Small spot with big taste! There are 3 levels for hot and sour. I got the least spicy which is named "spicy" so I can only imagine how hot the other two are! I really think the pad Thai is very good. Not too sweet and the noodles were really nicely done. The sauce in the chicken pineapple was very tasty as well. First time here and the lovely family that runs this place does an excellent job. I ate the Beef with Cashew Nut Chili sauce and it was exceptional. Beef was lean tender and abundant. Lots of perfectly sautéed veggies and cashews. Lots of flavor and perfect amount of salt. Generous portions. If I lived here, this would definitely be my go to for takeout and Thai. Having lived in cities for many decades, I was surprised at just how great the food is in this little place in the suburbs. On par with the best Thai in Boston. read more

The place isn't obvious when I reached there. Even drove past it and missed it when I got there. However, the staff was very hospitable and welcoming. I ordered a fried noodle and a vegetable soup. The soup was delicious. The noodle didn't look appealing but tasted really good and very spicy. Although I was informed that it was spicy, but it was still spicier than I thought. This is our go to place for Thai food. When we moved to the Metro West from Allston years ago we found that the one of the things we missed was authentic Thai food. Well about a year ago we stumbled upon Spice and Pepper. The service is great. The food is amazing. The dine in experience is great but a no frills approach. I grew up in Bangkok and lived there for over a decade, Spice & Pepper is hands down the best Thai food you can get in the area. There may be a few places in the city that are better, but even in Boston this place would be well above average. Wayland's Spice and Pepper has consistently produced some of the best Thai take out dishes in MA. Wow what amazing food! I stopped here on a whim and the food was great! I got the noodle tender beef and added shrimp to it for an extra $4. The dish was so tasty and everything was cooked perfectly! The portion was generous and I think doing a family style meal would be perfect! The place is pretty small and the kitchen is right next to the dining area so the air is kinda smokey. Excellent little Thai restaurant. I had the Chicken with Red Curry. It was just as good as the ones I've had in Thailand. Tons of vegetables and perfectly cooked rice. Served piping hot. My friend had basil chicken which he loved. The lunch menu is vast with the majority of dishes around $10. One thing they could work on was the decor, not sure if this would be a date night kind of place. But it's perfect for date night and Netflix. Service was excellent. Open kitchen. This is a great local Thai restaurant with authentic flavors and generous portions. I usually order takeout here once every couple of weeks, and their curry has not disappointed. You can pick from a couple different types of curries and pair it with meat or veggies of your choice, so there's lots of variety. Overall we had a good experience. Had to wait a little long for service but it's a small place with not too many staff, so understand. Our server was very friendly though. I had the crispy chicken pad Thai. Chicken was a little dry and there was a bone in one of the strips. The pad Thai itself was a little greasy but had good flavor overall. The portion size was just perfect for a filling lunch for $9.50. Parking is tight behind the building so street parking might be the easier option if I return in the future. The street (Route 20) is a little busy so consider take out if you don't want to deal with that! read more

We live in a town with very little delivery service, so Spice and Pepper is our goto for Thai food. Some of our favorite dishes: salmon in ginger sauce, crispy spring rolls, chicken coconut soup, jade noodles, and of course: mango fried rice and Pad Thai. Our favorite use is have them deliver when we're returning from a trip: we call on our way home from the airport and the food arrives shortly after we get home, allowing us time to concentrate on unpacking and checking the mail, instead of "what's for dinner." read more

Anyone who is honest like the cook at this restaurant gets five stars. I was in the lot and dropped some bills - $80 to be exact. I went back to find it and it was gone. A passerby said someone picked up the bills and went into this restaurant. I went inside and asked if anyone picked up my money. The waitress pointed to the cook who handed it over.
