Enjoyed a fantastic brunch here. The food was delicious- the potatoes that came with my Benedict were a standout and I'd come back just for them- crispy but not oily, crunchy outside and fluffy inside. Eggs were nicely poached, could have use a bit more sauce! Was listed on the menu as Bernaise but looked and tasted more like the usual Hollandaise. I meant to ask for more but the actual dish would benefit from more generous saucing. Latte was delicious- nice and hot, and the espresso had a good smooth taste. A couple points of feedback- could benefit from putting notes about GF substitutions on the menu. I asked just in case and found out there was GF bread, pasta and pizza crust available. I didn't see that on any menu and wouldn't have known otherwise- seems more beneficial to list them instead of relying on diners to inquire. Second- the chairs. Metal with a curved back- the small tables are fine, but don't leave room for purses, and it was nearly impossible to keep my bag on the chair. Not super comfortable either- something to think about. Otherwise a really solid place to eat and will return to try out dinner. read more

I dropped in for lunch on a weekday. If you're reading this, pay attention to their hours because they close pretty early for lunchtime. I sat at the bar and ordered a degausser pizza. My food came quick, and I thought the pizza was super tasty. I really liked the sauce. I thought it tasted even better when I heated it up at home. Being a NYC/Jersey City local, I tend to shy away from pizza when I'm out of town, because I'm not likely to find as good as I have at home. Well, I am glad we decided to have brunch at Spettro while we were camping nearby because the food was great, awesome wine, and the outdoor seating was the perfect way to enjoy a fall day. The pizza was great and the salad was outstanding. We dined with our dogs and our waitress was so welcoming; the entire staff made us feel right at home. We came here tonight for the first time, made reservations. Highly recommend. Upon walking in we were greeted right away and brought to our table. Was not very happy with the two table options that they had as they were literally next to the folks sitting at the bar so we did decide to get seats along the window facing the street. Our server greeted us right away was very helpful. Got us our drinks. I decided to have "the dawn" which was delicious. For the appetizer we decided to go with the wings. I will give fair notice that I am a wing snob and I was very impressed with these wings. Also, they served it with blue cheese. That was really good. The "buffalo sauce " was left to be desired. Good seasoning on the wings tho. For dinner we shared the Cacio de pepe and pep and pep pizza. Both very good. Highly recommend! Street parking. Spettro had great relaxing vibes on a Sunday afternoon for lunchtime. It also had a mixed crowd of different age groups that's why it looked more like a neighborhood favorite. We ordered Bianca pizza and Panelle for the main course. The pizza was good just a little extra ricotta but if you remove a little bit of that it is great. The panelle was interesting but missed little sauces in it. It was a bit dry. For drinks, we ordered westerly winds and peach mint mocktail both were good. I loved the peach mint mocktail. Dessert was a disappointment. We ordered Brioche con gelato and it took 15 minutes to come. When we saw the final product it was just a bun with gelato and strawberries in it. Second time dining at Spettro. First was just after opening and I wanted to try them again before reviewing. The interior space is beautiful. Lots of seating by the door, which is chilly in winter but they have a heat air curtain to kind of shield you. Seating is not super well spaced out so it can feel a little cramped in the main dining area with winter coats and such. Food is pretty good. Pretty much just salad, sandwiches, and pizzas. No pasta, which I think is weird. Anyway, the pizza is good. Lots of unique and tasty toppings. Appetizers are not my favorite - pretty basic and not a lot of flavor imo. Skip the fried spaghetti appetizer. It really has no flavor. My favorite pizza so far is the pep and pep. Simple, tasty, little spicy, and very good. The staff are very nice and attentive. Good service. Dessert is pretty good too. The cheesecake is yummy. Gelato is basic. All in all, good dining experience. read more

We were in town and it happened to also be college move in weekend. We did not think to get a reservation and had been turned away from another spot. And boy am I glad that happened because we came here instead! The manager, hostess and all the staff worked so well together! We were a party of 6 and after about 15 minutes or less we were able to be seated. We had no issues waiting and had a cocktail at the bar. Also amazing staff!! Then we got seated and ate some Felipe's food!! We also got, not pictured, the burrata cheese with peaches! I had the seafood pasta which I ate every single bite. The garlic toast in the white wine sauce was so divine! My sister loved her grilled Cesar salad! My brother said his pork was lacking in flavor some. But was still good. I went to lunch with a friend and ordered a bottle of sparkling water and a salad for my meal. The server was inattentive and we had to flag her down when we needed something. I asked for bread to have with my salad and was brought an anemic piece of toasted bread with maybe a smattering of olive oil on it. I could not tell. We thought that perhaps the server would be more attentive since the restaurant closes at two to prepare for dinner, and it was close to two when we were trying to order coffee. Once we finished our coffees, we had to get someone to get our server so we could obtain the check and pay. Much to my chagrin, I was charged $2.00 for the bread! One, a basket of bread really should be de rigueur for a restaurant that includes pastas and salads on their menu. And charging a patron money for a piece of toasted bread on a plate to have with their salad was really a poor move. I've eaten at Spetto twice before and had a delicious meal each time with good service so I am unsure as to what happened this time. The third time really was not the charm. read more

The food was really good and the desserts were delicious. I went with a big group and the restaurant was very nice. I got the chicken caesar salad and it was really good, however the chicken was a little bit dry. The service was decent, but the waiter was not very personable. I would go again to try other dishes, but it isn't a place I would go often. read more

Nice place to stop for lunch. The options are pretty standard with pizza and sandwiches on the menu. Everything has its own unique spin. The strawberry salad was a nice hearty portion with fresh ingredients. The chickpea patty sandwich was delicious could have used a sauce on the side. The pizza was also very satisfying with a spicy sausage spread and sesame crust. Our server was helpful in guiding us to what was good. Great addition to the neighborhood. We ate at the counter in front of the open kitchen, ownership on expo touching every plate. Well run on a busy Saturday night. Whatever bumps this new locale are dealing with as a new restaurant are not affecting service. Bartenders before we sat for dinner did a great job tending to a fiesty crowd of diners & waiters. The restaurant was very loud so we will try for a slower night hopefully next time. The food was very good quality and unique items. I wouldn't order the brioche dessert again because it was dry. Everyone raved about the pizzas and appetizers that were included with our set menu. The staff were friendly, attentive and unobtrusive. Terrible hospitality manners. We stopped by for lunch with no reservation. The hostess asked about reservations- we said we don't have one. Then she asked people behind us if they had reservations and they said no and she proceeded to sitting them right away. Then she disappeared for 10 min and when she came up to us she said there is no sitting available for next 20 min. I said that I see plenty of empty tables and that I just had my knee surgery and I literally can't stand for 20 min. What a horrible horrible rude hostess. We stopped in for the lunch menu, and definitely plan on returning to check out their dinner menu. Appetizers were SO good! I didn't get pictures because we started eating them once they made it to the table. I recommend the Gambas (shrimps amazing but it's all about the broth it comes in--ask for extra bread!), Fried Spaghetti (like fried mac but with spaghetti-my favorite) and Chips & Dip (we devoured this). We split a funghi pizza..it was delicious. The mushrooms were cooked perfectly. The sandwiches are made with pizza dough and I personally loved this concept. they're very filling so I'd recommend splitting with someone so you can get a pizza or apps as well. read more

This place is very nice. The layout is very cool. The servers were pretty much attentive and helpful in explaining menu items. The choices of beers was very good. The choice of menu items was I limited but good choices. We only had pizzas but the Bianca was excellent. I had the rosso which was ok but I'll try something else next time. I hope it lasts for a long time. I give it 4 not 5 since overall it was very nice but didn't blow us away. read more

This place has so much promise but it is DEAFENING. I cannot remember the last time I was in a restaurant where I couldn't hear my date talk half the time. The aesthetic is great, and our waitress was awesome. They have fun drinks - Amaro mixed with Boylan sodas. Our salads were great - super fresh - and my husband loved his pizza. My steak was just ok. But we had to high-tail it out of there because of how incredibly unpleasant the sound was. I hope they can do something about the acoustics but until they do I won't be back :(. read more

We were excited to hear about this new restaurant opening in our area, so had to try it. The food was very good. We had Cacio e Pepe, Pistachio Pesto, and a Margherita Pizza. Pasta portions were perfect. Not too much. The space is really nice and our server was great. The only issue we had was the music was a bit loud to have conversation. We asked our server if it could the volume could be lowered, which she obliged, however, I don't think it was lowered enough. It's not an issue that would prevent us from going again, which we plan to next week. Definitely recommend. Happy to have another nice dining option in our area other than Savona's. read more

For just opening they have it together! We were so impressed with our server Connor, he took very good care of us. The Owner was very attentive to details of what was going on and made sure he said hello to everyone. Their brunch menu has a little for everyone, breakfast, lunch & Salads. The Wine was limited selection but so delicious. It was busy but not crazy, and the noise level was well managed for a small place. I'm sure the will do very well.
