New to Canton, Spice Art brings Indian cuisine to the town center. LOCATION: Located on the busy Main Street, Spice Art is in a tiny space with a few tables available. Street parking only. This is more of a grab and go place rather than a sit down. MENU: A lot of typical offerings from chicken tikka to Biranyi to Mango Lassi. FOOD: I ordered the mild chicken tikka masala and it came out sweeter than usual. It's a little different than others I've had before and I wasn't a fan of it - I needed a little more spice. The garlic naan was delicious though! SERVICE: I think they are still working things out but overall everyone was friendly.

Spice Art is a very new, nice little restaurant on Washington street in Canton. Today at their location I ate delicious tandoori chicken, garlic naan bread, basmati rice, and a side of chicken tikka masala. I also drank a mango lassi which hit the spot. This restaurant is owned by a lovely family who is very friendly and will make you feel welcomed. I recommend coming here for a eat in lunch or takeout when craving authentic Indian food.

Ironically our mother was named Elsie. We started with their delicious focaccia bread which was light and flavorful and had the calamari appetizer. Lightly breaded with two sauces and very good. The hostess and server were very friendly and engaging and food was served promptly. I had the Chicken Parmesan which was a good portion and the sauce was amazing! My sister had the Bolognese which was exceptional. Definitely a place we would return to and so glad we found it.

But you're paying for the service and not having to cook and clean and worry about anything. I cane with a party of 5 and the restaurant was packed. The server was good but overworked; it took forever to finally get the check because after the meal he totally forgot about us for 15-20 minutes and disappeared. We ordered the seafood chowder (good but no lobster...? @ 15 a bowl?) and the fried rice balls with red sauce, they were filling and flavorful, and texturally pleasing. The seafood primavera was bland. The mussels were good and the sauce was quite delicious. The chicken parm was good.

Food looked and tasted great, especially the veal chop. Unfortunately over 45 minutes from when we ordered and never got our appetizer.

They are vigilant about filling half empty water on the table. This time I ordered their royal pad Thai and chicken satay. Chicken satay is well marinated with curry sauce and perfectly cooked. The peanut sauce that comes with it is very savory. Royal pad Thai came with a majestic grilled tiger prawn on top. The prawn flavor is underwhelming but perfect fit when eaten together with the noodle. Despite its tastiness, I still prefer their Khao Soi. Will definitely return here for more

The staff was pleasant, and let me know that it would be a few minutes. Chicken Satay (4) $8.50 Tofu Pad Thai $13.95 Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice $13.95 Seafood Mixed Vegetables - Fresh mixed vegetables sautéed with light brown sauce $17.95 Tamarind Crispy Shrimp - Crispy jumbo shrimp, mixed vegetables with tangy tamarind sauce and served with Jasmine rice $19.95 Rama Crispy Duck - Crispy boneless duck and mixed vegetable in delicious peanut sauce $26.95 They gave us a small rice with each of the non-carb dishes, and served the tamarind sauce wisely on the side, safely contained in a plastic bag. Too bad they did not do the same with the peanut sauce for the rama crispy duck. But still everything was good. And the 4 jumbo shrimp were quite large, and exceedingly crispy. The same broccoli, snow peas, carrots, and diced bell peppers were nicely formed into a nest under both the crispy shrimp and the crispy duck, while the Mixed Vegetables included yellow squash, zucchini, some leafy greens and baby corn with the carrots, broccoli and bell pepper strips. I noticed a dated sign in the window, celebrating their anniversary in April with a free dessert for those dining in and hitting a certain spend amount. *** January 2026 Their chicken satay sadly seems to have shrunk in the new year. We selected duck as the protein on the pad Thai and it was a good portion. And they provided plenty of tofu in our entree, which came with white rice.
