He patiently, precisely and carefully helped me replace every single light in my house that I had bought new (8 of them!), figuring out how to hang things and put them together right. He had to 'make things work' even though things didn't come from the manufacturer working, and he had obvious pride of workmanship. While he was doing this (large) job, he had great ideas on flooring solutions, made a referral, gave me some rough estimates on cost, and even came up with a solution on how to effectively solve a closet design challenge that I had struggled with the last 4 years. PLUS, he is a very kind, smart man with a super good heart who was very fair and reasonable in his prices! AND, he answered my 'reach out' call for help on Nextdoor That Night, and stuck through the job until it was done - I was thinking it was a 2 hour job (and was totally wrong....). He was efficient and fast and was willing to stick to our original agreed price (which I realized was too low...I paid him more as he was WORTH it.). I would highly recommend Pavel. I was lamenting to my mother a few weeks ago, how my house just looks so shabby. She had been using SPF construction to update a rental house she owns. She passed my information on to Pavel (the owner) and he reached out to me that night. I set up a consult with him for the next day! He arrived on time and was very professional. We did a walk through of the outside of the house, and decided that pressure washing and a new coat of paint would be the best! He emailed me a quote later that evening, and I went to start picking paint colors (let me tell you, the hardest most inconsequential decision you ever have to make). After 4 trips to the paint store and 17 color samples later we found our colors! Pavel and his team went to work and were amazing! Walked me through everything they were going to do. We could not have asked for a better contractor to install new engineered hardwood floor in our entire home. It is an older home, so unfortunately for us there were a lot of "discoveries" (such as a missing plywood for subfloor, an unexplainable giant concrete slab underneath one room, etc...) Pavel was awesome at explaining everything, problem solving with us, giving us options for getting around the issues, etc. He was super responsive and always reliable - he even stopped by to check on things when he wasn't supposed to be working. And the craftmanship when he finally got to installing the floor was outstanding. A+ for communication, hard work, and craftmanship. He also built a closet for us in the bedroom and doors for our shed, which was really helpful. If we could hire Pavel for our kitchen remodel, I would do it in a heartbeat. Pavel and crew painted our home recently. They did a great job! Pressure washed the entire house and garage, cleaned all the gutters, expertly masked off windows and doors and throughly painted every nook and cranny of our home's exterior. Having had a negative experience with other contractors in the past I was very cautious in choosing the right contractor for my small project. I had new siding around my house, which required the removal of some windows When it was reinstalled there were wide gaps let which allowed the wind to blow through. Pavel installed a gorgeous new roof (and I have a very complex, hipped roof), fixed some broken trim boards and cracked siding, painted the entire exterior - including my front door, power-cleaned my walkways and driveway, installed a sensational new cedar deck, built an outside gate on the side of the house, and installed a new door on the side of the garage.
