Upon entry it seemed decent. Only one other person there dinning. Right away I noticed the staff on her phone. We waited for her to seat us and when it didn't Halle. We sat ourselves. She looked at us and walked over to say hello after being seated for 5 minutes. She took our drink orders but it took us to remind her that we ordered drinks for her to bring them out to us. We put In Our order. Entree came with choice of rice so we said fried rice not thinking anything of it. We chose n appetizer of crab Rangoon. It came out fresh and rather big fried wontons filled with stuff. They were good and four of them for $9. Our entrees came out. One order was a chicken and mushroom dish. There was four overcooked slices of chicken. And a pound of mushrooms. The rice came on the side. The other order was pad Thai. 6 slices of the same chicken and a pound of flat rice noodles. Both dishes were so dry we asked for more sauce. We had to ask for drink refills because the server wasn't around. We didn't finish our meals because they lacked any flavor even though we ordered it mild and medium. Neither had any flavor or spice level. Very bland. I needed to maybe place a to go order and told her one sec while I called to see what soup they wanted the server already put in my to go order without me knowing. When she brought it to the table we asked what that was and she said to go order. When I explained we didn't want it she got real nasty and said she already charged me and wouldn't take it off. Needless to say I thought it was the lunch special that came with egg roll and soup. When I asked about it that's when she said they don't have lunch specials anymore. So the to go order ended up being $14 for pad Thai, $8 for 4 eggs rolls and $4 for fried rice. And there wasn't any soup. After tax it was $30 rounded up. I was shocked. I had no choice to accept the charge on my card that she wouldn't take off. When I asked why the extra charge for fried rice is when she explained to us that fried rice is extra steamed r is comes with it. But why did the menu say choice of? She said it's because you can choose which rice but the fried rice is extra. It would have been nice to know this before we got the fried rice. And let's not talk about a charge for the extra sauce we ordered. $1 for 2oz of sauce we were never told.about either. I def DON'T RECOMMEND dining here. Not only for the awful service but the food is even worse. I'm not sure if it's under new ownership because il zused to dine here Prob 5 years ago and it was very good. The new ownership is so nice. The place is always packed so you know it is good. I get a tofu cashew broccoli and it is amazing. The tofu comes in generous chunks (not the diced sized stuff you get elsewhere), you can choose your level of spice, the broccoli and other veggies are so fresh, and I just love it. There isn't an online menu for the new owners, but they seem to make whatever you want. The only reason I am not giving them 5 stars is because of the lack of menu availability and the hours aren't posted (they are just opened for lunch at this point I believe). And the menu that they have in house isn't all inclusive of what they make. But the food and service is excellent! read more

We needed a warm meal on the first day of Spring and decided on Thai. It's been a while since I've been there. I think the ownership has changed since then, but can't confirm. We were able to eat inside, but it seems like the majority of business is carry out and delivery. For some reason, the thermostat was at 82 degrees and was a little too warm. The interior is starting to show its age as well. The wings app was ok. The crab Rangoon is very good and one of the better ones around The Fort. My daughter ordered the fried rice and my wife had Chicken Masseman. I went with the traditional beef pad Thai (Medium spice) and all were excellent choices. I hope this little restaurant makes it through these trying times as we need different ethnic places on the north side of town. read more

I'm sad that I'm eating my LAST meal from here (at my desk in a carryout container despite the fact that we were in the restaurant for an hour and a half.) I expect it to not be quick, but the food was always worth it. Prices have gone up (as everywhere) while dropping some items that came with lunch in the past. I get it. But when the waitress asked what kind of rice we wanted with our meal and we order fried rice as we have the MANY, MANY, MANY times we have been there and doesn't tell you that now it is a $4.00 upcharge. You cannot offer a choice without saying one costs more than the other. That is just poor service. You just lost two customers who have brought you many more customers over $4.00/each. read more

We love Thai food and were very hopeful for a great experience but it definitely disappointed. We waited a very long time just to be able to even put our order in. We love beef salad and ordered this which was served as a salad with hot tomatoes, cucumber, and onions over a pile of raw spinach. There was barely any meat so we basically paid $14.95 for veggies and sticky rice. Their lack of knowledge and concern of food sensitivities was the most concerning. We have gluten sensitivities so I ordered a veggie chicken stir fry for my kids and asked for no sauce and they brought this drenched in what looked, smelled, and tasted like soy sauce. When I asked if this was soy sauce the waitress went back to ask and came back and assured me that it wasn't soy sauce. I asked her to make sure because my son would break out with dermatitis if it was and she said she would go ask again and came back and said it wasn't. This was very upsetting and I didn't want to argue and wait another 30 min for our food so he just ate white rice. I wouldn't recommend this place! The Pros: large portions, quick service for carry out. The Cons: Kind of expensive for just chicken fried rice, and then there was the taste. A simultaneous combination of under seasoned and almost burnt. The rice was not moist and in several bites (while I tried to give it a shot) there were grains hard enough they must have been uncooked entirely because I couldn't bite through them without cracking a tooth. The restaurant is very small and didn't have any background music or sound, making it very awkward to have a conversation with my husband because everyone could hear. I ordered the drunken noodles. The smell coming off the food was unappetizing. My food was okay but not great. I also felt like there were some surprises in my dish when compared to what the menu listed. I ordered the medium heat and it was spicy but tolerable. If you like spice that's not over powering I would suggest ordering the medium heat. My husband order the Pad Thai. My boss and I have been here several times. Today My boss ordered Chicken drunken noodles and I had the Thai Rice Chicken Soup. Both were delicious at medium heat level. I have had their Pad Thai chicken before and it is good too. The atmosphere is very nice with a maximum number of seating of 34 people. If you need to know more than that, the chicken wings were covered in way too much batter, the skin wasn't crispy, it was chewy and bland. I first came here in late October, 2011, when they had been open for 3 weeks. That was on a Saturday, and we found out that there were no "lunches" served on Saturday. They were only serving off the "dinner" menu all day Saturday, which meant higher prices!! The food and service were only so-so during that visit. I chalked it up to their lack of experience. Today, I stopped in to order for take-out. My wife got the beef pad-thai (stir-fried traditional rice noodles, meat with egg, garlic, bean sprouts, green onions, and tofu in the famous Thai sauce served with ground peanuts, julienne carrots, cabbage and purple cabbage) lunch special, and I had the chicken gang dang (sliced meat in red curry with coconut milk, bamboo shoots, green beans, bell peppers, basil leaves and kaffir lime leaves) lunch special. The lunch specials included the day's soup (tofu soup today) and a vegetarian egg roll. My dish also came with steamed rice. Both dishes were in good quantity and tasty. Oh...by the way, you can order any dish "mild", "medium" or "spicy". I like it kinda spicy, so I got the "medium". My wife likes it "mild". This place has authentic Thai food, and has reasonably priced lunch specials ($7.99). Their food is tasty, and they serve a good quantity of food. Their dinners are priced higher, in the range of $10.95 to $22.95 (seafood specialties). Watch out for their "dinner all day" Saturday. (Dinner prices ALL DAY!) read more
