So disappointing. Hardly any movies were being shown, yet they put us in a theater that did not have recliners, nor was the speaker system properly adjusted. When I mentioned it to the staff afterward, they said "yeah we know that the sound system isn't great." We will probably not go to that theater again. read more

I happened to be in town with a few hours to kill so I decided to see a movie. This is a nice theater. In the 1st 6 or so rows they have the recliner seats. I've tried these at other theaters and liked them, others seem to love them. However I don't like sitting that close to the screen so I had to use one of their regular chairs. Wow these seats were awesome. Leather and very plush. Not tight fitting. One of the best theater seats I have ever sat it. Loved it. It may not recline, but it doesn't need to. The picture and sound were great. The theater was very modern looking and clean. I wish this theater wasn't 45 minutes away from me because it would be my go-to. Overall 5 stars. Would I return? In a heartbeat. read more

Absolutely love coming here now that they've remodeled. Just can't beat those recliners, I bring a blanket with me to the movies now! It's assigned seating now and I love being able to skip the line and buy my own seat at the self serve kiosk. The theaters don't fit nearly as many people as they did before the reno though so get there pretty early or buy tickets before if you want a good seat, especially for the big movies. You don't want to have to drive over to Star 8 to make their next showing and sit in those scratchy old stained chairs. I don't ever buy concessions so I can't comment on that! read more

Good theatre! I've got to get used to the set up though. I went here to see Venom (amazing movie) and I'm new to the area so I tried this theatre. I was in theatre 2 and I love the plush seats and the cheeky silver cup holders. There's plenty of space to sprawl out and get comfortable and the cushiony leather seats recline which I loved as well. I will say reclining chairs are a must due to the set up. I don't like that there is little to no incline from the front to the back of the theatre so you can't really sit straight up if you wanted to, to enjoy the movie. The desk staff were ok, nothing exceptional but that works, at least they weren't rude. ‍ I'll be back to this theatre to see other movies. I like Holland 7 overall! read more

I love this theatre! All theaters have big comfy recliners. The staff is always very friendly and the theatre is always clean. Their rewards program is is great and I feel like I rack up reward really fast. The popcorn is fresh and delicious and the soda is always delicious. This is the best theatre in town! read more

This theater is the best in Holland, far superior in my opinion to AMC Holland 8 down the street. The movie going experiences that I have enjoyed here have been very satisfactory and delightful. The ticket lines are very quick and they even have the option to purchase tickets ahead of time. Many theaters have that now but they seem to be quicker when checking in. They very recently added new reclining seats to their theaters which are remarkably comfortable! You're able to select your seats ahead of time online so you don't have to worry about showing up early or having to sit in the very front. We sat in the third row for a show and even though we were on the closer end the picture quality was great and because we had the recliner it didn't feel like we were craning our necks to see the movie. The only issue that I have with this theater is that they have Pepsi products and I'm a Coke guy myself read more

This place has really gotten run down since the last time we've been in. Upholstery on the seats is cracked and EVERYTHING felt sticky. Our party of 4 was half of the people in the theater at a 5pm showing on a Monday night. An employee reprimanded us for whispering, but ignored the couple in front of us enjoying BYOB cans of White Claw. I guess they've got their priorities straight. My family won't be back at any rate when there are two better options in Holland. read more

This post hurts my heart to write. I realize in the grand scheme of things, its a small matter. But I believe we need to stand up and say something when we know something is wrong. And this was wrong. If you're looking for a more clear example of bullying you won't find it. On Saturday June 8th, my sweet parents went to The Goodrich Quality Theaters in Holland, Michigan with my niece and two nephews they were babysitting for the weekend. Upon purchasing their tickets, the front desk cashier told my dad the theaters were assigned seating only so they had to pick their seats at the time of purchase. My parents, who are not tech savvy at all, you all know this; explained to the attendant that they were from a different state, had never been in this theater, and needed help choosing seats. My dad asked if the staff would help them find their seats and was told no. After purchasing their popcorn and drinks, my parents took the kids into the theater, where the previews had already started and were unable to read the seat numbers in the dark. So they chose open seats and got settled in. SEVERAL minutes later, after the movie had already started, my dad, a senior citizen, who was on the aisle was approached by three "college-age" girls said that my parents and the kids were in their seats. They demanded my parents move out of their seats. My dad refused. The girls went at got a "manager" who also my parents and the kids "move out of these ladies' seats." My dad and my mom, also a senior (with a full head of gray hair to prove it) also refused. There were plenty of other open seats in this theater. The manager then told my parents that not only were they going to move, they were going to leave the theater. My parents refused. The manager then stated that if my parents didn't leave they were GOING TO CALL THE POLICE to have them excorted off the premises or arrested. Threatened with the police, my parents and niece and nephew were obviously scared and my parents said fine they would leave and asked the children to pick up their things. Then another manager finally came in and said that no my parents didn't have to leave, my parents and the kids all shuffled all their snacks and drinks to another theater while the 3 college-girls and managers watched (and laughed.) After the movie, the managers were standing by the exits and as my parents left with their grandkids explained to the staff that they didn't understand the seat assignment rule. My mom said all of the managers just smiled at them (& not in a nice way) and kept repeating "its corporate policy." So today I called the corporate office of Goodrich Quality Theaters. I spoke with Dan. He knew exactly what situation I was talking about before I really even got started. And Dan has obviously had some basic training in customer service technique. He offered me gift cards to "take care of me." He agreed that the situation did not warrant threatening to call the police on my senior parents and their grandchildren. He said he'd spoken to the General Manager of the Holland 7 theater who admitted that his sous manager had done so. And that the General Manager was the one who so graciously allowed my senior parents to stay and watch the movie. Dan explained to me that the corporate policy DOES call for calling the police on patrons who are "rowdy or out-of-control" but verbalized that was more directed at teenagers. Dan agreed that the staff was wrong to tell my parents and the kids they had to leave the theater. Dan said he understood that the staff at GQT Holland 7 scared two senior citizens and 3 children all under the age of 10, who were there to see a kids' movie on a Saturday evening. Dan didn't agree with everything I'd been told had happened. He said he believes my "parents lied about asking for help" finding their seats. Anyone who has seen my parents with their cell phones know they constantly ask for help with anything remotely technical. Dan, in all his customer service wisdom, then asked me the ultimate customer service question...what I would do if it was me who found other people in my "seats I had paid for?' And I still say 1000% if I came upon two seniors with three little kids in an unfilled theater, I'd go sit myself someplace else. Dan said he'd also tell those seniors to move. And at this point I knew the conversation was over. Dan kept trying to "take care of" of me. But I have no need for movie theater gift cards Dan. What I need is for GQT to see that continuing to employ staff that threatens two grandparents and their grandchildren with Police action is unsafe. We were so excited when they started remodeling this theater. But we have been so disappointed every time we go now since the remodeling is done It is very common to stand in the ticket line for 15 minutes and then you have to stand in the concession line for another 15 minutes. I'm not sure if it is customers having trouble with the new technology or employees just unable to get people moving through the lines but this long wait thing going on at this theater is crazy annoying The one good thing is the place is very nice and updated and seats are great. But please find that great customer service we had in the past Figured I would update service has been much better the past few visits. read more

I came here to see Star Wars. Part of my visit was 1-star and the other 5, hence my 3-star rating: The one star is for the weird setup while waiting in line. We had already purchased our tickets earlier yet had to wait in a long line that seemed be shared with the concession stand? I'm hoping this changed after finishing the remodel but I haven't been back yet. Waiting in line for the movie itself (once through the concession line) wasn't bad. The movie experience was definitely 5 stars as we not only enjoyed the movie but loved the reclining seats! They just might be too comfortable since I'm great at falling asleep. Oh, come on! Don't you judge me; I bet most of you got a few zzz's at a movie before. ;) Edit: I bumped them up a star because I forgot to consider cleanliness and friendliness in my initial review. My boyfriend and I come very frequently to this movie theater. The recliner seats are awesome and very comfortable, which makes the movie more enjoyable to watch. Prices for tickets and concessions are cheaper here than I have experienced from going other places. We signed up for a free frequent movie goers card which gives discounts to concessions and movies as well read more

Local movie theater. You have two choices in Holland if you want to go to the movies. Both places are rather old. I prefer the Holland 7 over the other Location because of their slightly cheaper concession! Only 50 cent popcorn refills. You can't go wrong with that! read more

All movie theatres are getting expensive, but this place is trying to keep the costs down. This is an older facility, but they offer some free Sunday movies and some cheap food and frequent movie goer options that make this the better theatre in our little town. read more

Great theater. Clean (***cough cough AMC Holland 8***), has amazing reclining seats. Picture size + quality could use some work which is why I dock a star. It's not the worst but other theaters in the area have stepped up their game in that department. Would highly recommend over AMC Holland 8 which is a slimy, greasy mess. read more

1st: THE BATHROOMS ARE DISGUSTING. seriously, there is a level of grime that looks 20 years old. as with all movie theatres their concessions are very expensive ($10.50 for medium pop and popcorn), but the free refill and $.50 popcorn refill kinda make up for it...if you dont mind missing part of the movie to get it. saw CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, it was a saturday afternoon, and it was VERY busy. but i got there almost after the movie started, so the lines were gone. however, with 5 people behind the counter, i stood there being avoided by all employees waiting to get my popcorn and pop ( again, i was missing the movie so i was in a hurry) you'd think 1 of them in a confined space would have noticed, but instead were just hanging out and talking (including 2 managers). i'm not all too impressed, however i'm not impressed with the competition so it's not like i wont go back...i really just wish their corporate owners would clean the place up and make it look decent. read more
