A takeout dinner from Spice Art that left us seriously impressed. Sonny, the owner, was so incredibly kind, informative, and welcoming. You can tell they truly take pride in their food and in sharing authentic Indian cooking made with the freshest ingredients. He explained that their naan is made fresh every morning and that guests can choose their spice level from mild to extra spicy for every dish, which makes the experience feel really customizable and thoughtful. We got: BUTTER CHICKEN Ordered medium spicy and it was absolutely delicious. Boneless tandoori chicken cooked in a creamy tomato sauce with butter and aromatic spices. The sauce was rich and comforting with a nice kick of heat that did not overpower the dish. The chicken was tender and soaked up all that incredible flavor. CHICKEN TIKKA MASALA Ordered extra spicy and it definitely delivered. Boneless chicken marinated in spices, grilled in a tandoor, and cooked in a creamy tomato and onion sauce. The flavors were bold, warming, and wonderfully spicy. If you love heat, this one really hits the spot. BASMATI RICE Both chicken dishes came with a side of basmati rice that was cooked perfectly. Light, fluffy, and the perfect base for soaking up all of the flavorful sauces. MANGO LASSI Cool, creamy, and very yogurt forward with a lovely mango sweetness. Such a refreshing drink to balance the spices from the meal. HOMEMADE NAAN Absolutely divine. Soft, warm, and freshly made with the perfect chew. It was amazing for dipping into the sauces and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The service was incredibly fast and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Between the fresh ingredients, customizable spice levels, and delicious flavors, this was such a great experience. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Spice Art is a tiny and welcome addition to Canton Center.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It has only a couple of tables inside, so I presume that take-out is their primary business source.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have had lamb korma, which was good, although not particularly memorable. I have also tried their vegetarian appetizer platter, which included potato samosa and pakora. Again, the food is fine, but not outstanding. The people who work at Spice Art are very friendly and helpful. The food is definitely bona fide, but as noted, it's not outstanding. The menu is not as extensive as at other restaurants, but that is likely due to the (very) diminutive size of Spice Art. One could do much worse than Spice Art, and both price and convenience weigh in favorably. read more

I just discovered this hidden gem and I cannot get enough of their food AND customer service. As soon as I opened the door I was greeted by one of the kindest, warmest, sweestest, and most generous souls I have encountered in a very long time. Shilpa (the owner) is one a kind! Her smile brightened the room and her kind words & warm heart made me just want to stay there talking to her all day. She gave me a mango lassi to start and it was the most delicious thing I've had in a long time. I LOVE Indian food, but had never had a mango lassi. She explained the ingredients and that it is a palette cleanser & helps coat your stomach to handle all the spices. I could've had another 5 cups and would've been satisfied for the day, but I wanted to save room for the meal. Then the food came out...chef's kiss I ordered the butter chicken with rice and garlic naan. OMG, it was AMAZING! The chicken was so flavorful, tender and buttery. The sauce was perfect and out of this world. The naan was equally perfect and paired very well with butter sauce. I couldn't stop dipping. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant itself is not very large, but was super cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] You do have the option to dine in and enjoy your meal or take-out which I opted for as I was on school pick-up duties. Next time I will definitely dine in so I get enjoy Shilpa's company. To top it all off, Shilpa added some samosas to the bag which she didn't charge me for. That's absolutely took an already great experience to the next level. Everything was piping hot and cooked to perfection! The spice level was great! The portion size was pretty good. Between the samosas, naan and rice, I was able to get 2 meals with the chicken & sauce out of the lunch portion. I highly recommend trying out Spice Art! You will not be disappointed. New to Canton, Spice Art brings Indian cuisine to the town center. LOCATION: Located on the busy Main Street, Spice Art is in a tiny space with a few tables available. Street parking only. This is more of a grab and go place rather than a sit down. MENU: A lot of typical offerings from chicken tikka to Biranyi to Mango Lassi. FOOD: I ordered the mild chicken tikka masala and it came out sweeter than usual. It's a little different than others I've had before and I wasn't a fan of it - I needed a little more spice. After a long hike at Borderland, I and a friend went to Spice Art. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The establishment was so clean, we decided to eat there rather than order take out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great choice because the service was friendly and efficient, and their recommendations very helpful. The food was fresh tasting, wonderfully flavorful and generously portioned, and the yoghurt mango drink was like nectar for the gods! We will definitely be going back, and, before then, I'm looking forward to having the rest of yellow lentils and rice tonight! On my way to the Canton train station, saw the newly opened "spice art" and a craving for some spicy food struck. I ordered a takeout. Wait time was a decent 30 mins. We ordered hara bhara kabab, chicken tikka, order of garlic naan, paneer tikka masala and home style chicken curry. Hara bhara kabab was a hit, chicken tikka was slightly dry for my palate but spices were spot on. The chutneys that came along made a great dip for chicken tikka. Naan was perfectly cooked and paired very nicely with our entrées. The portion of rice along with our takeout was plenty. The place is clean and service was friendly. We will definitely try other items on the menu. So happy to have access to Indian restaurant in the Canton square! read more

Spice Art is a very new, nice little restaurant on Washington street in Canton. Today at their location I ate delicious tandoori chicken, garlic naan bread, basmati rice, and a side of chicken tikka masala. I also drank a mango lassi which hit the spot. This restaurant is owned by a lovely family who is very friendly and will make you feel welcomed. I recommend coming here for a eat in lunch or takeout when craving authentic Indian food. read more

The prices are insanely high for essentially a take out spot. Their prices are also inflated about 30% between in store menu pricing and online ordering. I guess its not enough that we have to cover the fees and delivery. read more

Came in here to try some Indian food and while it didn't disappoint, it also didn't wow me either. I had the chicken tika masala and the taste / sauce was decent. Quality of the chicken is pretty standard .... Most Indian restaurants use the similar quality chicken unless u go to fancier place. The garlic naan is ok. I was told they made the dough in house but I can't confirm. The best naan is made from scratch from dough in house with a fire pit. I've had those and you will be able to taste the difference. Portion of basmati rice is too little in my opinion. Really wanted to like this place after all the positive things we'd heard, but it just didn't cut it. Butter Chicken came out looking like Chicken Tikka Masala (bright red color, not the typical brown) and lacked flavor. The Rus malai dessert was said to be soaked in milk with pistachios-it came out in a plastic container looking like eggs in water. No milk or pistachios and sent it back. Did not offer a refund until we asked, despite telling me "we actually don't have that dessert yet". Should have been told. Naan was good, but we dined in and all food was served on paper plates (water tasted funny and was in paper cup). Two stars for good pricing. read more
