First time here for a private party and i cannot say enough great things about not only the food but the staff also. By far one of the best upcoming restaurants in the Hudson valley. The pizza was so flavorful, fresh with perfect crust n that's coming from someone whose family owned pizzeria for years. Another must have is the house made penelle which aside from my nonna making it I've never had in any restaurant. Last but not least the cannoli were some of the best I've had in months. There were six of us, most had pizza and a drink or two. Food, average at best Ambiance, terrible, so noisy could not hear person across the table Service, OK Price, very expensive for what we got. They automatically added 20% tip mixed in with items on the bill. Bottom of bill had prominent notice for tip. Did not tell me tip was already included, I felt like they were trying to get extra tip. Then charged extra for using credit card. Total bill was $326. Overall, poor value and ambiance, will not go back. read more

The food was excellent...our party had calamari, pizza, pasta, pork chops, and cannoli. Our server was excellent. The restaurant looks nice and is in a convenient location for us. We are sad that we will not return here or recommend it to others because the music was so loud that we could barely hear each other talking. It's unbelievable that professionals could design and build a restaurant that does not take into account that the diners come there for a social time where they want to enjoy each others' company by listening and talking. read more

I just left here and had to write a review which is rare. But the food, the service, and the atmosphere were all top notch.

Food wise, we had Lunch so this is based on the lunch order. The Margarita pizza was absolutely amazing. crust was crunchy and very tasty. the sauce was so good, if I was to ask for anything more it would be more basil. But, hey that's me, I love basil. Then we had the unbelievable onion soup. oh my goodness,, yes that's right oh my goodness. This onion soup is definitely the best I have ever had. I told the chefs thank you, because they deserved the praise. If I was to say anything I was not crazy about the espresso martini but I am not holding a place down for that reason. Oh my goodness. Food was so good. Service was so good. Dessert was so good. We were lucky to sit at the bar where we got to watch all the food being made, and everything looked perfect. The teamwork was a sight and totally worth the wait. They were super busy all night, and I totally understand why everyone would want to come to this new restaurant. So you have to be a bit patient. We ordered the scallops which were cooked perfectly. The risotto with the scallops were fabulous. We shared the pork chop which had nice char and juicy inside. I am coming back tomorrow to have more of the chocolate Olio D'Olivia cake. read more

I never go to new restaurants , so this would be an exception. Normally it takes months for a new restaurant to get the kitchen together and the wait staff trained, but Spettro is the exception. I had the scallops and I hesitate to call a dish perfect but it really was. Most restaurants use cheap aluminum sauté pans, this place wax no exception but for my scallops the chef pulled out a cast iron skillet and got the most perfect sear I have ever seen, not that dark beige from a typical pan but beautiful brown caramelization t at makes this dish so special. We also had a pizza that was very good and an unusual take on grilled romaine ala Ceaser. Nice wine choices by the glass also. The place was full house @ 5:30 I thought was surprising. We were lucky to get seat. Shortly after we were seated a large group came to the door including a party of 10, and instead of the typical response the staff got everyone seated pretty quickly. Impressive service staff, our waitress was great! A plus is we got to sit in front of the line and watch the kitchen staff work. Bert nice presentation on all the dishes we saw go out.
